Growing Up Staal
Being asked to prom
classes are easy and you get to look forward to senior prom.
Despite what happened over the summer, Marc and I never really talked about the kiss but we were as close as we were before it happened, even though Eric sometimes did bring it up but the good thing about Eric was he never told a soul about that kiss.
When it came to the time prom rolled around, I swear everyone of my friends were getting asked except me. One day at lunch I was sitting with Marc and some of my friends and some lucky girl got asked in the cafeteria.
“I’m so tired of all these promposals happening!”
I folded my arms across my chest and glared at the girl holding the flowers talking excitedly with her friends.
“Sam you’re just jealous that noone has asked you yet.”
My not so bright friend Ana stated.
“Hell yeah I am! Well… I’m going to go grab a apple. Be right back.”
I made my way over to the salad bar and grabbed the best looking apple they had. I kept asking myself why I wasn’t being asked to prom like the other girls. I turned the apple in my hand then took a bite out of it and then turned around. There with a big “Prom?” sign and flowers looking directly at me was Danny Young.
“Will you go to prom with me Sam?”
I just shook my head yes and gave him a hug. Danny had been my only close guy friend outside of the staal brothers, but we didn’t spend as much time together as Marc and I did. I walked back to my friends with a huge smile on my face while I held the flowers.
“Look you actually got asked.”
Ana said with a grin on her face. I just smiled and sat back down next to Marc who for some reason didn’t look to happy about the promposal that happened to me. Despite me being friends with Danny for some reason Marc never wanted anything to do with him.
