Melody is at the doctor to find out the sex of her baby and to see if everything is ok with her pregnancy.

Doctor Jordanna - Everything looks good in there hon.
Melody - That’s good I guess.
Doctor Jordanna - You don’t seem too excited about this baby.
Melody - This baby was created in not the most ideal conditions
Doctor Jordanna - Were you raped hon?
Melody - Yes about 4 months ago.
Doctor Jordanna - I’m sorry hon. Did you want to know the sex of your baby?
Melody - Sure
Doctor Jordanna - Your baby is a boy.
Melody - (Smiles) I was secretly hoping that my baby was a boy.
Doctor Jordanna - Do you have anyone to take care of you?
Melody - No, not in town. My sister lives in Montreal. So I’m on my own.
Doctor Jordanna - What about the baby’s father?
Melody - I don’t want him anywhere near this baby.
Doctor Jordanna - Ok say no more. If you need any help there’s support group for single mothers who’s babies were created by rape.
Melody - I’ll have to look into. It would nice to be around women who understand what I’ve been going through.
Doctor Jordanna - I can just tell you’ve through a lot.
Melody - I was a college student cuz of this I had to drop out cuz when I would walk to class I would get dirty looks.
Doctor Jordanna - There’s a meeting tomorrow why don’t you come sit in on one.
Melody - I think I will.
Doctor Jordanna - Ok, see you tomorrow.

Melody leaves the hospital and heads home. When she gets to her apartment she remembers that some of her heavy furniture is still in storage. She decides to call her friend Alex to see if he can come help her since she’s pregnant and should left anything heavy. He tells her he can’t come help he has to study for a test tomorrow. She then decides to call Christian to see if he can come help. He has since moved to Pittsburgh and rooms with James.

Christian - Hey, what do you need Mel?
Melody - Can you come down and help me?
Christian - Sure, what do you need help with?
Melody - I have some heavy furniture in storage that I have room for in my new apartment. Can you come help me get it out of there?
Christian - Sure, I’ll bring help with me.
Melody - Great
Christian - I will see you later
Melody - Bye for now

They hang up. Melody heads into the kitchen to fix herself an early lunch. She sits at the table and eats her lunch. She gets done eating, puts her dishes in the sink, and lays down on the couch with her blanket. She is asleep a short time later until later that afternoon when she hears a knock at the door. She unlocks the door and opens it. She smiles when she sees Christian. He gives her a big hug.

Christian - You look better then the last time I saw you.
Melody - I’m starting to feel a little better. So who did you bring with you to help?
Christian - (Smiles) I think you’ll like who I brought with me.
Melody - Really?

Just then James pulls up to Melody’s apartment and gets out of his car. Melody gets a huge smile on her face as her heart starts racing seeing James. Very few people know that Melody has a little bit of a crush on James. It’s not something she talks about. She sighs when James smiles at her. Melody smiles sheepishly and blushes.

James - Hey, nice to see you again Mel.
Melody - He….Hey James.
James - Nice to see you’re doing better then the last time I saw you.
Melody - It’s sweet that care about me.
Christian - (Laughs) Ok you two stop flirting with one another.
Melody - Sorry
Christian - Nothing to be sorry about. Come on lets go get your stuff.

Melody goes back inside to grab her keys. They then head to the storage place that is about a block away from Melody’s apartment. James and Christian load everything in Christian’s truck. They can’t get it all in one load. They head back to Melody’s apartment and unload everything. They head back to the storage unit and gets the rest of Melody’s stuff. They unload the final load. Melody thanks Christian and James for their hard work.

Melody - Thank you guys for your help today.
Christian - You’re welcome Mel.
Melody - It’s late. I’m going to head to bed.
Christian - Alright, I’m going to head my room for the night. You coming James?
James - Yeah, I’ll just meet you there.
Christian - Ok

Melody heads into her bedroom. She gets ready for bed. She lays down on her bed, covers herself with her blanket, and goes right to sleep. A couple hours later James goes into check on Melody and hears her whimpering in her sleep. He sits on the bed beside her. She wakes up and is nervous about the bad dream she just had. She sees James sitting beside her.

James - Hey, you ok?
Melody - I was just having a bad dream.
James - About what?
Melody - It’s not important.
James - Please tell me. Maybe I can help you.
Melody - (Cries) No one can help. No one understands how being raped has changed me and my life. I just want to be alone now.
James - (Starts getting choked up cuz he wants to help Melody) I…I wish there was something I could do to help you. You don’t deserve this. I’ll go but promise me you’ll take care of yourself.
Melody - I will don’t worry.
James - Good cuz I would hate for something to happen to you Mel. I do care about you.
Melody - I know you do and maybe someday we’ll see each other again.
James - I would love to see you again if our paths cross again.
Melody - So would I.
James - Bye Mel
Melody - Bye James

They look into each others eyes and begin to kiss. James gets up and leaves Melody’s apartment. Melody goes back to sleep and stays asleep until the next morning. A week passes. Melody has decided she is going to take her classes online. That way she doesn’t have to go onto campus.
