What Kind of Job

Confusion, Injury, Truth!

April's POV.
What kind of job has that much traveling in such a short time? There is something strange about this guy and I don't know what it is. He hides his face, he keeps to himself. He needs to rest all day than go to work all dressed up. He's very fit and probably needs to be for his job. He also needs to travel a lot for work. It's just strange.
James' POV.
Time to play Montreal, the national anthem is almost over and I'm about as prepared as I'm gonna get. I get a bit of time to practice crease movement then the puck is dropped. It's in my end now and it's early in the game, I need to be sharp to keep this team alive. Gionta's coming at me, then time slowed right down. Gionta hit me, knocked my mask off. I went down, no whistle. I try to get up but the best I can do is get to my knees. The pucks down by Carey Price and I really hope he smothers it or the refs notice I'm still down and blows play died. The ref blows the whistle as I get to one knee. I take a second to regroup and put my back mask on. Then I stand up, Gionta goes to the box and the game continues.
I hate leaving a game in the middle so I don't want to leave. I stay in and made 9 saves on 10 shots in the first.

"How do you feel?" Guss asked me near the start of the intermission.
"I'm good, I think I can play." I said but I still felt a little woozy.
About 7 minutes later, I knew I was wrong. I told Ron and Guss I couldn't play the rest of the game. I felt bad, this only gave Guss a few minutes to prepare but he told me he was ready.
April's POV.
We had a game tonight and won. After the game some of the other girls and I had a small party. My friend Natalie is a bit of a hockey nut.
"They probably are half way through the second, it's not too late to start watching it." She says as she turns the game on.
Leafs and Habs great. If I had to route for a team it would be Vancouver but I don't really like hockey.
"Aww where's Reimer? I thought he was playing." She says looking disappointed.
"Who's Reimer? And why does it matter?"
The look on her face is suppose to be shock I think but it makes me laugh. "Reimer is the goalie. Like don't you know anything?"
"I do, just not about hockey." I say still laughing.
All she does in response is a noise of disgust and she turns her attention to the game.
James' POV.
My head hurts pretty bad but I want to stay to support the guys. The team doctor says it should pass and I can probably play soon. I'm getting an MRI tomorrow and Scrivens is making the trip out here just to be sure.
The first shot on Guss goes in. It's only 29 seconds into the period too. A minute later Kessel scores which is almost immediately followed by Phaneuf. In the third Montreal scores twice. They're in the lead but not for long. Kulemin scores to keep us in it. 1 minute into overtime Grabovski scores! I'd love to get on the ice and celebrate with them but I know I can't. I'll have to wait until they're off the ice. I know they not only won that one for them, but they won it for me too. You always want to win more when a guy gets hurt.
April's POV.
The leafs won and it was actually a pretty good game. Natalie wants to watch the after game show. When they start talking about her favorite goalie Reimer getting injured in the first she gets quite. When I see his face I get quite.

Notes

Once again, I'm new at this, but I really would like advice for future stories.
