Girlfriend!
When we arrived at the airport to all of the guys, some more awake than others, Max instantly noticed, “I smell Tim’s!” we just looked at each other and laughed. “Yeah, I picked Brittany up this morning and she made me a coffee.” “Remind me to stock up next time we go to Canada.” “That’s what I do.” Every Canadian there had said. We sat and waited in our room. I was feeling slight sluggish and decided to lay my head down on Sidney’s lap.
I was woken up to a camera going off, then hearing Max say, “geez, you’d think they spent the night together or something.” “You got that wrong,” Sidney groaned, stretching. “Then why are you both so tired?” “I had a late night trying to edit a video.” I yawned. “I just couldn’t sleep.” “Sure! If that’s what you wanna tell us.” Max laughed, walking away. “Have a nice nap?” he asked me. “Yeah. You?” “It wasn’t long enough.” He chuckled.
The plane ride couldn’t have gone by longer. When we finally reached Los Angeles all everyone wanted to do was sleep. But of course, I slept on the plane (I always do) and am now wired. I decided to go on webcam with my best friend Megan. “Oh my God your alive! The team hasn’t killed you with their smell yet?” “No. I haven’t seen you in so long! I miss you! How’s life?” “Same old, same old. Sucks being in Toronto. How’s Pittsburgh?” “Great! I love it there!” “Where are you now then?” “LA. The boys are playing tomorrow afternoon.” “Speaking of which, I’ve seen you on YouTube missy! Great work!” “Thanks!” “Looks like you and Crosby are getting along well,” “Yeah.. we are..” “Oh my God! I know that face! AH!” “I know!!!!” I squealed like a little girl!
“Is it official?” “No. Not yet. But we’re getting there, I know it!” “That’s so exciting! When you guys come to Toronto are you gonna introduce me to him?” “Duh! And I’ll hook you up with Staal,” “You know me too well.” “We’re best friends for a reason!” “So when do you come home?” “Uh, three weeks.” “Can’t wait!” there was a sudden knock on the door. “Ah crap, Meggers I gotta go. I’ll talk to you later ok?” “Yup! Love you girl!” “Love you too!” I walked over and saw Sidney at the door. “Hey, you wanna go for a walk?” “Sure.” I grabbed my coat and off we went.
We walked through a nice part of town and then into a forest area. We stopped at a nice bench spot overlooking LA and the gorgeous sunset. “So I wanted to bring you on this walk because I want to talk to you about something.” “Oh?” “I just wanted to say that I enjoy spending time with you and that I have loved getting to know you more than I already do. I also wanted to say that I really do care about you and that even though it’s only been a short time, I was wondering if you wanna be my girlfriend?” Are you for real?! “Yes, I’d love to.” I smiled, blushing like crazy, then going in for the kiss. I’m Sidney Crosby’s girlfriend!
