Chapter 15
Shortly after the girls were born, the nurses said they would not be able to leave. I was disappointing, since we were told they would be able to.
The girls were in the hospital for just about 3 months, and they didn't grow to much, but it was finally time they come home.
"Are you exited" Sid said.
"No, not at all" I said sarcastically.
"Well, we are here"! He said.
"I got the carseats, can you grab the bag from my trunk"I said.
"Sure, I will grab Sadies carseat too though, they are not light" He said.
"Thank you"I kissed him on the cheek.
When we got up to the nursery, we got them changed, and Sid got them into their car seats.
"Hey Babe, since Beau, James, and Kris didn't get to see them yet, you mind if they come over" Sid asked.
"of course" I said.
"Thanks" He said.
"Hey, do you mind helping me, I still am not 100% strong yet, and my back hurts, but can you get them into the car, I will do it next time" I asked.
"Im on it" He smiled.
On our way home, Lacey fell asleep, but woke up from Sadie screaming.
"Oh Sid, I gotta break it to ya, I don't think she will be a hockey player, maybe a singer, she got da lungs" I said laughing for no reason.
"Why are you laughing, when you have screaming kids in the back"? He said.
"Sorry" I said.
"It is fine" He said.
"Sid your phone is ringing it's, oh it is Brook" I said.
"Yeah, put it on speaker, then you can hear her to"He said.
"Brook, what's up"? Sid asked.
"Hey Sid, what time are you comming by, a few friends are over too"? She asked.
I gave Sid a 'what are you doing' look.
"Oh, I don't know, I'll text you, but I have to go, bye" He said.
"What are you doing Sid" I said.
"Going to hang out with some friends, is that alright"? He asked.
"Whatever, leave me home alone with screaming babies, that is just fine" I said.
"Take me to my Vero's" I said.
"Leah, you don't have to go, I can stay if you wan't" He said.
"No, you obviously want to see Brook, take me to Vero's" I shouted.
"Why are you acting so jealous"? He said.
"I am not, I am just upset because we are just bringing our kids home, and you won't be there"! I yelled.
"I was not going to see her, some old friends are in town, and I want to see them"! He yelled back.
"Stop, I am tired of fighting, you know how many pictures of you two that are all over the news, and magazines, why do I believe you" I yelled back, tears forming in my eyes.
"Leah, I didn't mean too, I am sorry" He said.
"Just let me out of the fucking car"! I yelled.
"Ok, well I can come back to pick you up" He said.
"No, I can get a ride, just give me a second, I need to get the car seats" I said.
When I got to the door, Sid had pulled out of the driveway, and I knocked out of the door, but there was no answer, I then rang the doorbell, still no answer. It then started pouring rain, and then thunder came. I took my phone and called Vero, she said she would be home in a couple minutes, but I didn't tell her that I was here.
I took off my jackets and put them over the girls so they don't get sick, but they were asleep. A few minutes later I heard the door open and Marc came out.
"Leah, I fell asleep, I didn't know you were comming, how long have you been here, come in, I bet you are freezing" He said grabbing Sadie.
"I was only here about an hour, no biggie" I said.
"Were is Sid"? He asked.
I just looked to the ground and played with my fingernails.
"Leah, were is he"! He said louder.
"He is hanging out with Brook" I stuttered, tears streaming down my face.
"That prick" He yelled.
"Do you think he is cheating" I said looking up.
"Leah"
"Answer me"
"I don't know" Is all he said.
"Lets go, we are going to find out" I picked up the girls.
"Ok" give me the car seats, I will put them in" He said.
We got into the car and it took about 20 minutes until we pulled up to her house. I seen her and Sid laughing and fooling around in the kitchen. Before anything, I saw her lips crash onto his.
"Drive" I said.
"No" He hopped out of the car and barged into her house. I jumped out of the car too, and carried the girls without there carseat.
"Leah, I am Brook, it is so good to finally meet you, Sid is one lucky guy" She said.
I smiled, I could not even speak.
"There's my girls" Sid said comming out of the bedroom.
"we need to talk" I said.
"Ya, let's go out front". He said.
"Leah, I know what you are going to say, she kissed me, I didn't kiss her back, and my friends are just late" He said.
"We are done" I spoke softly.
"Leah no, we just had kids together, we can't be done, I love you, and I know you feel the same way" He said.
"No! You are always with Brook, and barely at home, we fight constantly, Olivia had to go live with my mom because she had nightmares of us fighting, get the fucking point, I am leaving"! I said.
"Leah" Brook said coming out of the house.
"Hm" I said.
"It was my fault that I kissed Sid, I shouldn't have, just the thought that you have 2 healthy baby girls, and we miscarried, I just wasn't thinking" She said.
"Miscarried" I asked.
"Yeah, a few weeks before you guys met, I had a miscarriage, with twins too.
"I am so sorry, I didn't know" I looked at Sid who was staring at me.
"Leah, please, don't leave" He said softly.
"I am sorry, it is just whats best, I will be back tomorrow to grab some stuff" I said turning to walk away.
"No, you are not leaving, you can't" He said grabbing my wrists.
"Sid" I said.
"No, you say you don't want to get hurt, and I won't let you"!
"You say you don't want me getting hurt, but what do you think you are doing now" I whispered.
"Leah, please don't do this, do you wan't to know the truth" He said.
"So you have been lying to me" I said.
"No, I was going to propose actually, Brook is a wedding planner, I thought she could help ok, don't leave, I am begging you" He said.
"Sid, I am so sorry, I just need a bit of time, Marc offered me to stay with him, they got a spare bedroom, and then we can talk in a few days, good-bye Sid".
"Leah"!
"Sid, you had your shot, and you missed it, just let her go, I will take care of her" I heard Marc say.
"Marc, can we go"? I asked and he nodded.
"Good-bye Sid" I said.
"I need to get home Brook, thank you for the help" He said.
"Of course, and really, I am so sorry" She said.
