The Family
A few days passed, without me speaking to the Hawks Captain. I was running away from him, and all of the other players. It was hard to do that but I tried my best. At the end of the day, I was sitting all alone outside the dressing room, waiting for practice to end. Of course, I was hoping Coach would make it last longer. I picked '50 Shades Of Grey' out of my bag to distract my mind. I skipped the boring chapters, and began to read a sex scene.
"Hey, what are you reading?" Someone asked, heading for the locker room.
I raised my head to see Kane laughing at me. I quickly put my book in to the bag.
"Its none of your business." I glared at him.
He sat next to me and put his arm around my shoulder.
"I want to thank you for kicking our captain's ass." He winked.
How did he know? I know Jonathan had a black eye, but he had told them that it was a bar fight.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"First of all, if it was a fight it would be much worse, and you are completely ignoring him. It's really easy to understand you hate him and you aren't having sex with him lately." He said.
"What?? I didn't have sex with him! What are talking about?" I tried my best to look surprised.
How did he know? I knew Jon and him were close, but he had promised not tell anyone.
"How do you know the address for Jonathan's apartment?"
Shit. I was so angry at Viktor that night, I had never thought of it.
"Don't tell anyone please." I said.
I worked really hard for this job and I was going to lose it because of an arrogant captain.
"Don't worry Mel, of course I'm not going to tell anyone. But I'm always here if you want to talk. You seem really depressed recently." He said, hugging me.
I smiled, feeling more comfortable. It was nice to know that there was someone to talk to.
"Umm, Mel and Patrick? Coach is going to make an announcement, and they want all the team and staff at the conference room." Said Mike, the assistant coach.
He was looking at us awkwardly.
"Oh, OK Mike. We're coming." Patrick said, helping me up.

"So, you all know we have 5 games left untill the playoffs." Coach Q began. "We should always enter the ice, expecting to win two points, but as we grow closer to the playoffs, we need every one of you even more focused."
Viktor poked me.
"What?" I whispered to him, but then I noticed whole crew was looking at me.
"Coach Q asked about the injuries, you didn't hear him? You were day dreaming about me, right babe?" Said Viktor.
I know I was getting redder every minute. I hoped no one noticed I was dreaming about Toews' ass.
"Leave her alone, Viktor. She is too smart to go for a hockey player." Duncan Keith smiled after his lovely comment.
He was my favourite player on the team. He would always support me.
I laughed and stared at Jon, before continuing to the injury report. Maybe I was dreaming, but I think I saw him looking upset.
"Coach, Sharp is getting better, but I don't want to rush the recovery. I think we should let him heal better if you want him at his best in the playoffs." I said, thinking hard. "But, its up to you of course. And Emery's injury isn't serious, he should be ready for the playoffs too."
"Thanks Mel. Well, I think I agree with you. We'll wait until the playoffs for Sharp. And about Shaw?"
I laughed. Bickell hit a puck straight to Shaw's face last night. It was really funny actually.
"6 stitches, nothing important. Sorry. It's really getting funnier when you think about it." I laughed, as Andrew glared at Bickell.
"Man, you ruined my beautiful face." He joked, and everyone started to laugh.
It was really nice to be a part of team like that. We were like a family. A family I hate sometimes, but they were like home. Except for Jon. He was a hot shot, that I wanted to bang all the time.
