Evelyna’s POV

The girls were out searching for Halloween costumes, Kylie was first, after all she was hosting and was the one behind the whole idea of having a Halloween Party. They took turns helping one another find the perfect outfit. Though I didn't show it, I was still upset and distracted with Val. I kept texting him and glancing at my phone, not really paying much attention or caring. No body seemed to mind as long as I wasn’t completely wrecked and whining.

Right now, Kylie stood in front of them her hair up and the white gown off her shoulder. It was mid length dress, which ran down to her knees, though the girls planned on fixing them up later whatever the costume was.

"Kylie the costume would look great! Especially if you have your hair down." Melissa exclaimed. I nodded my agreement. Kylie shrugged and put the costume in the 'Maybe pile'.

After escaping within the change room again Kylie came back out in a playboy uniform. The white bunny ears and white tail the black heart chested suit with the white cuffs and bow tie, and thigh length stalkings.

"Or, you could go like that and make nose bleeds," I complimented, laughing.

Kylie giggled. "This one it is."

I glanced to Caitlyn, who looked worried and I could read it right off her face. She was naturally shy and kept to herself, but you didn't have to be close to know Caitlyn was nervous. I held her hand, smiling at her. Caitlyn looked at me and smiled back.

"Don't worry I know what you’re thinking, and I have a good costume idea for you!"

Caitlyn gave a thankful smile as I let her hand go. Kylie was finished, stating that she had chosen the playboy outfit.

Kaitlyn stood up. "Alright Kylie; the almighty fashion girl. What should I wear?"

"Well are you going for sexy, like me, or cute like Caitlyn and Evelyna?"

I glanced up. "Huh, I'm doing cute?"

Kylie laughed. "Yeah what else? You can't do sexy."

I crossed my arms playfully in fake hurt, but in reality it hurt a lot more. This Caitlyn noticed, but didn't say anything.

"I'm going for sexy." Kaitlyn smirked.

"I'm thinking rocker," Kylie offered.

I added my opinion on, "You can get away with a lot, I'd say rocker like Kylie said, cop, or Gothic school girl with a gun."

We all laughed. Kaitlyn grabbed all the called out costumes and tried each one. The rocker got more votes and I was included. The uniform consisted of a belly top that just covered the chest a very small 'V' showing slight cleavage but also hidden with fishnet it was black and red. She had bracelets and spiked collar with a small rope attached but so it wasn't loose it clipped to her belt which was studded slanted on the mini pleated skirt that had rips. Underneath were short shorts. Her legs had accessories that included fish netting and stiletto ankle high boots.

Caitlyn blushed at her outfit and I hooted, making us all laugh.

"Brad won't be closing his eyes," Kylie interjected causing us all to laugh.

Kaitlyn smirked, "He'd better not."

"G-guys I wanna try something...sexy, but that suits me," Melissa spoke.

We were all shocked. I saw it earlier; the perfect costume, but figured Melissa would not take it. I grabbed her hand and ran to the hook where I had seen it. The girls exchanged looks as I left and returned with a costume in my hand. I passed it to her.

"This! You have to wear this!" I exclaimed.

Melissa walked into the changing room and when she came back out, all our jaws dropped. She looked rather amazing in it.

"Damn!" I nodded with a grin.

Melissa fidgeted, "A-are you sure?"

"Well, it will definitely get Tyler to stop and stare."

We giggled.

Melissa blushed. "H-how did you know?"

Kylie rolled her eyes. "It's as painfully obvious as who Caitlyn likes."

At this Caitlyn blushed and looked down at her feet. She stood there with her long pigtails that reached her shoulders with two crimson red ribbons. Melissa on the other hand, had a simple curl to her dark brown hair. Her costume was a small Chinese style dress that stopped mid-thigh with tiny slits at the sides the dress was silky red with a golden dragon on the side. The rim was a golden colour, a yellow bow was attached to the back hip with two tails reaching her knees. She had red kung-fu shoes that had a small yellow bow as well. Melissa blushed, not realizing her crush was so obvious. She was going to purchase it anyhow.

Kylie looked at Caitlyn with predatory eyes, as I said, "I already picked one out for Caitlyn...I owed her from yesterday."

Kylie sighed and pouted in defeat. Caitlyn took a deep breath of relief. I left and returned with a red package. Caitlyn took it warily. A few moments later she peered out from the curtain.

"Well?! Come out!" Kaitlyn coaxed.

