Adam and Caroline arrived at the parking garage to find Smitty, Spoons, and Dougie waiting for them. She waved at the boys as they parked. Dougie opened the door to the car for Caroline and helped her out. Very mannerly these boys she thought.

"You miss me or something Hamilton?" she asked sarcastically. Dougie hugged her to him. This never got old she thought.


"Nope" he answered looking down at her "Thought McQuaid might need back up. He sounded spooked on the phone."


"I didn't do anything" she replied attempting to look innocent. "Did I Quaider?"


All eyes in the garage looked at McQuaid for an explanation. He could either tell Spoons Danielle was coming or he could agree with Caroline. He just started laughing. "Nope" he said smacking Dougie the back. Caroline then burst out laughing.


"I thought she was mad over the bet" said Reilly. McQuaid smacked him in the back of the head as they carried in the grocery bags. "Oww you all really are going to give me brain damage. I need a helmet."


Caroline started to say something but was cut off by Spooner pulling her away from Dougie and up against his side. "Sometimes when they say things that stupid we let it go Caro." said Spooner smirking at Smith "We are pretty sure he rode the short bus to hockey practice."
Caroline roared in laughter. She then leaned over and kissed Spooner on the cheek.


"And he gets kisses?" asked Dougie


"Because he snuggled you on the road trip and he and Smitty bought be a beautiful purse." answered Caroline. She was still snuggled up against Spoons in the elevator.


"Spoons just jacked your girl" said McQuaid.


"So Spoons you met Danielle?" asked Caroline narrowing her eyes at McQuaid.


"I will be in fucking Providence by the time she gets here this weekend." he replied "I guess Darth Quaider her will get the girl by default."


"Default" scoffed McQuaid "Really Spoons?"



They all piled into the apartment. Spoons sat on top of the counter and watched them all put away groceries and various other things. He watched them laugh and joke. He was glad his boy found a girl that could settle in with them and hold her own.


"Spooner" she yelled "Get your ass off the counter top."


"That's where she stands to get things in and out of the higher cabinets." said McQuaid.


"I can't help it you people are all giants. Well except Marchy and Torey. But they are still bigger than me. Damn it you are all huge."


"After seeing Hadlee's brothers you all should be used to giant cave dwelling guys" said Reilly "Dear lord I think West might be able to take Looch."


"Aww West is a big teddy bear" said Caroline


"More like a grizzly" said Dougie "Were you climbing on the counters flashing people again?"


"I wasn't on the counter just trying to reach a coffee mug" she replied "In my defense I thought you all were gone to practice or I might have put on pants."


"This sucks" said Reilly "I still haven't got flashed."


"I'm moving in" said Spoons "I can sleep with you and Dougie right?"


Everyone in the room got really quiet. "What" asked Spooner.


"Three is a crowd. Right Hamilton?"


"Damn straight" he answered kissing her.

"So I guess Hamilton can sleep on the couch" teased Spooner kissing her on the other side of her face.


"In your dreams Spoons" said Caroline "Anyone still in this kitchen in 5 minutes is my kitchen slave. Spoons you staying for lunch?"

"Headed to Providence" he replied "But I am stealing a Gatorade and a powerbar."


McQuaid, Reilly, and Dougie all sat on barstools on the living room side of the counter. Caroline threatened to put them to work. Smith pointed out they were technically in the living room. She laughed. Caroline was busy making grilled cheese sandwiches. She had already started all the ingredients for homemade tomato and basil soup to cooking. She was amused that the boys all thought soups came out of cans. She was also going to use some of the tomato stuff to make pizza sauce for later.


"So Smitty we need you to find a date for tonight or at least a chick to drag over to watch movies tonight. I'll give you 15 minutes to figure it out then it's blind date time." said Caroline.


"What the fuck Caro" said Smitty.


"McQuaid you want to field this one?"


"Danielle will be here tonight by 7. Low key staying in dinner and movie thing." answered McQuaid "Don't want you banished to your room or feeling like a 5th wheel so you need at date. And not some puck slut."


"How about I just head to Griffith's for the night?" he asked "Not really interested in inviting a random over. They get the wrong idea."


Caroline smiled at him "Then let me set you up with someone." Dougie raised an eyebrow. "They don't have to fall in love Hamilton. Just have some pizza and watch a movie. No harm no foul."


Caroline was busy blending the soup in the large blender. She was watching the boys talk but couldn't really hear them. She poured the soup into 4 bowls and handed them out along with the grilled cheese sandwiches. Smith still had not answered her.


"Come on Reilly it will be fun. Besides I have an entire squad of college cheerleaders at my disposal." she pled "Please Smitty?"


"Fine but please no crazies" said Reilly "I am done with crazies."


Caroline smiled at McQuaid and Dougie. Smith was about to get over his fear of asking Jami out. They finished lunch. Cleaned up the mess. Caroline kidnapped McQuaid and made him help make pizza dough. While Dougie and Reilly got cleaned up from practice.


