Audrey pulled into the arena. Dustin had made her take the family minivan so she could drive the guys to the tournament. She was stuck with Ryan, Sonny, Josh, Val, Nick, and Malcolm. Holiday was driving Andre, Jack, and the girls. Danielle had begged Dustin to let her go with Audrey but he turned her down. Dustin took his SUV with the staff. They tried to take as little cars as possible. Nathan was driving Zach, Jo, Curtis, and Mack. Griffin and Sam had Sam Bennett, Aaron, and Michael. Morgan had Mark, Jacob, Tristan, and Seth.

Audrey was the first car to get there. She drove like a maniac so that was probably why. She pulled the car into park and turned it off. The guys started to climb out while she organized her bag. She grabbed everything she needed, unplugged her phone from the car, and hopped out. Griffin turned the corner and wailed on the horn as he drived by. She rolled her eyes. He rolled down the window.

"You're looking a little dolled up for a hockey tournament." He teased.

"I don't want to look like I go to Fairview." She smiled as he drove off.

She continued her walk to the arena. She got inside and went up to the registration desk. The older gentleman smiled at her. She smiled back, pulling out the folder her dad had given her.

"I'm with Fairview. The coach is on his way, I'm his daughter." She explained as she handed it to him.

"Dustin Brown is actually the coach, huh?" The old man chuckled as he wrote something down.

"The entire staff is ex NHL stars." She bragged a bit.

"So we should be expecting big things from Fairview?" He asked as he handed the folder back.

She shrugged. "Depends on how they play today."

She walked to their change room. She sent out a mass text to everyone and dropped down onto the bench in the change room. She was tired and sick of this hockey shit. She read through the list. Northdale caught her eye. That was her old school. The one she went to with Aaron. And Candice and Kaylynn. She pulled out her phone.

"Please tell me you're coming to the tournament." She breathed when Candice picked up.

"Currently driving there. Want something from Tim's?" Candice sang.

"Yes, the same thing I always get, please." Audrey exhaled.

"Okay, Princess."

"Is Brendan on the team?" Audrey took a deep breath.

"Yeah. His last year." Candice frowned.

Audrey let out a growl. “Hopefully he isn’t a dick.”

“Brendan Lemieux, a dick? Never!” Candice mocked.

Audrey rolled her eyes as the change room door opened. "I'll see you in a bit. Text me when you get here." She ended the call.

The guys that had filed in so Audrey got out. She waited near the front. She got update texts from her dad, Holiday, and Nathan. They were all stuck behind some accident. Luckily, they had left extremely early so they had plenty of time before their first game. In the past week, the boys had two games and won both. They were top of the division currently, but it was early in the season.

Something whacked Audrey in the side of the head, pulling her from her thoughts. She looked down and saw a floorball ball resting beside her. She took an angry breath and turned to look at who it was. Some guy in a backwards hat, with a hair style close to a mullet, was staring at her in shock. Someone else picked the ball up and tossed it to the kid. Audrey looked up to Sam. He sat down beside her.

“You have a red mark on your face.” He chuckled.

She shrugged. "It'll brighten up my miserable day at least."

"Oh, c'mon, Auds," He sighed, throwing an arm around her shoulders. She glared at his hand. "You get to watch a bunch of hockey playing boys all day. How can you complain?"

She moved his hand from around her. "People I don't like will be here. People I don't want to deal with." She whined.

"So don't. Let me know and I'll take care of them." He smiled.

A long "woo!" rang through the arena. Audrey and Sam looked over at Nathan walking in. She squeezed her eyes shut before exhaling. She looked at Sam who was shaking his head at Nathan.

"Person number one." She said and pointed.

Sam shook his head with a smile as he stood up. "Take one for the team."

"Oh my god, move!" Candice growled, shoving Nathan. Audrey looked over as her friends came over to her. "I don't know how you handle those kids."

"I don't." Audrey admitted. Kaylynn handed over her beverage. "Thanks."

"You look so sad." Kaylynn frowned.

"I am sad. I don't want to be here." Audrey huffed.

"Talk to us." Candice smiled, guiding her to the bathroom.