Everyone “awed” at what I had picked out, which was a red riding hood uniform. Her hair was half covered with a red hood that made it only slightly visible. Her outfit was puffy, but not over the top. The dress was low cut, but hid her chest with the white poofed fabric underneath. Supporting that, was a dark brown corset a red skirt, which was just mid-thigh, but poofed out slightly. Thigh-high stockings and small boots reached down to her calves finished off the look with a small basket.

I was next, but Kylie picked it out for me and unfortunately the store was going to close, so I stepped out, not really liking the outfit.

"There! Just with the right make-up," Kylie offered, as I stood with a ringmaster-like look. I had a top hat that wasn't large enough to cover my whole head, but wasn't small enough to fit and small animal.

The tuxedo-like jacket was black at the shoulders and had brushes on them. It buttoned down to the waist, where it opened in the back for two triangular tails. I had dress pants and boots on.

"Uh Kylie...-" Kaitlyn started, obvious dislike for the outfit in her voice.

The announcer came over the intercom and announced, "The store is now closed. Please leave after purchasing your items."

I frowned and got undressed. While I did that, my friends quickly bought their outfits.

Melissa, Kylie, Kaitlyn and Caitlyn felt bad for me. "Evelyna, you’re going to have to buy it, the store is closed tomorrow."

I nodded, biting my lip as I purchased the costume. This one was going to be the worst out of anything I had ever worn. Last year, I wore a nurse outfit as a slight joke, it was really sexy but Kylie said that red, white and pink just clashed horribly and it made her think of Valentine’s Day. I exited out of the store with the hideous costume and saw Caitlyn.

"T-they all left," I nodded grimly and Caitlyn noticed.

"If you want we can fix it up, w-wasn't that what we were going to do anyways?" Caitlyn whispered, or at least what I thought was whispering.

I thought about it and then nodded. "Right, we could...though it'd be hard."

Caitlyn gave a shy smile, shuffling her feet. "No, I have an idea."


The next day, everyone else, but Caitlyn and I were on missions, giving us time to get the costume fixed. We laid it out on the bed and then I actually looked at the package. 'Males' I glared at Caitlyn, who pulled something from her bag.

"Here."

I looked at it; it was a strapless swimsuit. I looked to Caitlyn, who smiled. She had a bow tie and I watched as she stitched it on the top middle between where my breasts would be.

Next, Caitlyn tossed the pants away, making me laugh. She sewed the jacket making it slightly tighter and added bells to the end of the tails. Then Caitlyn added a large fake flower to the top hat and a flower to one short stiletto white boots she had brought over.

"Put it on,"

I nodded and got in the swimsuit first. It covered my whole butt and showed some cleavage it was very similar to Kylie's playboy swimsuit, but without the bunny tail and it was white.

She placed the jacket over and did the two buttons. The collar reached down making a large 'V' until it got to my stomach, where the two buttons held it. The jacket hugged my curves and the sleeves had white cuffs at the ends and the two triangular tails that hid my bottom and jingled when I moved. I placed the stiletto boots on. The boots had a yellow flower like my hat which was last, my crimson hair was sticking out, as I had the hat sitting on top of my head. It fit nicely.

I walked out and Caitlyn smiled. I smiled back at her. "Thanks Caitlyn, this just might shut Kylie up. You're really good." Caitlyn giggled and I changed back real quickly.

“Val would love it!” she remarked.

“Yeah...Val…” I spoke, blushing deep red at the thought out him and what his reaction might be. I wondered what he was doing with Halloween?


The next night, the Halloween party was in half an hour. Caitlyn and I where getting ready. My hair was spiked upward and my “make-up” was pretty, long eyelashes and black eyeliner with a vertical line over each eye. My lipstick was red like Caitlyn's. I was about to add blush to Caitlyn, but decided she always blushed and didn’t need it. I grinned happily and Caitlyn grabbed her stick, the one the ringmasters usually had. I hugged Caitlyn.

We had long black cloaks on as we walked to Kylie's apartment upstairs. Caitlyn was worried about what people would think of her, but then again they always ignored her. She didn't want to be ignored, but she also didn't want too much attention. Before she knew it, she was fiddling with her fingers again.

I smiled. "Come on, I bet you Five candies Jordan is in his ramen outfit."

Caitlyn giggled. "I think he's in his fox suit."

I grinned and shook her hand. "The bet is on."

