No way.

I can not sit here with Sidney Crosby.

Never in a million years.

The hockey player of all hockey players was standing in front of me, smiling happily. His carmel brown eyes were taking in the sight of James and Brandon Sutter play fighting, one punching the other in the shoulder, another punching the other in the stomach. He laughed slightly, just loud enough that I could hear him but not overwhelmingly loud like James's was. His smile was crooked, not just barely crooked, a noticeable crooked, a charming-without-even-knowing-it crooked.

Looking at all these things, I could only thing of one thing -"How do you think they look?" Catherine cut off my thoughts, pulling on my arm, her before curly hair now just a wave.

"Good" I said simply still staring at Sidney who seemed like he hadn't even noticed me yet, still watching James and Brandon, chiming into their conversation every once in awhile, laughing every time he did.

"Handsome?" She asked walking towards Kris, straightening his jacket while he looked at her lovingly.

"Of course" I laughed, earning a wink from James as fe ran a hand through his hair, something i noticed he did often. James acknowledging me must have been what caused Sidney to look up and notice me for the first time. He didn't say anything. Just stared. I tried not to acknowledge his staring and just focused on James smiling at me.

"Catherine?" I asked still not breaking the eye contact with James as he fixed his bow tie. "Am I free to leave?"

"You don't want to see Alex in his suit?" She asked turning away from Kris quickly to face me, a shocked look crossing her face. I looked down at my brand new bright blue watch, courtesy of Ralph Lauren. It was already 7 o'clock and I still wanted to get something to eat before going home and passing out.

I sighed heavily, knowing there was no way I could say no, and truthfully I did want to see Alex.
"How long?" I asked impatiently. "Just a few minutes" She paused, "Maybe a half an hour?" She said looking at me hopefully.

Great.

I sighed and sat down on the closest couch, ready to fall asleep any minute.

"So quick to leave?" James asked sitting next to me, stretching out across the couch once again.

"Exhausted" I sighed leaning my head back on the couch and closing my eyes briefly before turning to look at him, staring at me intently.

"Busy day?" He said seriously. Staring at me looking from my eyes, to my nose, even to my lips.

"Extremely" I smiled looking up at him, smiling at me.

"James!" Catherine yelled, one hand on Kris's chest, another pointing at us. "You can not sit around in that tux! Go change if you want to talk!" She sighed, raising her hand to her forehead and shaking her head fiercely before Kris pulled her in for a hug, stroking her hair and whispering in her ear, causing her to laugh.

"Well the queen has spoken" James joked standing up and brushing off his pants.He turned and walked back towards the changing room, turning back to smile at me when he was halfway there. As soon as he left, I pulled my phone out of my purse and scrolled through Instagram. I heard Catherine laugh again so I looked up to see her and Kris laughing and hugging, as they always were when they were together. But that wasnt all I saw.

Sidney.

Staring at me.

I pretended not to notice and just kept scrolling through my phone, picturing him standing there, coat over his arm, keys in hand, a focused look in his eyes, eyebrows knitted together in focus.

"Alex!" Catherine yelled as Brandon Sutter came in chasing the chubby young child.

"Momma" Alex mumbled as Catherine picked him up above her head dancing around in circles.

"Kids got a lot of energy" Brandon laughed tickling Alex's stomach.

"Wait till you and Sarah have your own" Catherine laughed Kris coming up behind her and playing peek-a-boo with Alex over her shoulder.

"Better?" James asked arms stretched out, now dressed in the same black shirt and jeans he had been wearing before, tux hanging over his forearm. Everyone turned to face him, even Alex lifted his head up from him mother's shoulder to turn and see James.

"Much" Catherine said as she places Alex back on the ground, fixing his tux which was a much smaller version of all the other guys.

"Hows he look?" Catherine asked everyone in general earning many responses ranging form cute or what a little ladies man.

"Great!" Catherine smiled picking him up and carrying him back to the dressing room where all of his clothes were, "Now we just have to make sure he gets down the aisle" She finished before closing the curtain.

"So sleepy," James said walking towards me, "What are you doing tonight?"

"Besides passing out? Nothing" i said sighing from exhaustion, running my hand through my thick brown hair.

"Life of the party" James said sarcastically. I glanced around to see everyone getting ready to leave, Tanner Glass already gone, going home to see his son he said. Everyone was walking out except me, James, and Sidney.

"I know!" James said as if he just had the best idea, walking towards the door with me, Sidney eyeing us suspiciously, "We, could go out, dinner" He said motioning between the two of us, as if this idea just came into his head suddenly.

"And what if I say no?" I asked raising my eyebrow at him, Sidney's eyes never leaving me.

"I'll take your keys" James said simply, staring at me seriously, not even a trace of a smile.

"And if I say yes?" I asked.

"I knew you would" He smiled cockily before throwing his coat over his shoulders and pushing the door open, Sidney following close behind.
