A Part of Me

Leah:
It has been 2 months since the incident at the arena, and I am going down to see if they caught the right guy. Since the boys have practice, Vero is coming with me.

"You must me Leah, I am officer Dawson, if you could just follow me back into this room, we have caught 1 possible suspect" He says walking to the room. As I walk into the room and look at the guy sitting in the chair, I freak.

"Jake"! I yell.

"Ma'am, is this the guy"? He says and I nodded.

"I need to get out of here, I can't stand being near him"I said walking out the door.

"Leah, are you ok" Vero said running up behind me.

"Yeah,Oh shit" I said puking.

"Is that from seeing Jake, or your personal life with Sid"? She asked folding her arms.

"Oh no, Sid is gonna kill me"! I said.

"How do you know for sure Leah"? She asked.

"Uh, I don't" I said.

"Well, off to my house we go, I have alot of that shit" She said getting into the car.

"When are the boys done practice"? I said.

"In about 30 minutes" She said pulling into her driveway.

"what if it is positive" I ask.

"Then we celebrate"! She squealed.

"Here goes nothing" I said walking into the bathroom.

Waiting that 5 minutes felt like waiting for hours.

"Vero" I said walking out.

"You are kidding" She said.

"Nope, 100% positive" I said plopping down on the couch.

"It will be fine" She said sitting beside me.

"I am not telling him" I said with tears streaming down my face.

"Leah, you have to, I made that mistake once, I am not putting Sid through that" She said.

"I am scared" I said.

"Hey Vero, oh Leah, what's wrong"? Marc said coming in the living room.

"I- I am" I couldn't even say it.

"She is pregnant" Vero said standing up.

"Oh wow. well whats the problem then"? He asked.

"I am scared to tell Sid" I said.

"Sooner rather than later, I am telling you" Vero said walking out of the room.

"Well, I better get going then, tell Vero thanks" I said walking out the door.

I went and got the girls from my mom's, then I was on my way home.

"Hey, how did the thing go today" Sid asked.

"I need to tell you something, please don't be mad though" I said bringing the girls carseats into the living room.

"What" He said quickly.

"I, you know what, I can't, I just can't" I said walking into the bedroom.

"Leah, what did you do" He asked coming into the room.

"Oh my god" I said running into the bathroom.

"Are you ok" He said running into the bathroom behind me.

"No, I'm pregnant ok"! I said.

"No" He said "You are kidding" He said standing up.

"Nope, look" I said showing him the little pink+ sign.

"This is amazing, maybe we will get a boy this time" He said sarcastically.

"What, Sadie and Lacey aren't good enough for you"? I asked walking back into the living room and picking the screaming kids up.

"No, they are great, but I think it is every hockey players dream to have a boy" He said taking Sadie from me.

"Yeah, I want one to, but what if it's not" I asked jumping Lacey up and down on my knees.

"That is going to be a lot of girls" He laughed.

"If she would be anything like Sadie, that would be bad" I said.

"Seriously, Why" He asked.

"She is a screamer, and a drama queen, taking over me though" I said.

"No, you are not a drama queen, you are perfect" He said.

"Still, I love her to death though" I said.

"Wouldn't everyone"? I asked.

"I guess, are you going to come to the game tonight" He asked.

"Hopefully, Were did Olivia go"? I asked.

"Right here" She said sitting right under me playing.

"I didn't even see you there" I said.

"Can I play with the babies"? She asked sitting beside me.

"I guess, lets go over to there blanket though" I said walking over.

"I want Sadie too"! She said at Sidney.

"Ok, lets go play" He said walking over to.

"Look at them, there amazing" I said sitting down on Sid's lap.

"I am the luckiest man alive" He said.

"Am I to heavy for you, I can move" I said.

"God no, you weigh like a pound"! He laughed.

"Tell me that in like 7 months" I said getting off of him to make some bottles.

"NOOO, come back" He whined.

"No, I have to make lunch" I said laughing.

As I was cutting up some fruit, I heard Sid call me.

"What" I asked.

"Look at Lacey" He said.

"No, my baby"! I said watching Olivia help her crawl, it was cute.

"It is ok, we have another on the way"! He said.

"She is still my baby"! I said.

"ada" Sadie said sitting, which he has been doing for about a month.

"Did you hear that" I asked.

