James P.O.V
After hearing that Wrenn's dad was dead all I could think that Wade is the only family that she has left. We were in the car, quiet and didn't know when either of us would speak or not.
"I'm sorry James. I thought that talking and showing him what's going on maybe he would change his mind."
"All that I care that you’re safe with me. You did scare me that you took off and didn't tell me the truth, that's all." I grab her hand and showing her that she cares for me than anyone. Once we got to the airport Wrenn fell asleep. I was wondering how am I going to tell her about her dad. I know that Wade doesn't want me to tell her but she needs to know that he died of something he did, not her. When we got back to our place I see that Wade was there. When we got in Wade hug her and Wrenn was staring to cry.
"I went and saw dad."
"I know, James told me." Wrenn turn around and I could see how pissed that I told Wade.
"I had to call him to know where you were. So he help me."
"Did he tell you that I went and saw mom?"

"Yeah I told him the address of where she was at. I thought that you need to see her before you come back here.” I see beside Wade that he still hasn't unpacked.

"How long are you staying?" I ask Wade.
"I'm leaving tonight but I am taking Wrenn with me."
"No your not! She needs to be here with me and what about her doctor." I grab Wrenn and pulled her into me.
"I talk to her doctor and she will be fine with me. Beside I think she needs to get away from Denver, Pittsburgh, the team and you for a while." Wade come closer to me and places his hand on Wrenn's shoulder.
"She needs to be with family right now."
"The Penguins are her family. Don't take her away from me."
"James." Wrenn now speaking.
"Maybe I do need to go with Wade just for a couple of weeks. I need to think and get everything back to normal." She back out of my reach and walk over to Wade. My heart sinks a little.
"You guys are going to the play the Ranger soon and I will cheer you on, please James does this for me. If you love me than let me go to New York for a couple of weeks. When I get back I think everything will go back to normal." I was so pissed right now that I don't know what the next thing that came out of my mouth.
"Your dad died!" My heart stop and eyes grew big when I said that. The look on Wade facing looks like he was going to kill me right there and then.
"Wait, what?" Wrenn now all confused.
"After we left and went to see your mom Wade called me and told me that your dad got into a fight and died. He told me not to tell you because you will think that it was your fault.” I couldn’t stop the words coming out of my mouth.
"Wrenn this is not your fault. It was your dad's and that the fact he would take his time to get into a fight is fuck up. Wade didn't want me to tell you but you need to know. I love you and I don't want you to get hurt."
"I am hurt from the both of you. That you would do this to me. I am not going to New York and I am not staying here." Wrenn grab her bag and went into her car.
"I will be back after the weekend, don't even brother calling me because I won't be answering my phone." She slams her car door and took off. In the corner of my eye I see Wade's fist came into view.
"What the fuck was that?! I told you not to tell her and what did you do?!"
"She needed to know and I didn't want her to go to New York with you. This is all about her and your making this all about you."
"No I am doing this because of family. I thought that if I take her away from this."
"From this? I gave her more than what other people have given her."

"I wanted to hear her side of the story from all of this. I though maybe if she was in New York then she could think if she wants to stay in New York." Then it hit me.

"You don't want Wrenn to be with me. Why?"

"James I think your a great guy but I think that she should be with me in New York at this time with everything that's going on here. She needs to be with family."

"I am her family and the Penguins are too. Right now this is Wrenn's choice of where he wants be here or New York. Let's give her that weekend and choose to be with me or you. I need you to leave or I will kick your ass." Wade did what I told him to do and leave. No where did Wrenn go?

Wrenn P.O.V

I didn't where I was going. So then I though I should go to the Kunitz and see if I could stay there for the weekend. I knock on the door and it was Maureen open the door.

"Hey Wrenn, how are you?"

"Not so great, I got into an argument with Wade and James. I though maybe I could crash here for just the weekend."

"Yeah sure you are welcome here anytime."

