James and Melody have called everyone who is important to them to come down to Nashville cuz they have two very big announcements to make. Everyone arrives at the house in Nashville. They’re kind of nervous cuz they don’t know what James and Melody are going to say.

Elyse - What’s this about you guys?
Deborah - Must be important to call all of us down here.
Leslie - How about we wait for James and Mel to tell us what’s going on.
James - I’m sure you’re all wondering why we called you all here.
Deborah - What’s this all about James?
James - A few days ago Melody and I had a paternity test done on Deter cuz the truth about who his father really is came into question.
Deborah - James what are you saying?
James - I’m really the father to the little boy that is napping up stairs.
Deborah - Oh my god. So that sweet little boy is my grandson?
James - Yes he is.
Elyse - So you’re saying the two weeks you two were in St Lucia was when Deter was created?
Melody - That’s correct
Leslie - I’m sorry I can’t be happy about this news.
Melody - What? Why?
Leslie - That means you lied to Ian about Deter being his son.
Melody - The thing is I never knew that James was Deter’s father cuz if you remember the pregnancy symptoms didn’t show up until after I was raped. So I assumed Deter was his with the timing of the symptoms. With the baby I’m currently carrying I knew right away that I was pregnant.
Leslie - Oh my god. What were you thinking making another baby so soon?
Melody - Deter and this one will be exactly one year apart. What’s so wrong about that?
Leslie - Isn’t Deter enough for you guys?
Melody - Baby number 2 was unplanned just like Deter was. We were on our honeymoon so we did what all newlyweds do on their honeymoons.
Leslie - God you two are stupid. It’s like you don’t know how babies are made. You don’t deserve anymore babies. I hope to god you guys stop at two cuz you won’t be able to take care of anymore.
Melody - What do you want me to do? Abort the one I’m carrying now? Give Deter up for adoption? Cuz I’m not doing either of those.
Leslie - How about using birth control?
Melody - For your information I was on birth control. I had shots that last 3 months. Last June was the end of the 3 months. Then the raped happened and I was in a dark place until I met James again. My birth control shots were the last thing on my mind so I never got them again. So if you’re going to be so judgmental then get out of my house.
Leslie - Gladly

Leslie leaves angry. Elyse and James’s mom stay and talk some more.

Elyse - It’s wonderful that Deter is James’s son. It appears he has a pretty wonderful life. How about you go get him? I haven’t gotten to meet my little nephew yet.
Melody - Well ok

Melody goes up stairs to get Deter.

Deborah - I knew that night when I was holding him that he was your son James.
James - I honestly had no idea that he was mine.
Elyse - I don’t think Mel did either and it’s wrong for Leslie to think otherwise.
Deborah - So when did you guys find out that Mel was pregnant?
James - Right before we moved down here. So first part of July.
Elyse - Aww, so she’s 2 months pregnant?
James - Yes, next month we find out what the sex of the baby is.
Deborah - Aww, you will have to call me after you find out.
James - Of course we will.

Just then Melody comes down stairs with Deter. She gives him to Elyse to hold.

Elyse - Oh my god. He looks like a mini version of you James.
Melody - (Laughs) That’s why he’s such a cute baby.
Deborah - It’s safe to say that you two make beautiful babies.
James - (Smiles) Yes we do.
Melody - Why don’t you take him back up bed sweetie?
James - I’ll be right back.

James picks up Deter and takes him back to bed. Melody puts her hand on her belly and sighs.

Deborah - You ok dear?
Melody - Just can’t believe Leslie would be so judgmental about James being Deter’s real father and him and I having another baby.
Elyse - It’s not like you lied to Ian. We always thought it was him who got you pregnant.
Melody - And my shot had expired the day before I left for St Lucia. How was I to know I would get pregnant the first few days off the shot?
Deborah - You weren’t hon.
Elyse - You don’t need her. You have us, James, and your beautiful son. So what are you hoping for baby number 2?
Melody - It doesn’t matter to me. As long as the baby is healthy.
Elyse - We should go. You look tired.
Deborah - We’ll be by tomorrow to spend some more time with little Deter.
Melody - See you guys later

Elyse and James’s mom leave when James comes back down stairs. He goes over to the couch and sits next to Melody. He lays down and grabs Melody’s arm pulling her close to him. They begin looking into each other eyes and begin to kiss. James then lays on top of Melody. They begin to kiss and tearing each other clothes off. James starts kissing gently biting Melody’s neck. She begins to moan when James starts kissing others parts of her body.

Melody - Oh James. Oh god James.
James - Oh Mel. Oh god baby.
Melody - Oh god that feels so good.
James - Oh baby you are so sexy.
Melody - Oh James I want you so bad.
James - Oh Mel baby I want you so bad too.
Melody - Oh yeah right there.
James - Oh baby I love you.
Melody - Oh James I love you too
.
The sex continues until Melody orgasms. James gets off of her. Melody lays her head on James’s chest. James smiles when he wraps arms around her.

James - (Gives Melody a kiss) I love you so much.
Melody - (Sighs) I love you too James.
James - You look tired sweetie. Why don’t we go to bed?
Melody - Sounds good to me.

James and Melody grab their clothes and head up stairs. They go into their bedroom and get ready for bed. While Melody is getting ready for bed James goes into Deter’s nursery to check on him. He picks him up and goes over to the rocking chair and starts rocking him as he gives Deter a bottle. James gently burps Deter and puts him back in his crib. He leans forward and kisses Deter on the forehead and tells him how much he loves him. He leaves the nursery and goes back into the bedroom. He sees that Melody is already asleep. He lays down on the bed beside Melody and wraps his arms around her so that they’re spooning with one another. He’s asleep a short time later until the next morning. A month passes. James and Melody are at the doctor to find out the sex of their baby.
