Endless Possibilities

“Sid, you forget something.” Geno’s thick Russian accent cleared the locker room as he bounded towards his teammate. Sid racked his brain as to what he could’ve possibly forgotten; he knew he had all of his gear. He shot Geno a confused look, noticing his hands were behind his back.

“For date today,” Geno grinned handing over a plush toy, Iceburgh, the Penguins’ mascot. Sid laughed and accepted the stuffed animal, remembering he had told Geno all about his plans for lunch during practice.

“Aw thanks man, you shouldn’t have!” Sid placed it in his bag and zippered it shut. He secretly wondered why Geno was still at the rink.

“Girls can’t resist Penguin.Work every time,” Geno winked and walked out of the locker room.

Sid shook his head and slung his bag over his shoulder. Geno could be the most random person in the world, but he was always thinking. He was glad he told only the Russian bear about his date with Ava. Evgeni had always been a good listener, whether it was related to hockey or girls.

Sid climbed into his Range Rover with a burning pain in his quads. He always enjoyed the feeling of being sore because it signified a good workout had been put in. With a deep breath he started the engine and began his way over to Ava’s. Her appearance danced in his mind as the drive progressed. Her wide brown eyes, her voluptuous lips, and that beauty mark, it drove him crazy. His groin ached and he shifted in his seat. He couldn’t wait to see what she was wearing. She had looked so nice the night before.
