"So when were you going to tell me?" Sam asked.

Kaylynn frowned. "I don't know. I didn't think you'd find out so fast." She admitted.

"Kay, all of your close friends are dating my close friends. Anything you tell them goes to their boyfriends." He explained.

"I know, I just," She sighed. "It happened so fast and you were already so upset about the move and I didn't want to add to it."

"It sucks but I get that Mack was your first love." He breathed. "I'm fine as long as you're happy and in good hands."

"Mack is good hands?" She laughed.

"He cares about you, so yes."

She smiled. "I'm sorry, Sam. I guess Mack and I just couldn't move past each other."

"It's okay, Kay." He assured her. "I have something to tell you."

"Yeah?" She furrowed her brows. "What's up?"

"I was scared to talk to you about it but since you and Mack are back together, I met a girl." He explained.

"What? Tell me about her!" She sat up.

"I don't know. She just, she's so lively and she makes me happy." Sam smiled as he talked about her. "I guess we both ended up happy."

"Yeah, and we're still close." She added.

"Always, Kaylynn." He agreed.

"More exciting news! Falcons made it to the championships!" She told him.

"Yeah? Good job boys!" He cheered. "Give the guys my support. Hope they kill it."

"I will. I miss you, Sam." She frowned. "Cheering for them isn't the same without you flying around the ice."

He chuckled. "I'll be back soon."
