Jessie’s POV
“Jessie wake up,” Evgeni’s Russian accent ran through my ears.
“Jessie,” I felt his big strong arms wrap around me.
“Mmm,” I groaned rolling over and wrapping my arms around him, “what’s the time?” I was confused by how dark it was outside and why I was in fact awake.
“6 o’clock at night,” he confirmed dropping a kiss to my forehead as I struggled to open my eyes.

“How are you feeling?” he ran his hand through my hair making me relax into his arms.
“I am a little confused but I am ok,” I felt a little off as I sat up.
“Just ok?” he looked on with worrying eyes.
“I will be fine,” I got up and headed into the bathroom.

“Wait, why did you bring me to your place? Your parents are going to think I am some over dramatic idiot,” I washed my face.
“No they don’t,” he lent up against the doorway with his hands shoved in his pockets.
“How do you know that?”
“Because,” he sighed walking over to me and closing the gap, “mum worry about you,” he wrapped his arms around me, “make us dinner.”
“She wouldn’t have happened to make that soup again?”
“Mama always make borscht, is best,” he pulled away and grabbed my hand as he dragged me downstairs.

“Jessie,” his mother looked relieved to see me, “you ok?”
“I am fine thanks,” I accepted her warm hug.
“You and Zhenya sit,” she ushered us into the lounge room, “I get dinner.”

“See,” Evgeni patted the spot on the sofa next to him.
“Ok I guess you’re right,” I flopped onto the sofa next to him and let myself get pampered over by the most loving family in the whole world.

“You really don’t have to,” I insisted as Evgeni, “the least I can do is take out my bowl.”
“I help you,” he pried the bowl from my hands.
“Fine… but let me help you do the dishes,” I got up and followed after him.
“No sit,” he put his hands on my shoulder and pushed me in the direction of the lounge room.
“I don’t want to,” I turned around and he knocked me over.

“Jessie,” he laughed as he picked me up off the floor.
“You’re supposed to stop,” I whined as he pulled me into his chest.
“I am sorry,” he kissed my forehead, “you ok?”
“Yes,” I grumbled and took a seat up on the stool by the bench, “do the dishes I am tired and want to go to bed.”
“Well go bed I be soon.”

I went upstairs and found his mother folding up some of his washing on the bed.
“Jessie,” she looked over and me and offered a small smile.
“I am sorry,” I turned around to leave.
“Jessie here,” she patted the bed next to the washing basket.

“What wrong?” she looked at me with sorry eyes as I sat down.
“Just friends,” I shrugged, “want some help?” I picked up a pair of his sweats and began folding them. She didn’t stop me so we just sat folding his washing in silence. I didn’t know how he still had so much since he spent all of his time at my place and had a stack of clothes taking space on the dining room table but it gave us something to do together.

“Want talk?” she offered.
“Not really, actually…” she sat and listened as I explained everything that happened with Liam. Her understanding of the English language was enough that she could understand what you said but had a hard time speaking.

“Poor dear,” she pulled me into her arms for a warm hug, “you miss him?”
“I do, I miss him a lot,” I cried as she ran her hand up and down my back, “but I love Evgeni and I can’t have them both.”
“Jessie,” I looked up through my blurring eyed vision to see Evgeni’s figure standing at the door.

His mother said something in Russian to him and then I was being shifted from her arms back into the safety of his before she left.

“I know what make feel better?”
“What?” I sniffled looking up at him.
“Best part of house,” he pointed to the bathroom, “bath.”

Evgeni’s POV
“You ok?” I ran my hand down the side off her face as she rested her head on my chest.
“Yeah,” she pushed the foam away that was floating to close to her head.
“I worry about you.”
“I am fine,” she shifted hiding her face in my neck.
“What about Anna?”

She didn’t say anything at first, just laid with me drawing circles on my chest with her finger.

“I am bad friend aren’t I?” she spoke quiet and slowly.
“No not bad…”
“I am!” she sat up in huff before tears began streaming down her face, “I am the worst friend in the world.”
“Come here,” I grabbed her and pulled her back to me, “no your not.”
“Yes I am… She’s right ever since I started dating you I have ditched them. I don’t see her anymore, I don’t call her, I am too preoccupied with you,” she pushed away and climbed out of the tub in a hurry.

“Jessie,” I climbed out after her and wrapped a towel around my waist as she began to run away from me before she slipped on the tiles.
“Jessie stop,” I grabbed her and held her to my chest.
“Owww,” she laid in my arms in pain holding her ankle.
“Shhh its ok,” I held her until most of the crying had stopped

“We fix this,” I kissed the top of her as she began to shiver in my grasp.
“How?” she trembled as her teeth began to chatter together.
“I explain, I take you away,” I picked her up and carried her over to the warmth of my bed before she froze half to death, “is my fault.”
“Don’t say that it’s not your fault,” she looked up at me with sad eyes and I knew she hadn't meant what you said before.

As much as it hurt when she blamed me she was right. I had taken her away from her friends. I wanted to be with her every moment I could. Come to think of it though the guys had been complaining that I spent so much time with her too. Maybe we just needed to calm down a little and get back our normal routines for a while.
