Five Minutes For Fighting (Completed)

Caroline sat on the Rangers bench at Yankee Stadium as Patrick Elias tried to chirp her unsuccessfully. "SHUT UP ELIAS, nobody cares." She murmured but that didn't stop him. "Your fiance is the worst defenseman of all time." Patrick said as she stood up. Nobody talked about Michael, without getting to her. "And your so great? YOUR ON THE FUCKING DEVILS." She said as the team hooted and hollered. "Your already out of the playoffs!" She said putting another dagger into him. The teams were tied 3-3 and they had a power play, she had to concentrate. "Zucc if you go up the left lane and your at that point and I am like around the circle I can probably shoot it top shelf so just cycle over there and get it to me." She said showing him what she was talking about. "Yeah that's not a bad idea." He said to her as they waited for their opportunity to get out there. "ZUCC, STEPS, C THOMAS, STAAL, RICHIE OUT THERE NOW." Scott Arniel the Rangers assistant coach yelled as they waited for Brendan's power play unit which included Mac, G, himself, Hags and Boyler. "Wow it's a zoo out there." Cam Talbot said as everyone kept trying to keep the puck on their sticks, the wind not helping anything. Especially the snow.

"RICHIE." Caroline yelled from the point, the guys had cycled the puck and now she was at the point while Mats was in traffic. "YEAH. HERE" Brad yelled, the wind not letting them here each other peacefully. He passed her the puck as she passed it back to him only to have him pass it back to her. "Here goes nothing." She said looking over at her family and Michael in the stands. She passed it back to brad who passed it to Step who passed it back to the point to her. "Here we go." She said as she winded it up and shot the puck off of Ryan Clowe's stick and top shelf into the net. "AHHHHHHHHHHH." She said falling to her knees as everyone came skating up to her. "YEAH CARE." Derek said as he hugged her so tight her knees were buckling under her. "WE'RE UP BOYS!" Brad said kissing her helmet as they skated over to their excited bench as they high fived their teammates. Her brother kissing her helmet. She was riding high.

A couple hours later she was in bed still freezing from the game. "I think my face is falling off." She said bundled up in Nike sweatpants, socks, a Nashville sweatshirt and a scarf. "That's not possible." Michael said coming in with a bowl of soup, a thousand crackers in it like she liked it. "Yeah it's not falling off, it's kind of beautiful." Michael said handing it over to her as she sipped some of it, paradise. "Stop I am a mess and I feel a cold coming on." She said as he got into bed with her. "You always feel a cold coming on." He said laughing at her in the crazy ensemble she had made. "Guys can I cuddle with you?" Carl Hagelin said in an equally crazy outfit as Caroline. They both laughed. "Come here baby." She said. Carl was so their child, and they were both younger then him. He laid down in the middle of them as he had a sip of her soup. "I missed you." Carl said slapping Michael in the face. "I missed you too bro." Michael said as he flipped on NHL Network.

"It was a crazy day at Yankee Stadium as the Rangers won the game 7-3 Caroline Thomas scoring the tying goal and the Penalty shot. She is getting unreal game after game. Her fiance Michael Del Zotto got traded a couple days ago to the Predators for Kevin Klein, they are getting married in June. In other news the Rangers will play the Blue Jackets on Monday and then on Wednesday will come back to Yankee Stadium to play the Islanders. Caroline will be surrounded by family the next couple days." Kathryn Tappen said as she rolled her eyes. She didn't want to touch Yankee Stadium with a stick. "When you going back?" Carl said looking at Mike. "Right after the CBJ game, and then I'll try to make it back for the Islander game." Carl nodded. "I'll go see if there is anymore soup for you bro." Michael said getting up and going into the kitchen. "He'll be back here in no time Care. Sather will make it right." Hags said as he stole Mike's pillow. "Yeah right." She knew Michael would never wear a Rangers jersey again, but she couldn't think about it.
