I slowly open my eyes. I wipe the sleep from them. I sit up and look around the room. I realize that Reid and Sid aren’t in the bed. I look at the clock, its past eight. I don’t have to be at work till eleven today, but I had planned on getting up early and making breakfast for Reid and I. I get out of bed and go downstairs. I smell something cooking before I even get to the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and smile.
“Good morning.” Sid says.
“Hi mommy.” Reid says.
“Morning boys.” I say walking to the island and sitting down.
“We make breakfast.” Reid says watching Sid mix pancake batter.
“Oh yum pancakes!” I say. “My favourite.”
“With fresh blueberries.” Sid says moving everything close to the stove. He began cooking with Reid watching him closely.
“Don’t go to close to the stove baby. I don’t want you to get hurt.” I say.
“Okay mommy.” Reid says his eyes still big as he watches Sid. After a couple seconds he flips the pancakes with ease. I study him as he does. I don’t remember the last time a guy cooked for me. It’s actually nice. Every time Sid did something he told Reid what he was doing. Reid stood there with fascination and excitement on his face. As Sid was finishing up making the breakfast I set the kitchen table for the three of us. I was pretty sure Lily was still sleeping and I didn’t want to wake her up until we had to leave for work. I would take Reid with me, but I want him to meet James before I take him to work. Sid puts the pancakes down on the table and we all sit down.
“Did you have a good time last night with Sid?” I ask Reid as I put a couple smaller pancakes on his plate.
“Yes.” Reid says eying the pancakes on his plate. I spread some butter on the pancakes. I pour a bit of syrup on before cutting it into smaller pieces. Reid sits patiently waiting even though I can tell he wants to eat badly.
“What did you guys do?” I ask as I serve myself.
“We watched Cars, and we played with cars.” He says.
“That sounds like a lot of fun.” I say.
“It was.” Reid says. He then turns his focus completely on the food in front of him.
“Did he go to bed easy?” I ask turning to Sid.
“Kind of.” Sid says.
“He tricked you into watching TV in my bed didn’t he?” I ask.
“Yeah.” Sid says looking a little distraught.
“It’s okay, he does it with everyone.” I say.
“Why didn’t you wake me when you got home?” Sid asks.
“You looked so peaceful.” I say. “Plus I really didn’t want to wake Reid. He never goes back to sleep right away.”
“Yeah that doesn’t surprise me.” He says. “I didn’t even hear you come in.”
“I’m very quiet.” I say.
“I can tell.” He says. After a couple minutes Reid finishes. He goes into the living room to play with his toys. Sid and I finish up our meals and clean up the table. We put the dishes into the dishwasher and then we go into the living room. We sit on the couch and talk about their night a bit more. After awhile Sid finally asks me about my night.
“How was your date?” Sid asks.
“It was really good.” I say.
“Tell me about it.” Sid says.
“Well, we went to Eleven.” I say.
“It’s very nice there.” He says.
“I agree.” I say. “James got us a private table in a private room. He arranged all the courses and the food was amazing.”
“Very nice.” He says. I told him about the food and how the room was set up. “Did you tell him about Reid?”
“Yes.” I say. “It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.”
“I told you it would be fine.” Sid says.
“I know, but I’ve had a bad reaction in the past.” I say.
“Really?” Sid asks.
“Yeah, you have to remember, it’s a family you are getting if we get together.” I say.
“I guess you’re right. It’s a lot to take on, but some guys are okay with that.” He says taking my hand into his.
“Sid…” I say. “There is nothing between us right?”
“No, we’re just friends right?” Sid asks. I smile.
“I was hoping we were best friends.” I say.
“Oh we are!” Sid says a ton of excitement in his voice.
“Good, because Reid really likes you and I really like you.” I say. “I also really like James though.”
“I’m glad.” Sid says.
“I just hope he likes me back.” I say. “Wow I feel like I’m high school again.”
“I’m sure he likes you back.” Sid says. “I’ve never heard of him taking a girl to a private room before.”
“I feel so special.” I say. We both laugh. We talk a bit more about the date and the upcoming team event. After a little while I go upstairs to get dressed and woke Lily up. I went to get ready for work. Once I was ready we left for the rink. I was excited to see James, but also a bit nervous. I was just hoping he hadn’t changed his mind about me.

