James is gone for most of the day. Melody has asked James’s mom if she can watch the kids cuz a friend of hers is visiting for a couple days. Her and her friend Kate meet up for lunch. She sends Ian a text to meet her for lunch. Ian arrives a short time later. He sits down in the empty chair next to Melody.

Ian - I wanted to congratulate you and James on the birth of your twins.
Melody - Thank you Ian.
Ian - You’re welcome. You going to introduce me to your friend?
Melody - Ian, I would like you to meet my friend Kate. She’s visiting from California.
Ian - Nice to meet you Kate.
Kate - Likewise
Ian - Don’t suppose you would be interested in going out with me?
Kate - I would love to.
Melody - Alright I’m going to head home to check on my babies.

Melody pays for her lunch and then goes home. By the time she gets home James is already home and he doesn’t look very happy.

James - It’s about time you come home. Where have you been?
Melody - I was at lunch with a friend who was visiting from California.
James - Don’t lie to me. Who were you cheating on me with?
Melody - How dare you accuse me of cheating on you. I was playing match maker for a couple of my friends. That’s all I was doing James.
James - You were with Ian again weren’t you?
Melody - Yes I was.
James - Are you really that stupid? Did you forget what he did to you?
Melody - He’s changed James. He’s cleaned up his life.
James - I don’t know if I can believe you. So how was the sex?
Melody - Oh my god James. I didn’t have sex with him. I can’t believe how childish you’re acting. I can’t stand this. I’m taking the kids and leaving. I may never come back unless you fix this horrible jealousy.
James - Fine, I don’t need you.
Melody - Me either

Melody goes up stairs packs a bag. She grabs the kids and goes back down stairs. She leaves in a huff and slams the front door behind her. James picks up one of their wedding pictures and throws it across the room. The frame shatters when it hit’s the wall. He goes over to clean up the mess. As he’s picking up the pieces of glass he ends up cutting up his hand. He turns on the water in the kitchen sink washing the blood off his hands. As he’s cleaning up his hands he starts to cry cuz he just let the love of his life walk out on him. He starts to wonder if she’ll come back. Just then his mom comes down stairs.

Deborah - Where’s Melody and the kids?
James - I don’t know. We just had a fight and she left with them. I don’t know if she’s ever going to come back. I really messed up.
Deborah - James, what did you do?
James - I accused her of cheating on me with her ex.
Deborah - Oh James you should know she would never do that. She loves you.
James - I’m not sure she does. If she did she won’t have been with her ex.
Deborah - Sounds like to me you’re jealous that she has patched things up with Ian. (She then sees James’s cut up hands) What on earth did you do to your hands?
James - I cut them picking up the glass frame I broke.
Deborah - Come on I’ll take you to the ER to get those stitched back up.

James’s mom takes him to the ER to get his hands stitched up. Meanwhile Melody and the kids are at a hotel. She decides to call her sister.

Elyse - Mel, what’s wrong sweetie?
Melody - I got into a horrible fight with James. I don’t know if I want to go home.
Elyse - Oh my god. What happened?
Melody - He accused me of cheating on him.
Elyse - You would never do that to him. How dare he say that to you. Is he really that jealous that you and Ian are friends now?
Melody - I think he really is. I don’t think I want to see him for awhile.
Elyse - If you want you can bring the kids and come home for awhile. James will realize how lost he’ll be without you.
Melody - Ok, I’ll fly up in the morning.
Elyse - Ok, I will come get you from the airport when you get here.
Melody - Ok, see you tomorrow.

They hang up. Melody lays her head on the pillow and is asleep a short time later until early the next morning. She and the kids head to the airport and fly to Montreal. A few hours later Melody and the kids arrive in Montreal. Elyse comes to pick them up from the airport and takes them to her house. Elyse helps Melody her bags. They set up two of the guest rooms for the kids to sleep in. Elyse decides to make Melody something to eat. Melody comes into the kitchen and sits at the table. Elyse has made Melody her favorite foods. She dishes up dinner for the two of them. She sits down next to her sister and can tell she is hurting. As they’re eating they begin having a sister talk.

Elyse - You ok Mel?
Melody - I miss him.
Elyse - James?
Melody - I know I should be mad at him but for some reason I just want to go home and make things right. I need him in my life.
Elyse - Why don’t you stay here for a week or two and then try and fix things with James. He’ll want you to come home. I’m sure he already realizes he was wrong.
Melody - I’m going to go to bed.
Elyse - Ok, night Mel
Melody - Night

Melody checks on the kids. She hears Deter crying for James. She starts to cry seeing what being away from James is doing to Deter. She grabs Deter and lets him sleep with her tonight. Deter crawls over to Melody and curls up beside her and goes to sleep. Melody eventually falls asleep. A few weeks pass and she gets a call from James’s mom to come home right away. James has been severely injured in a game.
