Hello Again
Wow
Since Tyler moved into Brad and Jamie's house, I haven't been flying down to visit as much. It's time I have to go down for 2 weeks to get together the Boston Bruins engagement party for Brad and Jamie. They all know that I will be there and I hope Tyler can put aside his differences with me for his job. I know I can, it's just up to him.
I got off of the plane to see Jamie waiting for me at the airport waiting. I was so happy to see my girl! With the hockey season starting officially in a week, the boys were busy at practice and training. I loaded my bags in and hopped in with Jamie. After catching up quickly, we arrived to her house. Brad and Tyler were in the driveway playing road hockey with Brad in net. They seemed like little kids. When I got out of the car, I skipped up to Brad and jumped into his arms, chanting, "Bradly, I've missed you!" "Oh Kyls, I've missed you too!" I hopped down and saw Tyler. "Hey Tyler," "Hey, how was your flight?" "It was actually really quick." I said fixing my shirt.
I unloaded all of my things into the guest room next to Tylers and went downstairs. Tyler was in the kitchen eating an apple, and Brad and Jamie were getting their coats on. "Where the heck are you two going?" I asked them in shock. Where the hell are they going!? Why are they leaving me with him!? "Oh, did Jamie not tell you?" he asked. "No, I forgot to mention it." I shot her a death glare and she just laughed at me nervously. "I am taking my beautiful fiancee on a weekend getaway, since next weekend is our opening night and the weeend after that is our engagement party with the Bruins.
"I really hope you don't mind Kylie," Jamie pleased. Mind!? MIND!? OF COURSE I MIND! My mind was screaming in the back of my head. Too bad I had to stay calm so Tyler doesn't freak out. "Wait, why didn't you tell me either bro?" Tyler asked getting up from the island, walking over to us. "Well I thought you knew." "What about the team curfew?" "They gave me a hall pass," he winked, "seriously, babe, we have to go," "Oh right, Tyler, you know where everything is, Kylie, you do too. Both of you please get along." "Will do," we said in unison while they opened the door with their luggage.
The second they left, the both of us just looked at each other not knowing what to do or say. "Wait, so uhm, what is this hallpass?" "This weekend we all have to stay home as much as possible unless for gorceries to try and focus on our upcoming game. But we have to stay home toreceive random phone calls on the home phone so they know we are home and we can only have two missed calls per day. So it looks like we are spending the weekend together." Wow. Thanks Jamie.
At first it was very awkward and I didn't know what to do. He was up in his room the whole time while I stayed in the family room and watched TV and read magazines. Around 5 I was getting hungry. I got up and walked up to his room and knocked on the door. "Come in," he said. I opened the door and saw him laying in bed in black shorts and a black hoodie. "Hey, I was getting hungry, do you want anything?" "I was just thinking the same." "What do you guys have?" "Not sure. Give me 10 minutes and I will come downstairs and help you." "Sure thing." I smiled. Hopefully this helps bring us together.
