Chapter 4 - Finally in Pittsburgh
Melody is making the long drive from Raleigh to Pittsburgh. She finally gets to Pittsburgh and heads to James’s house. She rings the doorbell. James answers the door and smiles when he sees Melody. He gives her a big hug and they begin to kiss.
Melody - It’s so good to see you.
James - I’ve really missed you.
Melody - I’ve missed you too.
James - Come on babe come in out of the cold.
Melody - Your house is beautiful.
James - It’s your house now too babe.
Melody - Will you help me carry in my stuff later?
James - Sure honey. I was just making something to eat. Are you hungry at all?
Melody - Yes I am.
James leads Melody to the kitchen. He grabs a couple of plates and dishes up some food for them. He brings the plates and silverware over to the kitchen table and sits down across from Melody. As they’re eating James takes a hold of Melody’s hand and smiles.
James - I love you so much.
Melody - I love you too James.
James - It’s so nice having you here.
Melody - I’m happy to get out of Raleigh and to be with you.
James - How have you been feeling?
Melody - I’m really tired.
James - Then lets go cuddle on my couch for a little while.
Melody - That sounds fine.
They finish eating. James cleans up the table. He takes Melody into the living room. He lays down on the couch and pulls Melody onto the couch beside him. Melody lays her head on James’s chest and sighs. James smiles and wraps his arm around Melody.
James - I love you Mel.
Melody - I love you too.
James - Feels nice getting to hold you in my arms again.
Melody - Feels nice being held by you right now.
James - You think we’re in love right?
Melody - I think we are.
James - You ok honey?
Melody - I’m just really tired and I’m cold.
James - I’ll bring your stuff in and then take you to bed.
Melody - Ok
Melody gives James the keys to her car. He goes out and brings in Melody’s things and puts the boxes in his bedroom. He goes back out and locks Melody’s car. He comes back inside and locks the front door. He goes into the living room and sees Melody has fallen asleep. He goes over to the couch, picks her up, and carries her to his bedroom. He lays her down on the bed. He lays down beside her and wraps his arms around her. He’s asleep a short time later until the next morning. Melody wakes up and sees that James has left for the morning. She lays in bed and begins to think how wonderful her life is now being with James. Her cell phone then rings.
Leslie - Aww, someone sounds happy.
Melody - It was so nice sleeping with James last night.
Leslie - Aww, were you two cuddling?
Melody - Yes we were and it was so wonderful to be in his arms again.
Leslie - How’s he dealing with you being pregnant?
Melody - He wants to be a father to my son when he’s born.
Leslie - Oh wow he must really love you.
Melody - I wish you could have seen the smile on his when he felt my little boy kicking.
Leslie - Aww, he must think that James is his daddy.
Melody - He’s being more of father to my unborn son then my ex ever will be.
Leslie - Have you thought of name for your little boy?
Melody - I want to name him after James.
Leslie - Aww, James would like that idea.
Melody - I’m going to mention it to him when he comes home from practice.
Leslie - Aww, you two must be so happy that you’re living together now.
Melody - We are very happy and it’s going to be wonderful getting to be together all the time now.
Leslie - Aww, I’m sure it will be. I’m going to let you go so you can rest. You sound tired hon.
Melody - I’ll call you later.
Leslie - Ok
The girls hang up. Melody goes out to the kitchen to fix herself something to eat. She finishes eating and then goes into the living room and lays down on the couch. She falls asleep a short time later. A little while later James comes home from practice. He sees Melody sound asleep on the couch. He goes over and picks her up. He carries her into the bedroom and lays her down on the bed. He lays down beside her and wraps his arms around her so that they’re spooning with one another. He falls asleep a short time later until later that night. A month passes and it’s now Valentines Day.
Melody - It’s so good to see you.
James - I’ve really missed you.
Melody - I’ve missed you too.