They ringed the doorbell and Jordan answered the door. He was in a fox outfit with a smug expression on his face. "Aw, damn you Jordy!"

He backed up. "I didn't do anything, I swear!"

"Yeah you did! You're wearing a fox outfit and not ramen."

Caitlyn giggled at Jordan's confused expression, as she walked in. Everyone was here including Kaitlyn's brother, who didn’t live at Northgate. I headed over and poked my roommate, Kaitlyn. "Hey, where's Kylie?"

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes. "Getting it on in her room."

I gave a slightly disgusted look, "Shouldn't she be hosting?"

Kaitlyn laughed. I glanced around the room and started laughing my head off. Caitlyn giggled slightly more lady-like, unlike me. But I couldn’t help it.

“It’s actually her roommate Priya, who is the one hosting. I found that out, when I arrived.”

“Oh,” I sighed and looked at Caitlyn, who was standing, awkwardly blushing and shuffling her feet in nervousness. I knew that none of us really did parties, which was great for our friendship and roommate matching, but we were also all a little adventurous and liked to try new things. So here we were at a Halloween party in my film friend’s place. I nodded and walked around, examining an outfit, grinning.

One of the other residents was dressed as a serial killer, with fake tattoo's and a chainsaw hanging on his back. He was supposed to be a psychotic killer, with bloodstains on his mouth.

"What about you guys? Your still in your cloaks," Kaitlyn stated.

I looked confused and looked myself over.

"Oh…yeah they're just comfortable." I laughed.

"HEY KYLIE EVERYONE'S HERE COME ON!" Priya whined.

I turned to Caitlyn. "I'll go get Kylie, tell Priya, Jordan and the others that she'll be out in a sec."

Caitlyn nodded, blushing though, and headed towards Priya and her group. Jordan was also there with her and they were laughing and sipping beers.

"I wonder if she notices how you keep sending her to him?" Kaitlyn stated, watching the blonde girl walk towards the fox and the “host.”

"Well if she does, we all know Jordan doesn't," Kaitlyn’s brother, Brian, laughed.

I began to head toward Kylie’s room. "Er...Evelyna?" A voice halted me. It was Kaitlyn.

I turned to her. "Yeah?"

"What if they're...you know?"

I shrugged. "To bad for them, but I won’t barge in, just pound the door."

Kaitlyn shook her head, as I carried on with my mission of getting my film friend. I pushed through the throngs of people gathered in my way, politely excusing myself in the process as I made my way to her room.

I heard Brian ask his sister, "So what are Caitlyn and Evelyna dressed up as anyways?"

"Caitlyn's little red riding hood-oh look!"

I looked up and saw that Jordan was taking the cloak off of Caitlyn and revealing the cute, but sexy, outfit. He held his nose and Caitlyn blushed. Kaitlyn and Brian laughed.

The serial killer resident was a little annoyed. “Isn't Halloween supposed to be scary?” he stated. I was sure, he felt out of place. Even today, where everyone dressed up as something scary, he still felt out of place.

"KYLIE! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE! WHAT KIND OF “HOST” ARE YOU? HAVE FUN TIME LATER!" I screamed, finally reaching her closed door to her room. A few snickers ran through the house. I walked back over toward the cluster of people, without my cloak and a few people's jaws dropped. I headed up to Kaitlyn, who was rather shocked.

"She's coming- what?"

"I thought you had that other costume."

I smiled. "Caitlyn fixed it, Kylie accidentally got a male's costume."

Kaitlyn grimaced, knowing this wasn't true, it was no accident ."Well sucks for her."

I nodded, still holding my smile. "Where's Melissa?"

"On the couch as Tyler defends anyone daring to near her." I laughed, trying to imagine that scene.

"Okay! First we're going to play a few games!" Kylie yelled from the entrance to her room. There was still chatter, "HEY! I SAID...where going to play games now." Kylie was in her playboy costume and Nikolai was a vampire just like every year...

Nikolai was the only part-Russian of the group. (He was born in Russia, but grew up in America, so he wasn’t necessarily bilingual.) Apparently he was a good friend of Kylie’s…but now was more than a friend. A friend with benefits. He glanced to me, his eyes widening slightly, but then looked away quickly before anyone noticed.

"Alright first we're going to be in groups, pranking the villagers, after we'll drink and dance and then after that we'll have a scavenger hunt same teams! And then T or D… then a costume contest! And feel free to drink and hang out or whatever!"

