Either You Do...Or You Don't

Chapter 4-

James’ POV:

“So, did she come back?” Paul asked as he skated by me. It had been two days since Melanie left

“No…I guess she went to Melanie’s for the night…” I replied, shooting a puck towards Flower

“Have you even talked to her about all of this?” he asked. I had already told Paul about the situation with Allison and that she was pregnant.

“Just the once before she left…I tried calling her, but she ignored my calls.”

“What are you going to do about it?” he slid me another puck and I shot it again, this time I completely missed Flower and it went sailing over the glass nearly hitting Dan Potash.

“Sorry, Dan!” I called. “I don’t know, man…”

Before Paul could respond, Coach got on the ice. “Alright boys, Power Play drills!”

Allison’s POV:

“Isn’t this the cutest?” Vero squealed, holding up a little dress. “Estelle is going to look adorable in this.”

I smiled, “She will.”

“What’s wrong? You seem…sad.” Vero said, looking up from clothes and at me.

“It’s nothing…well…not nothing…I just…James and I aren’t doing too good and I left two nights ago.”

Vero’s eyes widened, “Oh. What happened?”

“I’m pregnant…and the baby may not be his.”

“Oh my god! Congratulations! Well not on it probably not being James’, but congratulations. Having a child is so amazing.”

“I know…I just…I know that it isn’t James’…and I just…I want to make things better with him, but this isn’t going to help.”

Vero nodded sympathetically, “How does he feel about it?”

“He’s upset…obviously. I just don’t know what I’m going to do…we’ve been through so much…”

“If it’s meant to be, it will be. Things will work out, trust me.”

I smiled and nodded. Vero was right. Things would work out.
