This Means War
Chapter 2 - What A Night!
Nadia’s P.O.V.
“Please excuse the mess, we just moved in” I said, turning the door knob.
We entered my room and the very feminine guy gasped. What? He never saw a messy room before?
“Are you sure this is your room?” he asked, looking at the people around him in shock. “There’s nothing girly in there!”
This annoying girl with a dick was going to be knocked down if he kept going like this.
“Calm down Sacha” Tommy said in a kinda severe voice. “She IS a girl and we are here to help her become the perfect princess for the prince buffet tonight”
“Prince buffet?” I repeated.
“Or the congress of the hottest males in Chicago if you prefer” he chuckled.
We laughed. Sacha motioned to me to sit down on my bed. Before my butt touched the sheets, I saw the wrapping of a condom I picked as subtly as I could before hiding it under the mattress. People must not know that we do this kind of activities together. Tommy and the other guy sat on my sides and watched Sacha go around my closet with a disdain expression.
“Damn, you don’t wear a lot of girly cute clothes, my dear”
He was getting on my nerves. What’s the problem if I don’t think typical girls’ clothes are comfortable and I prefer t-shirts and jeans? I was planning different scenarios on how to kick his ass until I saw him smile. Wait, what? He smiled looking at my closet? What the hell?!
“Among all your geeky stuff, you were hiding this precious piece of sexy! I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed, turning around to show us what he found.
Tommy had a huge smile on his face. Sacha found the tight black dress Tommy gave me before leaving at the end of last year. It hugged every of my curves with soft and subtle folds all along with a glitter stripe from the top to the bottom. I loved it. I smiled, remembering how hot the night had been after he first saw me in it.
“With a push up bra and hot heels, no one will be able to resist you” the guy on my left said.
“I got this” I said, standing up to look into my closet to find those missing pieces.
Time had passed and night had come a long time ago. I looked at my reflection in the mirror while Sacha and the other guy that I don’t know his name were finishing my hair. I let them do; I am terrible with my hair. I can’t even flat them correctly! I kept thinking of the names that were on the list Don found. Jonathan Toews, my favorite player of all time! I still can’t believe I’ll be in the same building as him in a moment. By what I heard in his interviews, he looked so nice and amazing… The perfect good guy! But let’s not forget about Patrick Kane, one of the hottest hockey players I’ve ever seen. I can’t resist boys with curly hair and pale eyes… just like him! I wondered what I could do to try to speak to them without looking dumb. I took a sip of the gin tonic Sacha made me. Ugh, pretty strong. I’ll be drunk in a minute with this thing. Tommy came back to look after me and saw my disgust face.
“Who gave you this?” he asked, picking up the glass from my hand.
“Sacha”
He smelled it and looked absolutely horrified.
“Dammit, Sacha! I don’t want her to crawl back home and throw up in my car!”
“Come on it’s her first drink of the night!”
Tommy exhaled deeply and went out of the room with the glass, probably to give it to someone else or even pouring it in the sink. I sighed and continued imagining the rest of the night. Were we even going to meet them? If we even got inside, they’d probably be busy with bitches already. Sacha stopped right in front of me and looked at me with disappointment.
“What?” I hissed.
“You look sad. You shouldn’t”
I sighed, avoiding his interrogative look just as Tommy was coming back in my room.
“What’s that look babe?” Tommy asked in his forever comforting tone.
“You think everything will be fine tonight?” I asked.
“Why wouldn’t it be? You’re safe with us” he said, sitting down next to me.
“I’m not worried about safety… It’s about me”
Sacha just finished my hair as I finished my sentence.
“Look at your gorgeous self and smile!”
I looked at my reflection. Wow… Was that really me? I didn’t know I could be a hot chick in any way. My hair was tied up a little bumpy with the rest loose and slightly curled and kept on the side. I just needed a little touch up on my makeup and I was ready to go. Maybe I could compete with those puck sluts with such a look… How much of a dream it would be! I lived with the QMJHL in my hometown and was deceived every time. I enjoyed speaking to the rookies as soon as they were drafted but, by the time they traveled and trained a bit with their new teammates, they became different. Not so different in fact, they became like all the others : not giving a single fuck about me. I lifted my head up to look at my reflection again. I had to forget about my past. I was far far away from those youth problems. I was a girl in Chicago living with her best friend. I was happy.
