Thunderstruck

The next day meant work for both Lila and her boys. That meant another day at the office for her; quite literally, she worked in an office as a receptionist. Walking in, she heard her phone go off from her bag and reached down searching for it until she dug it out and looked down at the screen. After reading 'Ty' at the top of her screen, she rolled her eyes and hit accept, putting the phone between her ear and shoulder heading into the back to put her stuff away.
"What?"
"Ouch, that was a shady greeting."
"Seriously Ty, I'm at work. What?"
"Tonight, what are your plans?"
"That's a good question, haven't gotten that far yet."
"Perfect. My place, 10:30, clothing optional."
"You're getting pretty bossy there Seguin."
"You love it."
"Whatever. Seriously, I have to work."
"10:30."
"Maybe."
And with that she hung up and put her phone in her pocket.


8 long hours later and she was fully looking forward to take out on the couch in sweatpants. Opening the door she noticed both Benn brothers sitting on her couch, beers in hand.
"Make yourselves at home why don't ya?"
"We have, thank you very much Li."
She glared at the elder Benn and threw her bag on the chair passing by them to her room.
"What are you fools doing here?"
"Bored."
"So you couldn't have been bored at your apartment instead of mine?" She yelled from the bedroom where she was changing into her comfies.
"You know, it's kinda sounding like you don't enjoy the company of two studly hockey players."
"Studly, really?"
She came out of her room, a questioning look on her face and headed to the kitchen.
"Fine, best looking boys in Dallas." Jordie smirked and took a swig of his beer.
"We're lucky there's still air in this place, your egos are taking up all the room."
Opening the fridge she saw it fully stocked with beer and sighed contentedly, grabbing one and heading back to the living room.
"As long as you keep filling the fridge with beer, I guess you can stay as long as you like."
"Is that all we are to you, just means to keep the beer stocked?"
She dropped between the two boys on the couch and turned putting her head on Jamie's lap and feet on Jordie's.
"Nope, you're also lovely pillows and foot rests."
Lila laughed and Jamie pulled her pony tail down to make her look up at him.
"So you're just using us then?"
"Me, using you? You have a combined income of more money than I will ever make in my lifetime and where are we? Oh yeah, MY place."
She smirked and reached for her beer when Jamie stared at her with no response.
"That's what I thought," she sat up and winked at him, taking a swig from her beer.
Jordie pushed Lila's feet off of his legs and stood up, "well since we're just such moochers, how about we order some takeout as a gracious thank you to Princess Lila?"
"You know, considering your parents are so damn sweet, I have no idea where you get that sass."
"It's a gift."
"So is the Thai food you're ordering me, so get on it scruffy."
Jordie headed for the kitchen, pushing Jamie's shoulder on his way by.
"Your girl's getting pretty bossy there Jamie."
Jamie looked down at the girl in his lap and chuckled as she smirked innocently up at him.
After her free dinner, she ended up back on the couch with the Benn brothers watching whatever sports show they had put on this time. Completely uninterested, she was flipping through her phone when a message popped up at the top. Opening it she saw it was from Tyler.
'So?'
She smirked slightly when she read the text and saw that it was only 9:45.
'Anxious are we?'
'Let's go with excited instead of anxious. Answer?'
'Wait and find out'
She shoved her phone in the pocket of her hoodie and hopped up off the couch heading towards her bedroom. Closing the door and went to the dresser picking out something a little special to toss under her sweats. After pulling a simple outfit she tossed it on and looked herself over once in the mirror before putting her clothes back on. Heading out of her room she went into the kitchen and grabbed her keys and purse off the table, turning around she saw Jamie in the walkway.
"Where you going?"
"Out."
He raised his eyebrow at her and she shrugged her shoulders.
"Just out, you guys know how to lock up."
She tossed her purse over her shoulder and headed towards the walkway. Jamie stepped out of her way and watched her head towards the door.
"Text me later?"
"Always do."
She tossed a wink over her shoulder as she shut the door behind her. Jamie stared at the door for a minute before heading back over to the couch, Jordie looked over at him.
"Where's she going?"
"Out."
"Alright."
Jamie threw his feet back up on the coffee table, but couldn't shake the weird feeling coming over him.