I spent most of the day in my office working on press releases for some upcoming events. I was feeling tired and it was almost time to go get lunch. I was working on the end of press release when someone knocks on the door. I save my work.
“Come in.” I say. The door opens and Brandon walks in.
“Hey.” He says closing the door behind him and sitting down in the chair on the opposite side of the desk.
“Hey you.” I say smiling at Brandon.
“I didn’t know you were working today.” Brandon says.
“Yeah, I’m always working sweetie.” I say.

“I work when you guys work.” I say. “Except Friday.”
“Why?” He asks.
“I’ll be setting up for the event all day. Working on press things.” I say.
“That’s fun.” He says.
“I’m sorry, does my PR work bore you?” I ask.
“A little, to be honest.” He says.
“How rude.” I say pretending to be offended.
“I mean I don’t know much about… I could learn… I don’t…” Brandon stutters.
“Sweetie I was joking. “ I say. “I like it, and someone has to do it.”
“That’s true.” He says.
“Without me, your life would be much more complicated.” I say.
“Probably very true.” He says.
“Anyways, what’s up?” I ask.
“You’re obviously going on Friday?” He asks.
“Yes.” I say.
“Maybe we could go together?” He asks. I’m silent for a couple seconds so he continues. “Not like a date or anything, just like in the same car, sitting at the same table, you know?”
He looks nervous. I take a deep breath.
“I totally would, but I’m going with James.” I say. “We’re kind of dating.”
“Oh, right I should have guessed.” He says. “Sorry.”
Neither of us speak for a couple minutes. It’s a bit awkward. I look down at the ground.
“I should go.” He says. “I’ll see you later.”
“Okay.” I say. He gets up and leaves my office, closing the door behind him. I sigh. I try to put whatever that was with Brandon out of my head and get back to work. I finish two more press releases when there’s another knock on my door. I sigh.
“Come in.” I say feeling a bit exhausted now. James opens the door and comes in. He’s carrying coffee and flowers. I stand up and smile when he gets to my desk.
“Hey babe.” James says putting the coffee down on my desk.
“Hey you.” I say smiling.
“I had a great time with you last night.” He says still holding the flowers.
“I did too.” I say.
I was wondering… Maybe… If you wanted… If not that’s totally fine… But maybe…” He says.
“Maybe what?” I ask.
“You want to be my girlfriend.” He says blushing. He immediately looks down at his feet.
“Really?” I ask in complete shock. I try not to jump up and down screaming like a little girl. I take a couple deep breaths.
“Yeah.” He says.
“Of course I do.” I say. “I would love to.”
“Awesome.” He says looking up at me. I smile. James walks around the desk. He hands me the flowers. “These are for you.”
“They are beautiful.” I say taking them from his hands and smelling them.
“Just like you.” He says. I blush.
“Thank you.” I say putting the flowers down on my desk. He takes my hand and pulls me toward him. He pushes a piece of my hair behind my ear. Then he leans in and kisses me. I hook my arms around his neck standing on my toes just a bit. It’s easier since I’m in high heels. I end up a bit closer to him. I can feel his erection on lower abdomen. James kisses me again. This time, a bit more passionately. I smile through the kiss. Once we break apart James looks at me in the eyes.
“I like it when you smile during our kisses.” James says. I bite my lip.
“I like it when you kiss me.” I say.

“Yes I do.” He says.
“Good, come over around six.” I say. We stay on the couch for a bit longer talking about what Reid likes and his size.
“I should get downstairs before one of the guys comes looking for me.
“Yeah, I should get back to work.” I say. We both stand up. James gives me a quick kiss.
“See you tonight girlfriend.” He says.
“Girlfriend!” I say with a lot of excitement. “I like that.”
“I like it too.” He says.
“See you tonight boyfriend.” I say a huge smile on my face. James leaves my office closing the door behind him. I feel amazing. Not only because I was just satisfied sexually, but I’m excited to be dating James. I like him and I’m looking forward to seeing where this relationship goes.
