James, Melody, and Deter get to their new house in Nashville. Melody smiles when she walks in the door when she sees the inside of the house.

Melody - This house is just beautiful.
James - Only the best for you baby.
Melody - Why don’t we go get Deter’s stuff and set up his nursery? He must be tired.
James - I was thinking the same thing.
Melody - Lets go before it gets dark.

James and Melody go out to the moving truck and start bringing things in. They go upstairs and go into the bedroom that is across from what will be James and Melody’s bedroom. They start unpacking and start setting up Deter’s nursery so that he can go to bed. They spend an hour setting up the nursery. They get done and James goes downstairs to get Deter. He picks him up and carries him upstairs. James sits in the rocking chair with Deter, feeds him a bottle, and rocks him until he falls asleep. James puts Deter in the crib and kisses him on the forehead. He smiles and tells Deter how much he loves him even if he isn’t his real son. When Melody hears James tell Deter that he loves him she smiles and starts to cry. James sees her crying and comes over to her and wraps his arms around her holding her close.

James - Hey, what’s wrong honey?
Melody - Just hearing you say that you love Deter got to me a little.
James - I do love him even if he’s not my real son.
Melody - I know you do and it really means a lot to hear you say it to him.
James - Just like I love you baby.
Melody - Aww, I love you too.
James - Lets go unpack the blow up bed since you look too tired to set up our bedroom.
Melody - Sounds good to me.

James turns off the lights leaving just the soft glow of the nightlight on. He and Melody go downstairs to find the container that has the blow up bed. Melody finds it and takes it and goes back upstairs to start blowing it up. James goes outside to put a lock on the moving truck so no one decides to steal their stuff during the night. He goes back inside and locks the front door. He goes to make sure the backdoor is locked. He turns off the lights and goes upstairs to join Melody. When he goes into their bedroom he sees that Melody has blown up the bed and put sheets, comforter, and her leopard print blanket on the bed. He goes into the bathroom and wraps his arms around Melody.

James - Come to bed honey.
Melody - I’ll be right there.

James leaves the bathroom and gets ready for bed. By the time Melody comes to bed James is already in bed and asleep. She lays down beside James and wraps her arms around him. She is asleep a short time later until the next morning. James wakes up and sees that it’s already 10. He turns over so now that he’s facing Melody. He gives her a kiss when she wakes up.

James - I love you.
Melody - I love you too James.
James - I guess we slept in a little.
Melody - Why? What time is it?
James - Almost 10:30
Melody - (Laughs) Wow, I guess we did sleep in.
James - It was nice though. Been awhile since we just cuddled as we slept.
Melody - I know and it was nice.
James - Why don’t we go down stairs and have something quick to eat?
Melody - I know just the thing.

Melody goes down stairs to make them something quick to eat. James lays on the bed for a few minutes and begins to think how wonderful is life is even though he was traded a few weeks ago. He goes down stairs and finds Melody in the kitchen. He smiles as he sneaks up behind her and wraps his arms around her. He nuzzles and kisses her neck.

James - What are you making babe?
Melody - It’s an orange and berry breakfast smoothie. Here tell me how it tastes. (Hands James a glass of smoothie)
James - That tastes really good. When did you get into making smoothies?
Melody - It was something a friend of mine on Facebook told me to try and eat while I was pregnant. I can at least eat these without feeling sick from the morning sickness. Plus they’re healthy and good for baby.
James - Well you can make me one anytime I feel hungry.
Melody - Aww, I’d be glad to.
James - Why don’t we start unpacking and start making this place feel like our home?
Melody - (Smiles) Yes we should.

James and Melody finish their smoothies. They spend most of the day bringing in the things from the moving truck. Over the next few weeks they start making their new house feel like home. It’s now the end of July and James is at Bridgestone Arena. The Predators have decided to officially introduce James as a member of the team at a press conference. James is there for a couple hours. He thanks everyone for being so welcoming. He goes home. He spends the next month getting ready for the season. It’s now September and also James’s birthday.
