Tyler Seguin (1)
Today was the day you were finally going to learn how to skate. Or, at least, try. Tyler was going to attempt to teach you.
You didn’t have your own pair of skates, at least not yet. That was another thing Tyler was supposed to do today before he picked you up. He had to find a pair of skates that actually fit.
He arrived at noon, two pairs of skates slung over his shoulders. “Ready?” he asked, and you grinned, nodding.
He took you to the American Airlines Center, his home arena. You were the first ones there, so the ice was fresh and the building was quiet, but you guessed that would change soon, especially if this was a family skate for the Stars.
He led you to his home bench, quickly tying up his skates before sliding yours on. Somehow, they fit perfectly.
You stood up, taking a few tentative steps. When you were confident you could at least stand up, you hugged him. “Thank you, Tyler!”
He grinned, taking your hand. Before you stepped on the ice, though, you wobbled, falling backwards. Tyler was right there to catch you. “Whoa, that was close!”
"Just hold on to me and you’ll be fine," Tyler assured you, holding you up as he stepped onto the ice first.
"What if I actually do fall?"
Tyler smiled warmly. “I’ll be right here to catch you.”
