James and Melody wake up early so that Melody can make James something to eat before leaving on a 2 game road trip. Deter is in the play pen that Melody has set up in the living room. Melody has made scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon. James sets the table. Melody dishes up breakfast for the two of them. She sits next to James. As they’re eating James takes a hold of Melody’s hand and tells her how much he loves her and how much he’s going to miss her. They finish breakfast. James helps Melody pick up the table. He gets ready to leave. Melody picks up Deter and decides to walk James to his car.

James - I’m going to miss you two so much. I love you two so much.
Melody - And we’re going to miss you too. I love you so much James.
James - (Places his hand on Melody’s growing belly) Ok you two behave for your momma. She needs to rest so no moving around all night. Alright I should get going.
Melody - Ok, you’ll call me when you get to Columbus, right?
James - Of course I will. I love you Mel.
Melody - I love you too James.

James wraps his arms around Melody giving her a hug and kiss. James kisses Deter on the forehead.

James - I love you little man. You behave for your momma, ok?

James throws his bag in the backseat of his car. He gets in his car and then heads to the airport. Just as James leaves Deter starts crying and becoming fussy.

Melody - Aww, sweetie, don’t cry. Daddy will be home in a few days. Come on lets go get you a bottle.

Melody takes Deter inside. She warms up a bottle for him. She sits in the rocking chair and starts rocking as she’s feeding him. She starts singing softly to him hoping he goes to sleep. She sets up the portable crib in the living room. She puts Deter in the crib. She runs upstairs and grabs one of Deter’s stuffed animals. She goes into her and James’s bathroom. She finds a bottle of James’s body spray and sprays it on the stuffed animal. She goes back down stairs and puts the stuffed animal in the crib. Deter crawls over to it and lays down next to it and goes right to sleep. Melody decides to curl up on the couch and take a nap too. She’s asleep until later that night when James calls.

James - Hey baby
Melody - It’s so nice to hear your voice.
James - I hope I didn‘t wake you.
Melody - No, babe you didn‘t wake me.
James - How are you feeling?
Melody - I’m ok other then my headache comes and goes.
James - Then go back to sleep baby.
Melody - I think I will.
James - I miss you so much right now honey and I can’t stop thinking about you.
Melody - I’m laying on the couch right now wishing you were here next to me.
James - I wish I was there too.
Melody - What would you be doing to me if you were here next to me?
James - Oh baby I would be kissing every inch of your sexy body.
Melody - Oh James, you have no idea how much I want to be with you right now.
James - Of course I do cuz I want to be with you too.
Melody - (Sighs) Oh James I love you.
James - I love you too.
Melody - I miss you and wish you were here so we could make love to one another.
James - (Sighs) I want that too. I have to head to a team dinner. I’ll call you tomorrow.
Melody - Ok night James
James - Night baby
Melody - James?
James - Yeah baby?

James and Melody hang up. Melody grabs Deter and takes him up to his nursery. She puts him in his crib and kisses him on the forehead. She tells him how much she loves him. She goes into her and James’s bedroom. She lays down on the bed and sighs cuz she wants so much to be with James. She gets up and puts on one of James’s t-shirts to sleep in. She lays back down on the bed and tries to fall asleep but she can’t. She sighs again and then starts cry cuz she wants to be with James so bad. She gets up again and grabs the stuffed snow leopard James got for her. She gets back in bed and this time falls asleep until the next morning. She wakes up and goes into Deter’s nursery. She takes him down stairs. She goes into the kitchen to warm up a bottle for Deter. She puts him in the crib and he goes right back to sleep. She curls up on the couch and smiles when she sees a text from James that says, “I miss your cuddles, I miss your kisses, but most of all I miss you baby. I love you. I will call you tonight my love.” She sends James a text telling him that she loves and misses him too. Her cell rings and she smiles cuz she thinks it’s James calling.

