Pizzas To Feel Better
I was at my hotel room trying to think straight. It was 2 o'clock in the morning. After Corey's kiss I just ran away from there to the hotel cause I know If I stayed there I would do something bad I will regret later.
I picked up the phone and ordered some pizzas and milkshake. When you're staying in a hotel with a hockey its always meal time. I know people lose weight when they're depressed. But sadly I just eat more than ever.
There was a knock on the door, I jumped of my bed for the room service. But I wasn't so excited when I saw who was knocking.
It was Corey.
"I just wanted to say sorry, I shouldn't have kissed you."
He wasn't making any eye contact with me.
I didn't know what to say. I never was one of those girls who had many boy problems. I was always concerned about classes, grades and my family back at home.
"It's ok Corey, I just have some issues with my Dad and because of work I can't go to Switzerland."
My dad hates NHL players as a player who played in Swiss league for 25 years. But he didn't stop supporting me since the day I got this job.
"I'm really sorry Mel but you're the strongest woman I know. And he must be proud to have a daughter like you."
Corey came closer and hugged me. Maybe my dad wasn't the problem but this hug made me feel better.
"And the team loves you too, actually they send me to see if you're ok. Especially John was really worried about you."
Shit. Suddenly my heart stopped. Even hearing his name was making my whole body shudder.
"Wait what did you tell him?"
I was silently praying Corey didn't tell about the kiss.
"Relax I didn't tell anything, I just told them we talked and you left cause you weren't feeling good."
He smiled and leaned to kiss me.
"Room Service"
Both of us jumped when we heard hotel personal knocked the door.
"Dinner time." I yelled and ran to opened the door.
"Maybe I should leave you alone with your pizza." Said Corey.
He was the sweetest guy in the world but he wasn't the one who can stop my heart or effect my brain functions.
"See you tomorrow." I smiled politely.

Someone knocked my door again. What a busy night, I thought.
It was Pat.
I opened the door and he stormed in. It was scary, he always was relaxed. Mature Patrick Kane was back.
"What the fuck are you doing?"
"What are you talking about?"
I was shocked. Did he know about the kiss?
"You can't just run away when Johnny doesn't remember which college you went. You have to show him you're strong. Plus now he can't sleep cause he can't stop thinking about Corey and you. He has a match tomorrow and you have players to care of."
"I know but I just can't.."
"No stop talking you can't do it. You can and you know it. Just stop thinking about John and focus on your job. This relationship or whatever it is, affecting both of you."
He was right but forgetting John wasn't easy. It was really hurting both physically and mental.
"I know Mel just stay focused on your job and eat pizza." He smiled and hugged me.
It wasn't like Corey's. It was like hugging a big brother. And it felt like home.
It was going to be hard but I had to stop having any relationship with any of Blackhawks' player.
