A Favor for a Friend

I watched intently as the first period started. I was really nervous about this game for whatever reason. I mean, yes I do get nervous about games a lot but this was different. I was watching Sid like a hawk the entire time. He was all game now.

Alexander Edler claimed first goal of the game. I wasn't too concerned yet. It was far too early for that. We could still easily score one goal.

About two minutes later Sid tied up the game with a wrist shot. I was thrilled. The game was tied now.

The second period was pretty much the same. Kunitz got a goal giving us a slight lead, but then tied again when Brad Richardson got one past Flower.

It was intermission now between the second and third period. You could cut the tension in the air with a knife. This last period would be war, one that they were all prepare for.

The team came out of the locker room ready to finish the game. I grabbed Olli's shoulder before he made it on the ice though.

"You are thinking. I can see it. Now stop it." I said and let him go. He sighed and nodded. He went back on to the ice and waited for it to start.

It was like an explosion now as the game began. I'm could hardly keep track of the puck. That was until a goal was made. A tip-in from Zack Kassian. Now I was nervous.

Sid took the puck not long after that. He knew he couldn't make it though. He glanced over at me for a fraction of a second. He knew what I was thinking.

He passed it to Kunitz who quickly passed it off to the only other player he could. Olli.

Olli did exactly what I told him too. He didn't over think what he was doing. He saw an opening and he took it.

The puck flew past the goalie and into the net. The buzzer went off and the entire team went crazy. I threw my arms up and cheered.

Dan took him out then and sent someone else in. He was congratulated by the team for a minute before he turned to me.

"I didn't think." He said with a bright smile.

"I know and you scored!" I said.

He laughed and gave me a quick hug.

"I really do owe you for that." He said and let me go.

"No, that was you!" I said quickly.

"If was you." He said as he sat down.

I rolled my eyes. "Boys..." I mumbled to myself.

The third period ended with a tie. Over time ended and if was still three to three. We were on to a shoot out.

Geno made the third round goal. He was the only one to make it too. We won.

"We are going out tonight!" Sid said as they all came back.

I groaned. "Not again."

"Not at a bar though, don't worry." He laughed as he went back to the locker room. Just when I thought my day was over....
