Melody is out treating herself to her favorite bowl of soup. As she’s eating her soup she sees Ian kissing yet another girl. This time she is really mad cuz she sees the girl is Kaylee. She walks over to them and confronts Ian once and for all. Kaylee leaves so Ian and Melody can talk.

Melody - What the hell are you doing?
Ian - Kissing a girl who actually believes that I never raped you.
Melody - Why am I not surprised. You were never faithful to me. How long till you get tired of Kaylee? I give it a month.
Ian - I won’t get tired of her. She’s hot and doesn’t worry about her education.
Melody - You will set your sights on another girl. I know it.
Ian - Like hell I will. I love Kaylee.
Melody - You may love her now but in a month or two you’ll be cheating on her like you did me.
Ian - I had to hook up with Kaylee cuz it would be the ultimate pay back for you accusing me of raping me.
Melody - Yes, cuz you did rape me. This baby growing inside me is a reminder of what you did to me that night.
Ian - You look fine to me and seriously how long will it take for you to get over it?
Melody - I never knew pain, depression, confusion, and any other emotion had an expiration date. As for how long will it take for me to recover. I have no idea but trust me I’ve doing everything I can. I may look fine on the outside but you have no what I feel like on the inside.
Ian - In a few years you won’t even care that you accused me of rape.
Melody - This isn’t like a broken bone. The road to recovery is a long and rocky one. I don’t need a boyfriend like you who is brushing off this incident as if we can laugh about it later. We’re done Ian. I can’t take the abuse or cheating anymore. I should have broke it off with you after the rape happened but I was too scared to cuz I thought you would come after me again. So have a nice life with Kaylee. That is until you get tired of her and then do the same to her as you did to me.
Ian - I plan on having a very nice life with her.
Melody - Oh and another thing I want you no where near my baby once he’s born.
Ian - What? You can’t do that.
Melody - I’m his mother and if I don’t want you in his life you’re not going to be in his life. This child deserves to be loved. He will have a step father who will love him one day soon.
Ian - Yeah right Mel. No guy on campus will date you cuz I got them to all hate you.
Melody - Who says it has to be a guy from Raleigh?
Ian - You will never get a guy. No guy will date you when they find out that you’re pregnant. I will make sure of that.
Melody - I would like to see you try. Kaylee will find out so enough why I never had sex with you.
Ian - What’s that suppose to mean?
Melody - When we were first together I wanted to have sex but you were hesitant. That was a huge turn off but that’s not my problem anymore.
Ian - Just get out of my face.
Melody - Gladly and good riddance.

Melody leaves and heads home. When she goes into her apartment she decides to call her sister.

Elyse - You sure sound happy.
Melody - I finally did it.
Elyse - Did what?
Melody - Kicked Ian to the curb.
Elyse - Good for you hon. What made you finally dump him?
Melody - I caught him kissing another girl.
Elyse - That pig. Who was he kissing?
Melody - Kaylee
Elyse - Is she really that dumb to date him after what he did to you?
Melody - She’s been brainwashed to believe him instead of me. He’s got the entire campus to believe I’m the bad guy.
Elyse - Well it’s not your problem anymore.
Melody - That’s right and now I’m free to date anyone I want.
Elyse - You mean like James?
Melody - Yes even him.
Elyse - I serious think you should go for it.
Melody - I’m considering it. He is so sweet and it doesn’t hurt that he is sexy.
Elyse - Aww, I think he would make you so happy.
Melody - I think he would too. I’m going to go take a nice relaxing bubble bath.
Elyse - Ok, talk to you later Mel.

They hang up hang up. Melody goes into the bathroom. She turns on the water, waits for it to warm up, and puts bubbles into water. She undresses and gets into the bath water. She closes her eyes and starts fantasying about how great her life would be if she started dating James. She sighs when her cell rings. She gets out of the tub and pulls the plug, she goes into her room, and gets ready for bed. She lays down on her bed and answers her phone.

Melody - Hey Christian. What’s up?
Christian - Somebody wants to talk to you.
Melody - You mean James wants to talk to me?
Christian - Mel, he can’t stop talking about the day him and I came down to help you. What happened that night after I left?
Melody - We may have kissed. I know it shouldn’t have happened but it did.
Christian - I knew as soon as I left you two alone it was going to happen. You should just admit you have feelings for each other.
Melody - I just want to be friends with him right now. I don’t want to rush into things like I did with Ian.
Christian - I can understand that.
Melody - I just want to hit the reset button and start over with James.
Christian - Clean slate I like that but will you talk to him?
Melody - Ok I will
Christian - Ok here he is.
James - Mel?
Melody - Yeah James?
James - I’m sorry about kissing you when I was there the last time.
Melody - It’s ok James. It really wasn’t that horrible.
James - It sure wasn’t. I was thinking and I want to start things over and pretend we never met. I want to do this right.
Melody - I was thinking the same thing. The last time I rushed into a relationship it didn’t end well.
James - Hey, I should go I have an early practice in the morning.
Melody - Ok, goodnight James.
James - Good night
Christian - I’m going to go too so good night.
Melody - Night

They hang up. Melody lays her head on her pillow and is asleep a short time later until the next morning. A week passes and Melody is watching a Penguins game. James does something bad in the game. He knees another player in the head by accident. Melody has the urge to defend James. Who knows how this will go.
