A Part of Me

Kylies pov:
I was just waiting for my babysitter to show up and I was ready to go. I put loose curls in my hair and only concealer and mascara and a light shade of pink lip gloss. I told Sidney to wear jeans because I wanted to take him on a trail ride. I just got a new horse shelter and riding arena with 250 acres of land to go on a trail ride. I used to barrel race in rodeos but since I had Olivia I hadn't really had time.

The babysitter showed up at about 1:45 so i had to rush out the door.

When I arrived at the Cafe is was 2:04, and I saw Sid sitting at a table and went and sat down. "Leah, it's great to see you" he said and I replied "yes, i am exited for today. "So, what do you have planned after this, I have the hole day off. "Well, you will just have to wait and see won't ya. "Oh, fiesty too, i like it" we both laughed until i spoke up.

"I don't know if this is gonna be a dealbreaker but i have to tell you something and I get it if you just walk off on me"

"Its ok, throw it at me"

"well i cant really throw her at you"

"I'm sorry, Her"?

"yes, that is what i was getting at, i have a daughter and she is 2, from my previous boyfriend. We were engaged and it was 1 week before the wedding, I told him I was pregnant and he left and we never spoke since.

"Really, that is awsome, what's her name"?

"Wait Sid, so your not angry, and her names Olivia"

"Of course im not angry, it was unexpected, but no, im not angry, in fact, I wanna meet her.

"wow, ok well after today you can see her if you want"

"sounds great Leah"

We finished dinner and it was time to go to the barn. Sid came with me since he didn't know where we were going and how to get there.

"Ok, we are here"

"are we going on a trail ride"? he asked excitedly.

"ya, good your exited, I own all the land and horses so we can go to the barn and pick what horses we wanna ride"

"This is exiting, but I want this one" he said pointing towards my all black gelding.

"Ok, thats Charger, one of my old barrel horses"

"Did you just say barrel horse, you used to barrel race"?

"Yeah, until i had Olivia, we won almost every rodeo together".

"well, i wanna see you go for a round"

"well, im gonna have to borrow Charger for a minute then"

"deal" he said as we both laughed.

"ok, can you grab that black saddle pad, and then get the saddle with blue crosses on it"

"holy crap, that is one blingy saddle" he said laughing

"yeah, I won it in the last rodeo went to" I said sad that i don't rodeo anymore.

"you know what Leah, you can ride Charger, I'll take this one"

"Oh, Prince, ya he is my back-up barrel horse so if Charger gets hurt"

"So Leah, what equitment do you use for Prince" Sid asked as i was putting on Chargers bridle"

"Oh, there is a grey saddle pad behind you, and for the saddle, its the one on the bottom rack"

"Holy shit" I heard as i saw Sid pick the saddle up "this one is fucking heavy"

"Yeah, that is a team roping saddle, there usually heavy but this is a barrel saddle and they have to be light" I said as i watched Sid tack up Prince.

"You know you have to turn the saddle the other way so the horn is facing the front" i said laughing my head off.

"Oh crap, I didn't even notice" he said now laughing as well"

"there now tighten the cinch" i said as i finished tacking up on charger.

"i think i'm set Leah" he said while petting Prince.

"you might be but I have to change" I said and he nodded.


I came back out and we both hopped up on our horses. "Follow me to the arena Sid" I looked back and he nodded his head.


Sid's pov:
This girl is driving me nuts. She has everything, the looks, a daughter, and her horses. I love her already.
We just got into the arena and she is putting the barrels up, i never really watched a rodeo before but i have had family that owned horses and I went riding quite a bit.

"Are you ready" she asked as I nodded my head

I watched her as she turned the first barrel and it was amazing, as she made her way to second, i can see how much she loved barrel racing, and just because she has a child, doesn't mean she has to quit what she loves. She mad her way around the last barrel and she had the biggest smile on her face.

"That was fucking amazing" I said as she trotted over to me.

"you better not talk like that around my daughter" she smirked as i shook my head.

"are you ready to head out on the trail" I asked as she nodded my head.

For the next few hours we just talked about random stuff until my phone started ringing. It was Brook my Ex. I answed the phone and gave Leah the finger saying 1 minute as i walked away to talk in private.

"Hey brook, how are you doing"

"Im fine, but i wanted to talk"

"ok, well im listening"

"I really miss you, and i was just wondering is we could meet"

Oh this is gonna be bad, real bad, is all i thought.
