A Favor for a Friend

Chapter 28

I froze, the words finally sunk in. He loves me? There is no possible way. I must be imagining things! Maybe I tripped and hit my head off the railing going to my seat. I couldn't so anything but stare at him in disbelief.

"Aliyah?" He said a little more high pitched then normal, "Y-You aren't mad at me right?"

It took me a moment to shake my head. "No, I, um... I just wasn't expecting that." I gulped.

"You don't feel the same way, do you?..." He looked away.

"I never said that." I said softly.

He looked back up at me, a concentrated look on his face. He opened his mouth to say something but he seemed lost in words also.

"I don't know what to say...." I said.

"You don't have to say anything." He said taking my hands. I looked up quickly, his lips meeting mine. I almost fell backwards in surprise. He was the only one who kept me from falling back.

I couldn't even explain the feeling in the pit of my stomach. I felt dizzy and light headed but at the same time I never felt more alive. I felt like I could drop dead right there.

He pulled away and let go of my hands. I still couldn't think straight. The world was still spinning.

"Does that answer your question?" I said looking up at him.

"That and so much more." He smiled shyly.

"The guys will have a field day with this." I said with a bit of a laugh at the end.

"I know. Why don't we go back now? We can start making plans to get you moved in wherever you are staying. You are more than welcome at Jussi's. He thinks you're great." He laughed.

"I couldn't do that, I am a pain to live with. I will probably get an apartment right outside of the city." I said with a shrug.

"If you want to get a list together of complexes I can go check them out for you." He said eagerly. "The sooner the better."

"Ok." I laughed. "Lets go. We can search some places on the internet."

He nodded and grabbed his coffee and handed me mine. We walked out together and started making our way back to the hotel. Olli took my hand not long after we started walking, intertwining our fingers. I smiled a little. It was weird but at the same time it wasn't. It was like we skipped right over the awkward stage of it.

"Are we ready to face them?" I asked as we neared the hotel.

"We will have to at some point." He sighed. That was true. I guess it was better to just get it over with. It was still strange to me though. An hour earlier I was going to meet a friend for some coffee. Now I was walking back with my....boyfriend. The word just didn't seem right.

"Well what do we have here?" Said somebody over my shoulder.

"You show up at the most annoying times." I sighed and turned to face James.

"I was sooooo right about you two getting together. Nisky owes me fifty bucks." He said and got on the elevator with us like he had done earlier.

"You bet on this?" Olli raised an eyebrow though he didn't seem all that surprised.

"Matt said it would be at least another week. I said it would be once you guys were alone. I was right and he owes me money." He said as the elevator opened.

"You guys are ridiculous." I shook my head.

"I'm getting money so I don't care. See you later, lovebirds." He smirked as he walked down the hall.

"Ignore him." Olli said quickly before I could say anything back to him.

I waited as he unlocked the door and opened it. "Jussi is here but he might be asleep." He whispered.

I nodded and walked in behind him. Jussi was asleep like Olli said. Olli grabbed his laptop and turned it on. Let the search begin.

Notes

How about that goal Olli made?! Dayum. Didn't see that one coming. Rookie represent!