Caroline grabbed her phone and flopped down on the bed. She texted Jami. She was playing the Trivia Crack app when Dougie came in the room dressed in practice shorts. He stretched out beside Caroline and was laughing at her missing questions. He did help her answer the hockey questions. They played the ridiculous game for about a half hour until her phone chirped.

Jami: Not busy. Why?
Caro: Want to come over for pizza and movies?
Jami: Sure who all will be there.
Caro: Me and Hamilton, McQuaid and Danielle, and Reilly
Jami: Why does this sound like you are setting me up with Reilly?
Caro: Because I am. He likes you but is afraid to ask you out because of the ice girl thing. So stay in date to see if it's worth the risk.
Jami: Does he know it's me?
Caro: Nope like to keep him guessing
Jami: So what are we wearing?
Caro: Dress cute and you can steal Reilly's clothes
Jami: I hope he is excited about this.
Caro: Are you excited about this?
Jami: I don't want to get my hopes up.
Caro: No worries. See you at 7


"What are you up to?" asked Dougie smiling at her. Caroline tossed her phone onto the nightstand. She moved so she was laying on Hamilton's abs.


"I might be matchmaking" she replied "They like each other. They just need a push."


"It is forbidden to date ice girls."


"I know for fact that she is more interested in him than being an ice girl. So I figure let them sort it out here. They text all the time." she explained "I'm just not sure how much he likes her."


"So if you are done meddling in the lives of the mortals I am ready to snuggle up and take a nap with you."


"Sounds like a plan, Hamilton." Caroline climbed out of the bed. Dougie laughed as she tossed her bra in the corner along with her pant. She crossed the room and shut the blinds and then flipped the lights off. When she crawled back into the bed she immediately sought him out and cuddle up against him.


"You comfy now" he teased smiling at her. She nodded and scooted closer. "No funny business Rader someone kept me up late and I had practice this am." She gave him an evil grin and ran her hand down his chest to the waist band of his shorts. Her fingers were caressing his hipbone. He squirmed. He took matters into his own hands. He flipped them into a spooning position. He entwined his long legs with hers and held her hands anchored against his abs. She wiggled but couldn't free herself.


She tipped her head back at Dougie "Do I at least get a kiss?" He laughed and gave her a quick kiss.


"Always, Sweetheart" he said kissing the top of her head "Love you."


Caroline tried to squirm free. He laughed and held her closer. "Love you too. Even if you are damn octopus." Caroline finally conceded defeat and settled into him. Dougie was amazed that she was actually asleep before him. He needed to convince her that she should nap with him every day.


Adam had no idea where everyone was. It was quiet at their place so everyone might be napping. He had spent the afternoon sorting laundry and straightening up his room. Hell he even changed the sheets and his duvet cover. He had just finished making the bed when his phone chirped.


DG: I can catch an earlier train is that a problem.
Adam: No Ma'am just let me know when you are getting here.
DG: I will be there by 515. 164 NorthEast station.
Adam: Pick up then. Can't wait to see you again.
DG: Pretty excited to see you too McQuaid. 515. Don't forget me.
Adam: Couldn't if I tried.


Adam had 4 hours to kill before she got there. He decided to go over to SugarBaker's and get some desserts for the night. He also wanted to run by the proshop and get Danielle a jersey in her size. He finished up at the bakery and headed to the shop. He was greeted by the staff when he walked in. He explained he needs a ladies jersey of his. The sales girl headed off to find it. He noticed new Bruins ladies pjs. He grabbed three pairs for the girls. He figured that way they would all be comfy. Plus this little white tank and black B's print booty shorts were hot. The staff rang up his purchases as he was paying several people came into the shop. Adam ended up visiting with the family for about an hour. Signing most everything they bought. Even playing a little knee hockey with the kids. He looked at his watch. He had about an hour until Danielle arrived. He decided to head to the train station. He found her arrival station. He then went to the coffee shop and grabbed a coffee. Signed a few more autographs and photos. He sat on the bench and waited for Danielle.


Damn he thought as she stepped off the train. His memory of her didn't do her justice. She must have came from work. She had on another of those stepford wife dresses. This one blue and white. She had on a blue sweater. Her shoes were sky high and also blue. She looked like a pinup from the 50's. He stood and made his way to her.


"Hey Beautiful" he said in greeting. He leaned in and kissed her cheek. He grabbed the suitcase she was rolling.


"McQuaid" she replied "You look pretty snazzy yourself for pregaming it."


"I'll change I promise".


Danielle wondered if she could watch. He had on dark jeans, a black button down, and a cardigan. She loved men who could dress themselves. He held his arm out her so he could escort her to the car. Great and he is a gentleman. When they arrived at the BMW he opened the door for her and let her get settled. He put her bag in the back seat.


"Ready to head home" he asked smiling at her. Whoa that was lethal thought Danielle.

"Yes sir" she replied. Adam noticed that she sounded a lot like Kayleigh. He liked her drawl. Hell he liked her. Now her just need to convince her to stay all weekend with him.
