Baggage Claim

Brooke waited at the baggage claim for her bags to come off the plane so she could just head to her hotel and sleep. The only thing she wasn’t rushing to do was going to meet the person her mother had insisted on picking her up. As the bags started to fill onto the conveyor belt, Brooke spotted her first bag and hauled it off, placing it next to her carryon bag. She felt her phone vibrating in the back pocket of her jeans, figuring that it was him, but decided to not pay any attention to it while she looked for her second bag. After a couple more bags came riding around she spotted hers and grabbed it as it came closer to her. Brooke gathered all of her stuff together and pulled out her phone to see that he was in fact the one who had texted her and she let him know she was heading towards him. ‘K’ was all she got as a response and Brooke rolled her eyes. “Awesome” Brooke muttered as she slid her phone back into her pocket and headed towards the doors.

Once out in the terminal there were hundreds of people standing waiting for their loved ones and friends to emerge from behind the doors and Brooke groaned knowing it was going to be rather difficult to try and find him. She walked in a direction she was hoping he would be, looking around for a curly head of brown hair hidden under a baseball cap. Once she spotted him her breath caught a little. He had cut his hair since the last time she had seen him because there wasn’t the usual curls poking out of the side of his hat. She also noticed that he had gotten bigger since their last encounter and she wasn’t going to lie, he looked good, really good. He looked up from his phone as she got closer to him and turned towards her noticing she had found him. “Hey Brooke.”

“Hey Sid.”

Notes

This chapter is super short but they will get longer I promise.
I don't know everything and everything so If i get things messed up in future chapters (i.e. medical school, medical terms, actual facts about sids life) I am soooo soooo sorry. I will try my absolute hardest to make sure every detail is correct.

But with that being said I hope that you enjoy the story as much as I enjoy writing it.