"Hear what"? He said picking her up.

"Sadie" I called and she looked at me.

"Adda" She said.

"Holy shit"! Sid said.

"All in 2 minutes, one can talk, and one can crawl" I said.

"You are right, they grow up to fast" He said.

"Olivia, come here for a second" I said and she stood up and ran over to me.

"Look at her go, you taught her how to crawl" I said and she laughed.

"No, I help, she do most work" I said.

"I think we need a bigger house now" Sid laughed.

"Seriously"? I said.

"It is true, we need a bigger one" He said.

"I don't think you can find a bigger house" I said shaking my head.

As we were watching Lacey crawl, and Sadie talking, there was a knock on the door.

"I got it" I said getting up to answer the door.

"Hey Geno"! I said seeing him standing there.

"Hey, this is my girlfriend Anna" He said as I shook her hand.

"Hi, I am Leah, it is great to meet you"

"You too" I said.

"Well, come on in" I said moving out of the doorway.

"Geno"? Olivia asked.

"I over here Olivia"! He said taking his shoes off.

"Oh" She said seeing his girlfriend.

"Olivia, this is his girlfriend Anna" I said.

"I going back to play" She said walking back into the living room.

"What I do"? Geno asked.

'"nothing, she is playing with Lacey" I said.

"Lacey is right there"? He said as I watched her crawling over.

"Oh, then Sadie" I said.

"She right there though"? He said pointing to Sadie walking over with Sid.

"Hey, were is Olivia"? I asked.

"She said she was gonna go play in her bedroom"? He said.

"Hey, take Lacey" I said handing her to Geno.

"Olivia"? I said walking into her room.

"Geno has new friend now" She said sitting on her bed.

"But you are his best friend, remember" I said.

"But that is his new best friend" She said.

"Olivia" I said, it was so sad the way she was crying.

"I can find another best friend I guess" She said making my heart melt.

"Do you wanna go hang out with him, I ma sure he would like to play with you" I said.

"No, I just play in here" She said.

"You are still his best friend you know" I said walking into the living room.

"Where Olivia" Geno asked.

"She thinks you replaced her with a new best friend" I said sitting down and taking Lacey from him.

"Hey, I bonding with her" He said.

"Well, right now you are going to go bond with Olivia" I said as he got up and walked to her room.

"I am sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen" Anna said.

"Oh no, its not your fault at all"I said.

"Are you sure" She said.

"Yeah,but looks like you have a new best friend" I said as Lacey crawled over to her and was playing with her.

"They are so cute" She said pinching her cheek.

"Any luck" I said as Geno walked into the room.

"No, she don't like me" He said sitting beside Anna.

"Give her time" I said going into the kitchen.

"Hey, what's up with Olivia" Sid asked.

"She is sad that Geno has got a new best friend, she is crying in her room, it is sad"I said.

"No, I right here" She said walking into the kitchen.

"Come in living room with me" Sid said picking her up and grabbing my hand.

"there she is" Geno said.

"Why don't you wanna see Geno" Sid asked.

"He got new best friend" She said crawling onto my stomach.

"Olivia, careful"! Sid yelled.

"Uh, Sid" I said.

I saw Anna give Geno a weird look and he just shrugged.

"Well, do you guys wanna stay for supper"? I asked.

"No, it is ok, you have alot of stuff to do I bet" Geno said.

"No, seriously stay, you are" I said going to the garage to get some food for supper.

"Leah, I didn't mean to shout out there, I am sorry"

"It is fine, there probably wondering what is going on" I said.

"we'll lets just go tell them" He said.

"Hey guys, you were probraly wondering why I yelled at Olivia, that's becasue Leah is expecting again" Sid said.

"Oh wow, congrats" They said hugging her.

"Baby number 4, you look great" Anna said.

"Thank you, I should probraly go start on supper though" I said.

"I can help if you would like" She said.

"Actually, that would be great, we can let the boys catch up" I said as we walked into the kitchen.

"So what should I do" She asked.

"There is a recipe for a salad dressing under in the counter there, it is pretty easy and all of the stuff to make it is in the fridge or in the cubord above the stove" I said.

"for sure" she said.

For supper we had mad some grilled chicken and rice, and then after we watched tv, and I was in the bathroom half of the night. 7 months to go, I did it before.
