James has an off day from practice so he and Melody are at the doctor to find out sex of their baby. James is holding Melody’s hand while they wait for the doctor.

James - It’s going to be ok baby.
Melody - I know I’m just a little nervous.
James - It’s ok honey. I’m nervous too.
Melody - You are?
James - You bet I am. I’ve been nervous since the day we found out you were pregnant.
Melody - There’s nothing to be nervous about sweetie. You’re so good with Deter and you’ll be good with this baby too.
James - I know that. I just want everything to be ok in there.
Melody - Aww, don’t worry it will be.

Just then the doctor comes into the room and performs an ultra sound on Melody’s belly to determine the sex of Melody’s baby.

Doctor Jade - It looks like a girl but I wouldn’t go out and buy all pink yet. I’ll do another ultra sound on you when you’re at 20 weeks to check again.
James - So the baby could really be male?
Doctor Jade - With way the baby is laying it’s possible it’s hiding its parts.
Melody - Ok I guess we’ll you in a month and a half.

They leave the doctors office. James decides to take Melody out to lunch. They go home after having some lunch. When they get home they go up stairs and start cuddling on their bed.

James - I love you so much baby.
Melody - I love you too.
James - You ok about not knowing the sex of our baby?
Melody - I’m kind of bummed about it but I guess we can wait another month I guess.
James - It doesn’t matter to me what we have as long as your two are ok.
Melody - Aww, that’s really sweet James.
James - I mean it. I would be heartbroken if something happened to the two of you.
Melody - Aww
James - I love you
Melody - I love you too.

Melody lays her head on James’s chest and goes right to sleep. James wraps his arm around Melody and is asleep a short time later until later that night. Melody gets up to make them dinner. James follows her down stairs. He sets the table and lights a couple of candles. A little while later Melody brings dinner over to the table. Melody sits down next to James. As they’re eating James takes a hold of Melody’s hand and tells her how much he loves her. They finish eating, clean up the table, and then go over to couch. Melody snuggles up to James and is asleep a short time later. James smiles when he wraps arms around her. He watches her sleep for a little while. He decides to take Melody up to bed. He picks her up and carries her upstairs. He takes her into their bedroom and gently lays her down on the bed. James goes into Deter’s nursery to check on him. He picks him up and goes over to the rocking chair and starts rocking him as he gives Deter a bottle. James gently burps Deter and puts him back in his crib. He leans forward and kisses Deter on the forehead and tells him how much he loves him. He leaves the nursery and goes back into the bedroom. He lays down on the bed beside Melody. He wraps his arms around her so that they’re spooning with one another. He’s asleep a short time later until the next morning. A month and half passes. James and Melody are back at the doctor to determine the sex of their baby but they get a big surprise.