Tommy’s P.O.V.
I put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. I knew there was a storm going on in her head by the look she had; that look I saw way too often. I had to do something to make sure she wanted to come. She could turn her back and go to bed just because she was afraid of the people’s reaction. I never lived this but I couldn’t imagine what kind of hell it was to live this way. She took my hand and looked up at me while the two others left the room. She smiled at me.
“You are absolutely gorgeous, Nadia”
“Thank you” she whispered with a smile.
Nadia’s P.O.V.
I stood up, almost blushing. I was ready for the night. I knew I looked beautiful and I had enough men around me to be safe in all cases. Everything was gonna be alright. I picked up my makeup bag and started doing some touch-ups on my gloss.
“Do you think you’ll bring someone home tonight?” Tommy asked, leaning on the wall next to me.
I looked at him, mouth still pouted and hand paused in the air.
“How do I do that?” I blurted out, instantly feeling stupid.
Tommy chuckled. I wasn’t trying to be funny. I really never did bring anyone home in any cases. Of course, I ended some nights with Tommy but it wasn’t the same at all! He slowly stopped chuckling to look at my semi-scared expression.
“You have no idea how to bring someone home?” he asked, unbelieving.
I awkwardly smiled. Facepalm from him.
“Don’t you remember that you’re the only guy I slept with in my life?” I reminded him.
It could sound weird, but it happened. I wanted my first time to happen with someone I trusted. He also wanted to know the feeling of having sex with a girl. When I thought about it, the idea of spending the night in another man’s arms seemed as scary as exciting. I sat heavily on my bed, feeling ashamed of not having any experience on that field. Tommy sat next to me and put a hand in my back.
“First... Struggle to convince the guy to come to your place. I don’t care if he makes you scream all night; I want you back here for your safety”
I nodded. I didn’t even think of following a stranger anywhere!
“Then...” he looked up at the ceiling. “It comes by itself. You’ll feel it”
I listened to him quietly, trying to take mental notes. I just hope I won’t look like a crazy stupid dumbass!
“And don’t worry” he added, patting my shoulder, “I’ll always be close. If anything happens, I’ll save you”
We both smiled.
“Who can resist you anyway? You could easily turn my friends into heteros!”
I laughed.
“Come on” he said, taking my hand. “If you forget about the one-night possibility, we were going out in style to have a lot of fun”
I smiled in corner.
“Pass the booze!”
We went to the kitchen. I looked through the bottles in the fridge to make myself a drink while Tommy was trying to figure out how to plug the radio. He knew nothing about electronics and forgot again to call a specialist to install all our stuff. Putting a 40 oz of vodka next to a bottle of Stinger on the counter, I saw Don coming to his rescue. While searching through the songs on his iPhone, he whistled me. All other boys turned towards me and did the same. I blushed instantly. A minute later, the radio was ready to work. Tommy didn’t lose any more time and plugged his phone. I was still hesitating between the two strongly alcoholic beverages until I heard the song Tommy put.
“Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots!”
That song was right, let’s go for the shots! I grabbed the Stinger and put it on the table, next to a few shooter glasses. The boys cheered and drank. It wasn’t long that the party started. Even the designated drivers were having fun with us! Or I should say, making fun of us...
...
Tommy’s P.O.V.
I watched her dancing and yelling drunken stupidities with everyone. Though she was visibly drunk, she looked great. I drank the rest of my juice before checking my watch. Holy crap, we’re late!
“GUYS!”
I was very surprised to see everyone shutting it down to listen to me. I didn’t know I was that charming!
“By the time we get there, we’ll almost be late so let’s go quick and in order please!”
Everyone got into some cars pretty fast for drunk people. Great! I helped Nadia get into her truck. Yes, I was going to drive that huge piece of crap. It didn’t look good at all but there was way more space left and I didn’t really care if she threw up in it, comparing to mine. I started driving, followed by my friends’ cars. All the way, I had to hold myself from laughing at Nadia. She was so funny when drunk! We soon arrived and parked our cars near from the club and could see the very long waiting line on the sidewalk. At least I thought of calling! Everyone followed me like we were a wolf pack. It felt pretty awesome. The doorman tried to intimidate me but I showed him my ID and he changed his mind. He opened the gate to let us in without checking the others.