Elyse - Aww, I’m not the one you were expecting to be calling. Was I?
Melody - I was hoping it was going to be James.
Elyse - Aww, did he leave?
Melody - He went on a road trip for a few days.
Elyse - Aww, missing him?
Melody - Yeah I am. I wish it was tonight so I can hear his voice.
Elyse - Aww, you should video chat.
Melody - We’re going to cuz Deter is missing him too. He was so fussy yesterday.
Elyse - Aww, I’m sure he’s missing his daddy.
Melody - He started crying as soon as James left.
Elyse - Aww, poor sweetie. What you could do is take one of his stuffed animals and spray James’s body spray on it so it smells like James.
Melody - I did that. He seems to be happier now.
Elyse - Aww, he sure loves his daddy.
Melody - He did even before he was born.
Elyse - What do you mean?
Melody - When James and I were first dating one night we were cuddling and Deter was kicking when he heard James talking to me.
Elyse - Aww, I guess he knew James was going to be in your life.
Melody - I always thought that he considered James his daddy even though we thought that he wasn’t at the time.
Elyse - You sound exhausted hon. Go take a nap.
Melody I think I will since Deter is napping.
Elyse - I’ll call you tomorrow to see how you’re doing.
Melody - Ok

They hang up. Melody covers herself with the blanket that is on the couch. She is asleep a short time later until later that night. She goes into the kitchen to fix herself something to eat before James’s game comes on. She eats quick and then curls up on the couch to watch James’s game against Columbus. Through the first two periods and most of third period it’s scoreless. With about 2 minutes left in the game James gets behind the Blue Jackets’s defensemen and has a break away. He puts put right over the goalie’s shoulder and scores. James’s goal is the only goal in the game. Melody smiles and then waits for him to call her. A little while later her tablet goes off. James is calling to video chat.

Melody - I really miss you James.
James - I know you do cuz I miss you too.
Melody - When are you going to be home?
James - Hopefully by the weekend.
Melody - That’ll seem like forever.
James - I know it will but we can talk like this every night till then if you want to.
Melody - I would like that very much.

Just then they hear Deter cooing cuz he can hear the sound of James’s voice.

James - You think I could say good night to our son?
Melody - Of course you can sweetie. (Turns the volume up on her tablet so Deter can hear James better)
James - Hey there little man. Daddy loves you so much.
Melody - You are so amazing cuz he just went to sleep.
James - Anything to make things easier for you till I come home. Why don’t you go to bed too honey?
Melody - I think I will.
James - I will call you tomorrow, ok?
Melody - I would like that very much.
James - Night honey
Melody - Night sweetie
James - I love you.
Melody - I love you too.

James and Melody hang up. Melody sighs cuz she misses James and wants to be with him. She grabs Deter and takes him up stairs. She gives her a bed time bottle. She sits in the rocking chair gently rocking Deter hoping he goes to sleep. Deter falls asleep. She puts Deter in his crib and then goes back into her and James’s bedroom. She finds a t-shirt of James’s. She get into bed and falls asleep a little while later clutching James’s t-shirt in her hands until she’s woken up by Deter crying later the next morning. She goes into the nursery and gives Deter his morning bottle. She has such a horrible headache she just goes back to bed for awhile. She has her cell near by just in case James were to call her or send her a text. She sleeps for a few hours and smiles when she sees a text from James that says, “Couldn’t sleep last night. I miss you so much. Seems like these days are going forever. I want to see you so bad. I love you so much baby. I will call you tonight.” She sends James a text back saying that she misses and loves him too. She goes back to sleep until later that night when she is woken up by her tablet going off. It’s James calling her.

