Marcus Thomas stood in the kitchen watching his daughter, and the kid who was practically a Thomas sleeping, snuggling with each outside on a pool lounger. During his Hockey days he barely ever took any penalties but right now he wanted to drop the gloves with Michael Del Zotto. "It's our fault for having him around here all these years." He said taking a bite from the hot dogs Brendan had cooked on the grill earlier that day. "Oh stop I think they are adorable, and you know this boy like the back of your hand. We've seen him grow up, we were at his draft day supporting him, we love him, and we should be lucky they are together then Caroline being with that Gudbranson boy she was parading with the summer after last." Cari said smiling as she saw Michael and Caroline, she remembered Marcus and her at that age so in love with each other. "And at least they aren't young and in love all by themselves with no family in Edmonton.They have us in New York and here to support them."

Marcus was drafted by Edmonton, and the only way to ever be with him was to move to Edmonton with him. Then they got married, then they had Brady and Brendan then they got traded to the Penguins for one season and had Tucker then got traded for good to New York and had Caroline. "You may be right about that, I read this morning that Erik is projected to get drafted in the first round, so that maybe awkward for Care, when we go to the draft." Marcus was one of the heads of Prospect Development with Adam Graves positions that the two of them took seriously, going to every draft making sure the players the Rangers draft feel comfortable, and make a good transition into the pro's. "Does he still have those tattoos?" Cari said filling the beverage fridge in the island with Diet Pepsi's. "Yes even more." Cari laughed. "Well you should thank god the only thing on Michael's body is that terrible scar." Cari shivered.

A couple months ago during the season Michael collided with Evgeni Malkin during a Pittsburgh Penguins game in the corner, as they fell together, Malkin's skate cut Michael on his left side, which required 50 stitches and a lot of pain and crying from both Michael and Caroline. "That's what hockey players go through, it cemented that he is one, its a battle scar." Marcus looked back outside, the two lovebirds had woken up, and were laughing at the mini Staal's who were having a swim lesson with Taylor Pyatt. "Fine I love MDZ, but I am worried about them their just kids." He said as he opened the screen door and his daughter jumped into his arms. She will always be his little girl. The only daughter in the clan. "So whose ready for Minnesota?" Marcus said as Parker and Levi came out of the pool shaking the water off them like wet dogs. "We are." They all shouted in unison. Minnesota+20 of them + hastings + her Minnesota friends+ Her thunder bay friends = Drama. This should be fun.
