All of me

“Good luck today!” I texted him

“Thanks! :)” That put a smile on my face.

We had been texting pretty much the whole night and day. I was very excited for the game today. It was around 5pm when we all decided to get ready. Katie walks into my room as I was straightening my hair.

“Surprise!” as she pulled out a bag that she pulled from behind her back.

“Aw! What is this? You bought me something?” as she hands me the bag. I open it and see that she had bought me a Smith T-shirt.

“You are the best! Thank you!” as I give her a kiss on the cheek.

“We have to represent our boys today!” She smiles as she walks away.

After I finished doing my hair, I started putting on my makeup. I applied mascara, liquid eye liner and a nude lipstick. I wasn’t a fan of too much makeup. Then put on my new Smith T-shirt with my black skinny jeans, black leather boots with a little heal and my beige pea coat.

Katie, Mel and I got to the Garden around 6:30 pm. The seats that we had gotten were amazing, Loge seats just a few rows from the ice.

It was a nail bitting game. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Seeing two brothers play against each other was intense. They kept slamming one another on the boards. I couldn't even imagine how their parents did it when they played against each other. The game was very physical resulting in many penalties. The game went into overtime and the game winner was scored by none other than Brad Marchand, with an assist from Smith and Bergeron. I saw Reilly and Brandon hug it out after the game. It was so precious.

After the game, we waited for people to head out and I was waiting for a text from Reilly.

I finally see his name flash on my phone screen.

“Meet us in front of the locker room in a few minutes”

“They want us to meet them in front of the locker room.”

“Ok, lets go.” Katie said

“Do you know where it actually is...” I slightly laughed.

“I’m sure we can ask someone haha” Mel says. We all started laughing.

Surely we asked one of the workers and finally found the locker room.

We waited outside while they showered, dressed and finished interviewing. As the players came out, I could see Reilly looking around with his mouth slightly open and his lower lip parted from the other. He was wearing a dark grey suit with a maroon tie, which looked amazing on him. He looked so handsome. We finally make eye contact and his face lit up. My expression mirrored his.

“Hey you! Congrats on the win!” as I give him a hug.

“Thanks for coming!” pulling out of the hug.

“So are you guys coming out or not?” Mel asked the group.

“Nah not tonight, I’m going to meet up with Brandon, you guys go ahead though.”

“Emma?”

“Im going to have to pass too, I have an early class tomorrow, you guys go though! I’ll see you guys when you get home. Be safe!”

“Yes mom!” Katie said slight smile.

“How are you getting home? Do you want my car?” Mel asked.

Before I could respond, Reilly jumped in.

“I’ll take her home, its no big deal”

I turn towards Reilly “Are you sure, its on the opposite side of town. I can take a cab”

“No, don’t worry about it, I have some time to kill anyway”

“Ok! Make sure she gets home safe Reilly!” Katie said.

“Whose being the mom now?” Reilly teases, we all started laughing.

We started walking away from the group.

“You could have gone with them you know” Reilly said as he looks at me.

“Haha I really have an early class tomorrow”

“You sure its not because I’m not going?” with a smirk on his face.

“Please...you wish” as I bump into him as we walk to the parking lot.

“Ouch! Alright, I see how it is. You can walk home” as he starts walking away. I quickly catch up to him and place my arm around his.

“Reilly! You can’t get rid of me that easily” he starts laughing “Oh boy, what am I going to do with you?”

We reach his car. It was massive but it sure was beautiful.

“You should feel special because I don’t usually get into cars with strangers” I said

“I’m honored” being sarcastic. “But wait, you don’t trust me?” He turns sideways to face me with his eyebrow lifted.

“I never said I didn’t trust you Reills. I did get into the car, Didn’t I?” Did I just say Reills?

“Reills huh? Aw you have a cute nickname for me already?” He said, loving every moment of this.

I shook my head as my cheeks bursted with redness. Why! I kept looking straight ahead, avoiding eye contact as I could feel his piercing eyes on me. We stop at a red light and he grabs my chin and gently turns it to face him.

“You look so adorable when you blush.”

Well, if he thought that blush was adorable, he just made it 10 shades redder. I hated that it was so noticeable.

“Eyes on the road buddy” I didn’t know what else to say. I was saved by the light turning green.

All I could hear was him chuckling.

As we approached my apartment, he parked and turned off the car.

“You sure you don’t want to come up for coffee or tea?” I offered.

“I should get going, I have to meet my brother before he leave. Thanks though. What are you doing tomorrow?”

“I have class til noon then I’m free for the rest of the day.”

“Great, I’ll pick you up around 1!”

“You don’t waste any time do you? Haha! Where are we going?”

“I think I’ve waited long enough. And I’m not telling you silly, but do dress warmly.” He said as he flashed his teeth.

“Thanks for the hint”

“Ha! Anytime.”

“Ok I’ll let you go. Thanks for the ride!”

“No problem. Goodnight!”

I reach over and give him a kiss on the cheek.

“See you tomorrow.” Aw whose blushing now? It was adorable. I didn’t want to say anything so I gave him a warm smile.

“Bye!”

I go upstairs and open the front door. I could barely get the key in because my hands were shaking. I close the door behind me and go head for my room. I fall on my bed on my back. I have a date with Reilly tomorrow! I put my hands on my face. I couldn't believe it. So excited.

Around 3 am I hear the front door open since I wasn’t asleep I get out of bed.

“Hey girls! How was your night?!”

“Incredible! I’m so tired! I shouldn’t have drank as much as I did, but whatever. YOLO!” We all laughed

“Wait. Why aren’t you in bed? What happened? Is Reilly in there?” Mel asked trying to look into my room.

“What?! No of course not! But we do have a date tomorrow! Hence me not being able to fall asleep.”

“AH! Its about freaking time! Where are you guys doing? Give us the deets!” Katie said as she pulled the chair closer to the counter and Mel joins her.

“He wouldn’t tell me but he did say to dress warmly so I’m assuming outdoors?”

“We’re so excited for you! Now please go to bed you have class tomorrow!”

“Okay Mom!” I laugh as I go to bed.
