My first trip was a success so far. All of the luggage was unpacked, the hotel had the right number of rooms, and everyone seemed happy with their sleeping arrangements. I reserved a whole floor for the guys including a room for me, some medical assistants, and the coaches.

I finally got all of the keys situated and grabbed my small Vera Bradley rolling suitcase to bring to my room- 305. The guys were 307-320. I rode up the elevator by myself because all of the guys were already in their rooms making dinner plans or ordering something. It was only 7:20 but I was exhausted and nothing sounded better than some fuzzy pajamas and peppermint tea- my favorite.

I clicked the key into the room and a green light flashed letting me open the door. The room was awesome, a big queen sized bed, a flat screen, and a view of Madison Square Garden. I walked over to the window and looked out for a couple of minutes. I brushed my hair and put it in a bun, brushed my teeth, took off my make-up, and put on my long awaited pajamas. No one was seeing me until tomorrow, at least I hope. I snuggled into bed and clicked Parks and Rec on netflix- I was half way through the episode when there was a knock on my door.

"Ugh," I rolled out of the bed, "Coming!" I ran over to the door and opened it to find Adam, Jon, Cory, and Jon in suits standing there. "nope nope not tonight!" I rolled my eyes, "I'm so tired."

"Get dressed, we're going out." Cory ordered.

"Where?" I asked, there was no way in hell I was changing back into normal clothes.

"You'll see." Jon smiled and led the group into my hotel room.

"Charlotte its Saturday night in New York City, you're coming with us." Eric went over to my closet and opened it. I had only brought one dress- just in case. It was black and tight in the waist but loose in the skirt. "Perfect, put this on."

"You guys are acting so weird. I'm not going out!" I exclaimed.

"I didn't want to do this but…." Adam laughed and ran over to the bed where I was sitting and threw me over his shoulder."

"Let me down!" I yelled, punching his back.

"Not until you get dressed!" Eric yelled. Adam let me down into the bathroom and Eric threw me the dress. I could hear them holding the door shut, "You can't come out until you're dressed!"

I just want to be in bed. I just want to watch Parks and Rec. The only way for me to do this is to get dressed in the dress. I quickly threw on the dress and yelled back to them, "I'm dressed!"

They opened the door to me, my hair down and brushed, wearing the dress.

"Come on, we're running late!" Cory yelled throwing me a pair of pink heels and Jon tossed me a necklace from my make-up bag on the counter.

"Hey!" I yelled snatching the necklace and putting it on, "I need to put on make-up if we are going anywhere."

"No you don't you look fine." Adam huffed and grabbed me. I luckily was able to grab a pink floral clutch from my suitcase and bring it before I was shoved out of my hotel room and into the brightly lit hallway. They dragged me into the elevator and pressed "1" before I could ask another question.

"Where are you taking me! I'm seriously pissed off!" I stamped my foot as the door to the lobby opened.

"Its a surprise!" Cory laughed as we walked outside into the humid september air in NYC.

I was ushered into a taxi and ordered to sit in the back with Jon.

"Where to?" The taxi driver asked.

"The harbor." Adam smiled, "please."

"The harbor?" I whispered to Jon, knowing that since he was the youngest, he would probably break first.

"Don't worry Charlotte, you'll have fun."

"I'm not to sure." I sighed and watched the city lights whizz past.

The taxi pulled up to the New York City harbor to the tour cruises. Adam paid the fee and we left the taxi.

"Ta Daaaa!" Eric laughed. I could now see that the guys arranged for a boat to take us around Manhattan and they all smiled. I was so impressed, this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.

"Oh my god guys!" I laughed and hugged them all each. I looped my arm around Jon's as he headed onto the boat and helped me jump over the pier to the opening of the boat.

"Welcome aboard! Champagne?" A waitress asked us and handed us each a glass of champagne.

The guys led me to the front of the boat where there were about 5 tables set up. 3 of them were full, one with two 20 year olds, one with a group of 4 friends looking around college age, and an old couple that warmed my heart.

The table with 5 chairs was obviously us, and Cory held a chair out for me which I gladly sat in.

After we were all settled in I needed to know the answers. "How did you guys book this!"

"About a week and a half ago. You're not the only one that can book things you know! To the devils and our new wonderful players assistant!" Eric laughed and signaled us to clink our glasses together.

"Thank you guys, this is incredible!" The boat started to move off the dock and into the waters.

The night was incredible. Easily one of the best nights of my life. It was a dinner cruise and I got the steak, which was awesome. The boat went everywhere- it passed the statue of liberty and the freedom tower. We got so many great pictures that night it was amazing.

As the boat pulled into the dock again at 11 pm we rode back to the hotel in silence. Everyone was tired and soaking in how beautiful the city was all lit up.

When we got back to the hotel and onto our floor I hugged them all again- thanking them endlessly for a wonderful night. I walked back into my hotel room and looked at all of the pictures on my phone again.

That night I learned that I have to take chances to have fun. I have an amazing job that allows me to travel the country. I needed to live a little and in the end, I would never regret it.