Nadia’s P.O.V
Well, that place was awesome! The music was good and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Then I remembered... The Hawks! We were here to meet the Hawks! Where were they?!
“Where are they?!” I asked Tommy.
“What?” he replied, handing me a drink.
“The Hawks, dude!” I yelled, almost spilling my drink on the floor.
Tommy looked at his watch and did a weird face. I couldn’t say what was his expression, my vision was a little blurred.
“What?”
“Their reservation is over. They’re supposed to be among us right now”
He looked around. Starting to worry, I took a huge sip. Almost the half of my glass disappeared. Meanwhile, Don came to ask me to dance. He smelled a horrible aroma of beer but I didn’t care. I wanted to dance. We made our way to the middle of the dancefloor and started dancing. Though I was drunk, I still knew how to twist it and shake it. Surprisingly, Don was pretty good too. He kept looking me in the eyes while making his moves. Hehe, if I wasn’t taking any guy home, I’d take him for sure! Uhh... What the hell did I just think? I shook my head and turned my back on him, making some more sexy moves. By the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar face. I tried to keep it subtle while trying to figure out who it was. Don came back to face me so I lost him from my field of view, which wasn’t very clear. After quite a while, I started feeling thirsty and hot. I avoided his last move to make my way towards the bar. On my way, I felt a hand on my shoulder. Must walk faster, creep alert!
“Hey! Wait” I heard the stranger’s voice behind me.
I tried to walk as fast as my heels permitted it. Dammit, Tommy where are you?! I felt a hand on my shoulder again, but with more pressure. I turned around.
“Hey cutie...” said a very hot guy with curly red hair. “What you did there...” he pointed the dancefloor, “was just amazing.”
I chuckled. I don’t know who you are but you’re nice! And your face reminds me of someone...
“Thanks!”
“Can I offer you a drink?”
I nodded and we both went to the bar. We had a few drinks together which got us pretty crazy. He was touching my thighs and I didn’t care. Fuck Don, I’ll just take this one. We cheered to a Tequila shot. Uh oh, mistake. I should never have taken that one. My vision was blurred and my head was pounding. I felt a hand on my cheek. It was soft like Tommy’s. I lifted my glance to see the hot guy’s face. He was leaning in for a kiss. Fuck your kiss, I just wanna make out! Which we did... When we finally pulled away, he looked at me with a groggy smile.
“What’s your name again?” I asked.
“Patrick” he chuckled. “And you?”
“Nadia”
We started making out again.
Tommy’s P.O.V.
I shook Sacha’s hand and watched him leave with the last few of us. I had to find Nadia. We were the last ones left. I hoped she didn’t leave with someone! I scoped the room, looking for her.
Nadia’s P.O.V.
I could feel the tension between us. It felt very good. We looked each other in the eyes. He bit his lip.
“Your place or mine?” he asked.
It was that simple? Crap... I looked around and found Tommy. I waved at him.
“Mine!” I replied. “I just need my lift to drive us there”
He nodded, watching Tommy come closer.
“Heyyy Tommyy!” I yelled, suddenly becoming drunk-dumb.
“Sorry bro” he said to Patrick. “I have to take her back to her place”
“Thanks dude, I’m coming” he said, standing up.
“I’m taking him back home!” I told him with a huge smile.
Tommy exhaled in impatience.
“Then hurry up, I don’t wanna get stuck with the drunk drivers at the bars’ closing time”
I tried to put my feet on the floor. It looked wavy. When I put weight on them, my legs felt like jelly.
“Dammit! How do I walk?”
Tommy’s P.O.V.
I put my arm around her waist to support her while we walked to her car, followed by... hey I know that guy!
“By the way, I’m Patrick” the guy said.
“Tommy” I replied, wondering if I should feel proud of her to bring a Hawk at home or afraid he could hurt her. Was I being jealous? “Here we are” I said, pressing the button to unlock the doors. “Get in”
Patrick easily got into the car while I was trying to put Nadia on a seat. I doubted she could be able to do anything tonight... Anyway, I drove us home and helped Nadia walk to our condo. Patrick simply followed, not saying a single word. I took her to her room and let her fall on her bed. She immediately passed out. Patrick entered the room, took the free space next to her and passed out too. Well... Guess it was time for me to go to bed too.
“Please excuse the mess, we just moved in” I said, turning the door knob.
