Gongshow

end

Audrey rolled her eyes. "Christian comes down to see you like once a summer. Just go have fun with him. Party it up, hit on some girls, just don't sleep with them." She teased as she packed.

"Hitting on girls isn't fun unless it's your favourite girl." Sam whined.

"Sam, shut up." She shook her head. "I'll make my dad let me come home early so we aren't apart all summer, if you want?"

"You go to LA for three months a year. I'm not going to take that from you." He argued.

"Then maybe I'll fly you out or something. We'll figure it out, Sammy." She assured him.

"I was talking to Chris about how he won't get to meet you and he was like 'so she won't get to C-Nonni?' and I hung up." Sam told her. She burst into laughter. "I knew you'd get a kick out of that."

"One day, I'll meet him. Just not anytime soon." She finished laughing. "I have to finish packing everything by three, so I'll text you when I leave and when I land and every other minute after that, okay?"

"I miss you already." He frowned.

"I miss you too. Get wasted for me." She sang before she hung up.

Every summer, the Browns took a flight to New York for a few days to see their family, before they went to Los Angeles to see their extended family. Almost every LA King still lived in LA. It became your home after being there so long. It was definitely Audrey's home.

Dustin traveling to see his family was what he looked forward to most. He would pay over a hundred thousand dollars to get his family to New York, Los Angeles, and back. He didn't mind. It's the one thing he liked spending his money on. The look on his loved ones faces were enough for him.

Audrey was home alone while her parents were out with the younger kids, making sure they had what they needed to take care of them for the first bit of their travels. Audrey had spent every possible minute with her friends and boyfriend, but she promised to devote her final day home to packing.

She overpacked. She always did. Her dad had begged her not to. But of course, she had. She paused her packing when she saw movement outside. She looked out her window to see Griffin in Sam's window with Christian. She opened her window with a smile, even though she looked like crap.

"Almost done packing?" Griffin called.

She nodded. "Literally and mentally."

Griff laughed. "This is Christian!"

"Hi, Christian!" She waved.

"Just as hot as you look in Samson's pictures." Christian complimented.

"Where is Samson?" She asked.

"Moping in his bed." Griffin rolled his eyes, ducking in and pulling in Christian.

"Oh, Sammy!" She hollered. The curtains moved a bit before Sam's head popped out. "There he is!" He smiled a bit. She frowned. "Babe, what's wrong?"

"I need to tell you something but I doubt this is the right circumstance." He chuckled.

"What could be better than yelling out of our windows?" She smirked.

"Aud, I really, really, really, really, really like you." He blurted.

Her smile fell then. "I really, really, really, really, really like you too, Sammy." She cooed. "Now go get drunk with your friend!"

Christian cheered from in Sam's room. Sam laughed. "Talk to you soon."

Her phone beeped from a message from Griffin.

One more 'really' and it's love.

It took everything in Audrey to not to squeal like a little girl and hop around her room. She slowly closed her window and curtains then blared some music. She danced around as she packed. Sam telling her that made leaving even more difficult, but she missed her family.

She was interrupted by the doorbell ringing throughout the house. She sighed, pausing her music. She slid into some slippers before stepping out of her room. She hopped down the stairs, being met by her dog at the bottom of them. She scratched his head as she walked to the door. She opened it, surprise taking over her.

"Nathan?" She questioned.

"I needed to talk to you before you left." He explained.

"You shouldn't be here." She sighed, crossing her arms.

"Just hear me out." He begged.

"Nath,"

"I'm sorry for being a complete goof. I let my feelings get the best of me and I was wrong to do that." He told her. She nodded. "I just needed to see you."

"It's not okay to say that. I'm with Sam." She played with her shirt sleeve.

"Can we just be friends?" He pleaded. She gave him a look. "I promise I'll be normal."

She rolled her eyes, taking a deep breath. "Alright, friends." He smiled. "But you have to leave now. I need to finish packing."

He nodded, looking down. "You know, I'll never find another girl like you, Audrey."

She shook her head. "You'll find someone better than me, MacKinnon. Keep your head up."
