Chapter 5 - Twin Surprise
James and Melody are at the doctor again to see how the twins are doing. The doctor comes into room and does an ultrasound on Melody’s belly.
Doctor Jade - Everything looks good in there. It appears your twins are really two girls.
Melody - Wow, that’s great news. Right sweetie?
James - You bet it is. Didn’t expect two girls.
Melody - Me either sweetie.
Doctor Jade - As long as things keep going like they are I won’t need to see you again for a few months.
Melody - Ok, thank you doctor.
They leave the doctors office. James decides to take Melody out to lunch. They go home after having some lunch. When they get home they go up stairs and start cuddling on their bed.
James - I love you so much baby.
Melody - I love you too.
James - (Smiles) Can’t believe our twins are girls.
Melody - (Smiles) Me either
James - (Places his hand on Melody’s belly and smiles) Can’t believe you have twins growing inside of you.
Melody - I feel so fat and gross
James - Don’t say that sweetie. Your baby belly makes you look beautiful.
Melody - Do you really mean that?
James - Of course I do honey.
Melody - Aww, that is so sweet of you to say.
James - I mean it sweetie.
Melody - Aww, I love you James.
James - I love you too.
James gives Melody a kiss when Melody lays her head on James’s chest and goes right to sleep. James wraps his arm around Melody and is asleep a short time later until later that night. Melody gets up to make them dinner. James follows her down stairs. He sets the table and lights a couple of candles. A little while later Melody brings dinner over to the table. Melody sits down next to James. As they’re eating James takes a hold of Melody’s hand and tells her how much he loves her. They finish eating, clean up the table, and then go over to couch. Melody snuggles up to James and is asleep a short time later. James smiles when he wraps arms around her. He watches her sleep for a little while. He decides to take Melody up to bed. He picks her up and carries her upstairs. He takes her into their bedroom and gently lays her down on the bed. James goes into Deter’s nursery to check on him. He picks him up and goes over to the rocking chair and starts rocking him as he gives Deter a bottle. James gently burps Deter and puts him back in his crib. He leans forward and kisses Deter on the forehead and tells him how much he loves him. He leaves the nursery and goes back into the bedroom. He lays down on the bed beside Melody. He wraps his arms around her so that they’re spooning with one another. He’s asleep a short time later until the next morning. Melody wakes up and gives James a kiss when he wakes up and smiles.
Melody - So nice that you have an off day today.
James - (Laughs when he sees what time it is) Wow, we really slept in this morning.
Melody - Why? What time is it?
James - It’s 10:30
Melody - (Laughs) Wow, I guess we did sleep in.
James - But it’s good for you and the twins to get enough sleep.
Melody - I know it is.
James - Why don’t I make us something quick for breakfast?
Melody - I would like that.
James gives Melody a kiss and then goes down stairs. Melody sighs and begins to think about how she’s carrying twins and how much her life has changed in the past year since she started her life with James. She smiles and then goes down stairs. She goes into the kitchen and wraps her arms around James. James turns around and gives Melody a kiss.
James - I love you baby.
Melody - I love you too.
James - Here sweetie here’s a smoothie for you.
Melody - Aww, thanks babe
Melody takes her smoothie and goes over to the couch. James takes his smoothie and joins her. As they’re drinking their smoothies James notices that Melody has some smoothie on her lips. He decides to kiss it off with his lips. Melody sighs as James kisses her lips. James pulls Melody close to him. Melody lays her head on James’s chest. James wraps his arm around her.
James - You know babe we never got to celebrate my birthday last month.
Melody - I know we didn’t and I feel horrible about that. I’ll make it up to you I promise.
James - You don’t have to do that.
Melody - I know but I want to. Why don’t you got out and workout or something?
James - Well ok
James get up from the couch and goes up stairs to put on some workout clothes. He comes back down stairs. He gives Melody a kiss and tells her he’ll be home in a few hours. James leaves when Melody calls her sister, Christian, James’s mom, and Leslie asking them how fast they can get to Nashville. Everyone calls Melody back and tells her they can be there later today. A few hours pass and everyone shows up. Melody tells everyone to come into the living room.
Elyse - What’s this all about sis?
Melody - We never got to celebrate James’s birthday last month and I feel horrible about it.
Deborah - So you want to make up for it by celebrating it tonight?
Christian - (Laughs) So how did you get him to leave?
Melody - I told him to go work out for a couple hours while we get things ready.
Deborah - I can make him his favorite birthday meal and cake.
Melody - That would be great. The rest of us will decorate the house.
Melody, Elyse, Christian, and Leslie decorate the house while James’s mom makes his favorite birthday dinner and birthday cake. Melody wraps a birthday present for James. She calls him and tells him to come home. A little while later James comes home. He sees all the lights turned off. He opens the door when everyone jumps out yells “SURPRISE!!” James smiles when he sees what Melody pulled off. The get together lasts for a few hours. Everyone leaves and go their separate ways. James and Melody start cuddling on the couch while James opens his birthday present. James smiles when he sees a hoodie from his favorite store in Pittsburgh. He gives her a kiss.
James - Thank you for everything tonight.
Melody - I have one more surprise for you.
James - What’s that?
Melody - Just wait here and I’ll be right back.
Melody goes up stairs. She goes into her and James’s bedroom. She puts on her red leopard print bra and panty set and her black robe. She goes back down stairs and sits on couch beside James. James grabs Melody’s arm and pulls her close to him. They begin looking into each others eyes and begin to kiss very passionately. They continue to kiss when James removes Melody’s bathrobe.
James - Damn, you are so sexy baby.
Melody - (Sighs) Oh James do you really think that about me?
James - Of course I do. My heart skips a beat when I’m near you.
Melody - Even with my less then perfect body?
James - Baby, your curves are sexy and you don’t have to have the perfect body for me to love you. You’re sexy just the way you are.
Melody - That’s so sweet and it means a lot that it doesn’t bother you that I’m not a model.
James - You’re prefect just the way you are.
Melody - Aww, that is so sweet James.
James - I mean it baby.
Melody - I love you James.

James then lays on top of Melody. They begin to kiss again and tearing each other clothes off. James starts kissing gently biting Melody’s neck again. She begins to moan when James starts kissing others parts of her body.

James - Thank you for making my birthday pretty great even though it was a month late.
Melody - You’re welcome sweetie.
James - Lets go to bed honey.
Melody - Sounds go to me.
They get dressed and then go up stairs. They get ready for bed and then lay down on the bed. Melody lays her head on James’s chest and goes right to sleep. James smiles when gives her a kiss and wraps his arm around her. He’s asleep a short time later until the next morning. A week passes and it’s now the week of Halloween.
Doctor Jade - Everything looks good in there. It appears your twins are really two girls.