"Troublesome."

Kaitlyn grinned, giving a predatory look. She grabbed Jordan’s arm and exclaimed, "There's my partner."

I laughed. "Don't give him blood loss!"

"Get your partners!" Kylie cried.

I looked to Brian. "I would be your partner, I mean you are quite scary...but I pick Jonathan, I want to win the candy." With that I grabbed Jonathan the Serial Killer’s hand, laughing at Brian's angry face.

Patrick ran over, "Evelyna--"

I pointed to Jonathan, interrupting, "—Taken!"

He pouted and then looked to Brian.

"Oh, Brian!" I grinned at Kaitlyn's brother’s horrified look.

Caitlyn and Jordan walked over. "We're partners Eve!"

I smiled. "Nice, you two match."

Jordan looked confused, while Caitlyn blushed.

"Alright! Lets start!" Kylie exclaimed in the arms of Nikolai, the quarter-Russian.

I looked at Jonathan. "Lets go."

He glared at me. He didn't have a say in this one, I didn't even see if it was alright with him however, I didn't exactly give a damn. Jordan ran over, dragging a blushing Caitlyn with him. I grinned and shot a quick glimpse at Jonathan, his face was creepy with the scar on his jaw and the fake blood.

He looked down at me. I patted him on the shoulder. "Aw don't be mad now. This is the fun part, scaring the hell out of children." Truth was, I really wanted him to be Val, but he was the closest one to him. He had blue eyes and was often awkward…and he had Val’s height. But I really missed my baby Russian hockey player.

He raised an eyebrow at me, as I tugged on his arm. "Lets go, I just know Kaitlyn is forcing Brad to use his “special power”…" He followed me, with no real choice, as I was holding his hand. We bolted out the third floor apartment and darted down the stairs.

The scaring game took about ten minutes and Jonathan and I were exceptional at it. It was tons of fun too.

When that was over, we returned to the apartment and Idrank a couple drinks. Caitlyn had one, but she was still young and it didn’t taste that good to her. The two of us danced together. Everyone was paired, but us two. We didn’t mind though and when someone asked Caitlyn to dance, he was in a werewolf suit and she wasn’t interested.

I laughed, teasing, "I don't think little red should be with the bad wolf."

He grinned cleverly, but I left them alone to dance. That’s when I saw Melissa was dancing with Tyler Toffoli and I gave her a thumbs up. Melissa smiled to her, mouthing 'thank you' and I made her way to Kylie's balcony, where I sat down in one of the chairs and took in the cool outside air of “fall.”

Suddenly I felt another presence sit beside her. "Hey Jonathan."

"Hey."

I looked back at the full moon that was out. Thinking about all of my friends and eventually Val again, I decided to take my mind off them all. "Not going to dance?" I teased him. He glared at me and I laughed. "Why not? There's a lot of people here that want to dance with you, like Priya."

"No."

I shrugged.

"Why don't you dance?" He countered.

I crossed my arms. "Honestly, I don't want a random guy rubbing up against me.” I looked back out towards the moon. The light made my pale skin glow. My legs rested on the small table across from me.

Jonathan was in dark gray dress pants, a white dress shirt, with rolled up sleeves that were bloodied and ripped, with a gray vest over top. I noticed his stare and looked away blushing. I had to admit that he actually looked kind of cute and handsome.

"Eve-"

“I can’t! I can’t do this! Jonny, look you’re a great guy, but my heart is already taken.”

“What?” He looked taken aback and a little hurt.

I pulled my phone out and pressed the power button. I pulled up my photos and showed him my collection.

“Oh. Who is that?”

“A sweet hockey player.”

“Who?”

“Val. Valeri Nichushkin, a Dallas Star.”

So anyway, I was invited to a Halloween Costume party, but I wore a hockey player outfit instead. I went as Val. :) Anyway, me and my two roommates went, but we didn't stay long. We sort of hung out for 15-20 minutes and then left. There were a lot of drunk people and the space was small. And it was hot.
But, all of the costumes I used in this were real and people were dressed up in them. Also Kylie is NOT that rude and she wasn't exactly hosting, but she was the one who invited me and my two roommates. Melissa couldn't go, but I thought it would be funny if she had.
Sorry Jonathan, you just aren't Valeri Nichushkin enough for me though!

Next up: Halloween with Val (but he can't dress up for religious reasons...which is adorable!)
