Danielle was more than nervous. She had been actually seeing Michael for three weeks now. They'd hung out everyday, he had gotten her a jersey to wear to the games, and she was liked by his parents. She was happy with him. He was happy with her. She was everything he had thought she would be, and more. He was the same to her. They both knew each other like the back of their hands. They were good together.

They were currently sitting in Michael's room. She was laying on his bed, trying to prepare herself for what she was about to say. He was playing with her hair while he sat up. His mind was somewhere else.

"Can you see me in the show?" He asked.

"Yeah. You'd go early too." She said, rolling onto her stomach.

"I'd rather go later and not play for a team that sucks." He smirked at her.

"A good player doesn't need a team to be good." She teased. "But I seriously need to lay something down."

"How can you lay something down if you're laying down?"

She rolled her eyes and sat up. "We've been talking for quite some time now, right?" She positioned herself cried-crossed in front of him.

"Too long." He grinned, rubbing her thighs.

"Well, I really like you. Like, more than I think I've ever liked anyone or anything and I think we need to make this official." She explained.

"Like a title?" He asked, receiving a nod. He exhaled and pulled his hands away. "Could we maybe talk about this later?"

Dani let out a laugh. "Yeah, sure." She spun to the edge of the bed and stood up. "Let me know when you figure yourself out."

"Dan,"

"It's fine, Michael. Don't worry about it." She forced a smile and left.

Jacob frowned when he opened the door later that night and saw a miserable. He tried to pull her into a hug but she shoved him away. She walked into the kitchen where Mark and Taylor were picking at a bowl of grapes. Taylor furrowed her brows at Danielle. Dani shook her head and sat beside Mark.

"You okay?" Tay asked.

"Don't, please." Dani stopped her. "Where's Jack?"

"He's on his way over." Taylor told her.

"Good, leave us alone." Danielle smiled.

Taylor left the kitchen. Mark sat silently beside Danielle. It was obvious she was upset about something. He didn't know if it was okay for him to ask about it. Danielle dug out her binder and a pen to help Mark with his homework. She looked up and he had a brow cocked at her. She frowned and exhaled sharply.

"Are you gonna talk?" He asked.

"I told Michael that I wanted to be official and he said we could 'talk about it later'." She gave Mark a look.

"Uh oh." She nodded.

The two started to work after that. Mark's grade was higher than his parents expected. He could tell Danielle's head wasn't in it today. He took a deep breath, closing her binder and then his. She frowned and look at him. He opened his arms. She leaned forward, wrapping hers around him. He gave her a hug while she exhaled.

"He'll come around, D." Mark whispered.

"This is stupid. He's stupid." Dani whined.

"Uh, Dan, door." Jack said from the kitchen doorway.

"What?" She questioned as she stood up. She walked into the living room and froze when she saw Michael at the door. "Oh."

"It's later." He spoke, holding flowers in front of him.

She walked over to him. "It is." She took the flowers. "Thank you."

"I'm sorry for being an idiot." He took a deep breath. "I had this whole thing planned out on how to ask you and then you just came out with it and I was embarrassed that I couldn't do that."

She smiled before reaching up to his face. She gave him a peck and pulled back. He smiled down at her.

"So, will you be my girlfriend?" He gave her a toothy grin.

"Of course." She chimed before pulling him in for another kiss.

"Now that everything is good, I still have homework!" Mark yelled.

Danielle rolled her eyes, handing the flowers back to Michael. She walked into the kitchen. Jack and Jacob congratulated Michael. Taylor walked up to him and crossed her arms. He mocked her.

"Be good to her, Dal Colle, or I'll get you Dal Killed." She threatened.

"Of course, Tay." He chuckled.

Danielle finished helping Mark and left with Michael. Jack and Taylor cuddled up on one couch, leaving the other for Mark and Jacob. Halfway through the movie, Mark was passed out. Jacob shook his head at his friend. The movie ended an hour later and Jacob had enough of the day. He stood up and stretched. Taylor watched him.

"I'm heading to bed. Sorry about him." He mumbled as he walked away.

Taylor sighed and sat up.

Jack watched her. "Where are you going?"

"Jacob's upset. I'm gonna go talk to him." She explained, giving Jack a kiss.

Taylor hopped up the stairs. She knocked on Jacob's bedroom door. He mumbled so she assumed he said come in. She walked in, crawling into his bed. She hugged him from behind. He let out a long breath.

"What's wrong?" She frowned.

"It just sucks that she chose him." He muttered. "I've always been here and she's never wanted me."

"It's life, Jacob. It sucks and I feel for you, but shit happens." She rubbed his back. "Dani really likes him.

"I know and I'm happy for her. I'm just having a pity party for myself right now." He chuckled a bit.

"Don't do anything crazy. You'll find the girl for you one day."

"I know. I'm willing to wait." He nodded.

"Good. I love you, Dingus." She hugged him tight.

"I love you too, Tay." He smiled.
