Evgeni’s POV
I woke up at the ungodly hour of 6am. Why was I even awake this early we had the day off? Jessie was curled up in my side and she was bound to sleep away the day after last night.

I got up and found some clothes of mine that had made a new home on the chair in the corner of Jessie’s room before going to take a shower.

Everything in here, all the girly things didn’t faze me. There may have been no room in the rack for anything of mine but a toothbrush but in the end that was all I needed. I didn’t care that it smelt just like Jessie, in fact that probably made it worse.

I grabbed a bottle of shampoo to wash my hair but I was distracted by how much it reminded me of her. It made her hair so soft and smell amazing. I dug my fingers into my hair as I massaged the shampoo into my skull, if there was one thing I wanted it would be for Jessie to be doing this for me. Her hands racking my scalp, I loved when she did that.

If there was one thing I hated about showers it was all the pondering you could do in there. I mean there is no other place where you can just stand there pointlessly with water running over you, not having to worry about anything or someone barging in on you. Unless it’s the showers at the rink which of course you get in and out as fast as you can and if you are caught staring well then people start to give you a wide birth. And yes I had made the mistake once but in my defense I was not staring at anyone they walked into my field of view.

I had almost run the water cold before I realized I should probably get out in case Jessie did wake up and wanted to clean up too.

I headed out into the lounge room where Sebastian was wide awake lying on his soft mattress dog bed waging his tail at me.
“Morning boy,” I knelt down next to him and petted his soft head.
Jeffrey woke up at the sound of my voice and plodded over to me and nudged my side before letting out a little whine as he stood over his bowl.
“You hungry? Want food?” both of their ears pricked up and Jeffrey followed me into the kitchen.

I had come accustomed to Jessie’s house, her lifestyle, her morning routine. I knew how she liked her pancakes made for breakfast on the weekends and how she always ate oats and fruit for breakfast during the week.
I spent more time at Jessie’s now then I spent at my own place. Her place was small but it felt like a home where mine was so big it could get rather lonely sometimes.

I laid on the floor with the dogs all morning, moped around, ate breakfast, watched television tried to keep myself occupied until Jessie woke up, which felt like it took forever before she rose about midday.

“Hey,” she plodded out of the bathroom looking like she had just fallen into the bathtub.
“Hey,” I rubbed the spot on the floor for her to come and lay with me.

“How you feel?” I couldn’t hold back the chuckle as she crawled onto the floor and laid down next to me burring her face into the carpet.
“It’s not funny, my head hurts and the shower did nothing,” she pouted lifting her head up, “ah Jeffrey,” he caught her defenseless and licked her face.

“Why do you do that?” she taped his nose and frowned at him.
“Jeffrey love you, he kiss you,” I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into my chest.
“I don’t want kisses from him.”
“What about me?” I began to kiss her face and let them trail down her neck.
“No, Evgeni!” she began laughing as I dug my fingers into her side before she pulled away, “stop it, my head hurts.”
“Need drink more water,” I stopped and tucked her hair behind her ear.
“Too late.”

I got up anyways and grabbed her a bottle of water as she settled on the much more comfortable sofa.
“Drink you feel better soon,” I sat down and pulled her into my side.

I turned the television on but left it down low as she stared off into space.

“Evgeni,” she looked up with questioning eyes.
“Yeah?” I looked down wondering what could be bothering her.
“When you mentioned kids last night were you talking about kids in general or like us having kids?”
“Umm,” I felt my mouth begin to dry, “I talk about kids… with you.”
“Ok,” she smiled looking down.
“What you mean ok? Not bothered? Not scare you?” I looked down at her rather confused.
“No it’s refreshing to think about the future, I mean not everything goes to plan but we can hope it will, right?” she looked up hopefully.
“Right,” she lent up and kissed my lips as a smile crossed both of our faces.

“and besides if we think we wont last then what is the point in being together in the first place,” she got up and went into the kitchen, “if we don’t plan to be together we might as well just not bother.”
“Of course bother,” I followed her in as she searched through the fridge, “best girlfriend ever,” I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into me.
“You’re the best boyfriend ever,” she turned around and I pressed my forehead against hers as we just stared at each other.

I really did love her. She was the best girlfriend I had ever had. I didn’t want to imagine the future without her in it. I wanted a big house to become our home, I wanted kids, I wanted animals everywhere, I wanted to be happy.

“Oh and my mum asked if we wanted to go over for Christmas lunch,” she finally brought me back to reality.
“My parents come here next week… you come for Christmas dinner?”
“Ok we go to mine for lunch and yours for dinner but Sebastian is going to have to come with us, I can’t leave him at home after his surgery.”
“Is fine, Jeffrey share his bed,” I kissed her forehead and played with her shirt.
