Five Minutes For Fighting (Completed)

Caroline threw all her stuff into her duffel bag after she took a long hot shower, feeling clean for the first time in two days. She slipped on a pair of black leggings, her Nike Red and Blue Nike Shox and a sports bra. "Stu do I wear my Del Zotto Shersey or like a Thomas shersey?" She said from inside their walk in closet. "We have too many Reebok New York Rangers/Sherseys to last a lifetime. Including sweatshirts." Stu yelled from their bathroom. "FINE." She grabbed a vineyard vines tank top throwing it on and grabbing her White, with blue stripes and red accents Shep Shirts. She lived in Vineyard Vines when she wasn't wearing New York Rangers gear. "Look at that you look like a normal teenage girl." She laughed. "When does School start?" He said as he grabbed his duffel, they looked like they were twinning with him in black Nike shorts and a striped Navy Shep Shirt. "Well it's August 15th, and after Labor Day so the 6th?" She didn't want to think about school. Her principal made her parents a deal, she come in when she doesn't have Games, and afternoon practices when she can and a tutor can come on the road with her, and she can hand in her assignments from her teachers a little late. She shook off his "Fun" response and texted Michael. "Did Coach Torts or Sully eat you guys alive yet?" She said smirking.

A couple hours later she let Stu drive her Range Rover as they did the two hour long drive to Hartford. She looked out the window, her earphones in her ears as she listened to Mr Brightside by the killers, at the beginning of the summer Jordan Staal made it the song of the summer and it was embossed into her brain, she couldn't get it out of her head. She wished she was back in Thunder Bay, in her Krass and Co Athletic shirts, and Vineyard Vines maxi dresses, on the lake with a beer in hand chilling as Levi and Parker Staal ran around laughing. She loved their laughs. "You miss home." Stu said pulling an earphone out. "What? This is my home..." She said putting the earbud back in her ear. Stu pulling it out once again. "Yes this is your home, but you miss Thunder Bay and you miss Minny just as much as I do, this summer was fantastic our best yet but we have to move on, there's always next summer it always appears." Stu was right she missed the sun, the lake, the speed boats, the friends, the training. Playing Hockey in the front driveway until 3 in the mornings. Drafting players from their friends. Days with the cup when her brother won with Chicago. Now she was having summer withdrawal. Back to CT which she left three months prior.

After a grueling practice Stu and Caroline were on their way back from Hartford.

Her phone buzzed as she picked it up to see what it was. "Michael Del Hotto, Text Message." She opened it. "I have a love/hate relationship with torts, he made a hilarious joke about us today being the golden couple of the Rangers and then he made us do Herbies it was out of Miracle. And Drury finally said Chris Drury, Trumbull, CT Boston you, who do you play for? The fucking rangers." She laughed. "Be home soon <3" She was going on a date with Michael Del Hotto, she laughed Zotto. She needed Stu to speed.