"Thanks Maureen." We walk into the living room and Chris was playing with his kids.

"Hey Chris."

"Oh hey Wrenn."

"Here let me show you where you can put your things."

"Thanks and I can watch Zach, Peyton and Aubrey for you if you want a date night with Chris anytime."

"Your family now so you don't have to worry about anything." She showed my the guest room and it has it's own bathroom."

"I'll be down in a minute."

"No problem take all the time you need." She turn around and headed back into the kitchen. When I place my suite case down on the bed I check if Wade or James has even tried to do anything. My phone didn't show anything at all. I change into new soft clothes and headed back to the kitchen.

"So what's going on with Wrenn?" I hear Chris asking.

"Wrenn, Wade and James got into an argument and she needed a place for her to get some space between them." I walk in and I see that they were going to have dinner.

"Oh I can go back to my room."

"No you should have dinner with us." Chris came over and gave me a hug. It was nice having dinner to a family that loves each other. It's been a while since I have seen that. After dinner I helped clean up and headed to my room. After a hot shower and now in bed just looking at my phone. Now what should I do now. I have less that 48 hours to think of what I should do. There was a knock on the door. When I open the door it was Maureen. She had two mugs in her hands.

"I though maybe you need some girl talk." She handed me one of the mugs and sat on the bed."

"So what's going on with you, James and Wade?" I told her that I went to see my dad and found out when James got me back that he got killed after a fight. That Wade wanted to take me back to New York with him because he thinks that it's not safe to be here with James. James wants me here.
"I don't know if I want to be in New York or here. I don't want to leave but then I don't want to be with James or Wade. James told me that Wade didn't want me to hear about what happen to my dad. James told me because he didn't want me to go to New York."

"This all happen in one day?"

"Yep."

"Wow Wrenn I'm sorry for what happen but to me I think you should do stay here and get a place of your own."

"What do you mean?"

"You and James had a fast start. Living together before dating never ended well. I mean looked at Ronnie and Sammy from Jersey Shore.” I had to laugh at that a mother with three kids had time to watch Jersey Shore.

“Well it’s better than soap opera.” They both laugh at that.

"I don't know where to go and I don't think I have any money for rent and all of my furniture is at James."

"Then you can live with us then. Both Chris and I parents don't come that often. This might help with everything, but you don't have to make this choice right now. You still have time."

"Thanks Maureen, I will think about it. I'm very tried from the flight, can I see you in the morning."

"Sure I’m making a huge breakfast in the morning so."

After two days being at the Kunitz family I think it's wise that I stay with them. They help me out with everything. Maureen took me to the doctors and told them that I was staying in Pitt and not New York. After my doctor visited then I had to go back to James' place to get thing that I need. When Maureen and I walk into the kitchen it was a total mess.

"For being 48 hours he sure can make a mess." Then we heard the bedroom door open and James look like he just woke up.

"Can we talk?" I ask him. He nodded his head.

"I'll go outside for you two." Maureen walk in the back porch. After the door was shut it just become quiet and someone had to break the ice.

"James I am staying." James face shows that he was relive that I was staying.

"But I am moving."

"What?! Where?!"

"I am going to stay with Kunitz till I have a place of my own. James we went into this very fast and I think that this is good for both of us. I am not going to New York but I don't want to live with someone that lie to me."

"I didn't lie to you, I just told Wade that I won't tell you. I didn't know that Wade wanted to take you to New York with him."

"Well, I need time for myself and I think this is a perfect time of the both of us. Now I am here to grab a couple of this I need and I am going back with Maureen. James I'm still here, I will go to the games and cheer you on."

"But I can't hold you when you sleep or hear you sing in the shower. Please don't do this to me."

"It's done I have made up my mind." I walk past James and grab a couple of things.

"So are we taking a break or are you breaking up with me?" James ask.

"James I love you but I think we need a break." I walk over to the back door and told Maureen that I was ready. I walk over to James and kiss him on the cheek for goodbye.