James - Hey baby. I hope I didn’t wake you.
Melody - No, you didn’t.
James - Ok good cuz I know you haven’t been sleeping well lately.
Melody - I hope it was ok that I slept with one of your t-shirts last night.
James - Missing me that much babe?
Melody - Of course I am. I want to be there with you James.
James - I know you do honey cuz I want you here laying on my bed next to me right now.
Melody - I wish I could be there cuddling with you right now. That’s why I was clutching one of your t-shirts last night. So that I had something that smelled like you near me.
James - I may have stole one of your stuffed animals so I did the same thing.
Melody - Aww
James - I miss you and want to be with you baby. I love you so much honey.
Melody - I miss and love you too James. I have a surprise for you when you come home.
James - And I can’t wait to see it.
Melody - I’ve thought of a couple names for our little girls.
James - What are they baby?
Melody - Sophia Isabella and Zelda Kayleigh.
James - Wow, both names are great.
Melody - I was hoping you would like them.
James - I love them. You should go eat something honey.
Melody - I know I should.
James - Could I say good night to Deter?
Melody - Of course you can.

Melody goes into the nursery so James can say good night to Deter. She turns her tablet so James can see Deter.

James - Hey little man. Daddy loves you so much. I miss you and Mommy so much. I will be home. (He sees Melody smiling and crying) Hey baby what’s wrong?
Melody - Just seeing how sweet you are with our son.
James - I guess I’ve gone a little soft since he came into my life.
Melody - Aww, but I still love you James.
James - I love you too baby.
Melody - I’m going to go eat something and then head to bed.
James - Ok, I’ll call you tomorrow.
Melody - Ok, night sweetie
James - Night baby, I love you.
Melody - I love you too.

James and Melody hang up. Melody gives Deter a kiss and then quietly goes down stairs to have something to eat. She makes her some chicken soup to eat. She eats her soup and the curls up on the couch and plays Zelda for a little while until she gets tired and heads to bed. She goes into Deter’s nursery. She gives him a bed time bottle. She sits in the rocking chair gently rocking Deter hoping he goes to sleep. Deter falls asleep. She puts Deter in his crib and then goes back into her and James’s bedroom. She lays down on the bed and is asleep a short time later. In the middle of the night the twins start moving around all night, which causes Melody not to sleep very well. She sleeps nearly all day and misses James’s game, which is a good thing cuz James got into a fight and ended up with a cut on his cheek and a black eye. By the time James comes home it’s very late and Melody is already in bed. James comes up stairs and quietly gets ready for bed. He lays down next to Melody. He wraps his arms around her and is asleep till the next morning. Melody wakes up and turns over so that she’s facing James. She then sees what a mess his face is.

Melody - Oh my god James. What happened to your face?
James - I got into a fight in the game yesterday.
Melody - I’ll go get you some ice for that black eye.
James - You don’t have to do that.
Melody - I know but I want to.

Melody goes down stairs to get James and ice pack for his black eye. She wraps it in a towel and then goes back up stairs. She gives James the ice pack. She then puts on a naughty nurse outfit and then lays on the bed next to James.

James - Wow, who are you are you and what have you done with my wife?
Melody - Like your surprise?
James - You bet I do.
Melody - I’m going to take care of you till your black eye is healed.
James - Do you know what I want right now?
Melody - I think I have a pretty good idea.

James grabs Melody’s arm and pulls her close to him. They begin looking into each others eyes and begin to kiss very passionately. They continue to kiss when James runs his hand over Melody’s body.

James - Damn, you are so sexy baby.
Melody - (Sighs) Oh James do you really think that about me?
James - Of course I do. My heart skips a beat when I’m near you.
Melody - Even with my less then perfect body?
James - Baby, your curves are sexy and you don’t have to have the perfect body for me to love you. You’re sexy just the way you are.
Melody - That’s so sweet and it means a lot that it doesn’t bother you that I’m not a model.
James - You’re prefect just the way you are.
Melody - Aww, that is so sweet James.

Melody - I love you James.

James then lays on top of Melody. They begin to kiss again and tearing each other clothes off. James starts kissing gently biting Melody’s neck again. She begins to moan when James starts kissing others parts of her body.

Melody lays her head on James’s chest and goes right to sleep. James smiles when gives her a kiss and wraps his arm around her. He’s asleep a short time later until later that afternoon. A month passes. It’s now Valentines Day.
