She's Only 17.
Bloody Mary Breakfast
Jamie sits up in bed and reads the time: 9:00 a.m. and immediately remembered the sweet girl that was in bed next to him, when his hand brushes her rear. She rouses a little and rolls on to her back. Jamie just sits there and watches her, until he realizes how tented up his shorts are. He inwardly groans and slips out of bed. He walks down the hall, hoping Rylee will stay there long enough for him to relax. He starts making coffee and rummages in the fridge for breakfast.
About 15 minutes later, Rylee wanders down the hall and smiles sleepily at Jamie. All she has on is the t-shirt Jamie had gave her last night and panties. "Hey," he croaks. Rylee grins, "Hey, lumber jack, sleep well?"
"What?" Jamie laughs.
"You snore like a burly lumber jack that has spent the last fifteen years inhaling wood dust."
Jamie blushes, "Sorry, apparently it's common for athletes to snore."
Rylee nods, "I grew up with a bunch of them and they all sound similar to you, actually."
"I'm assuming you grew up with a bunch of hockey players?"
"Yep, a whole bunch of them. I was the lone girl."
"Any names I would know?" Jamie pours two cups of coffee and slides one across the counter to Rylee.
"No," Rylee says quickly. "So what do you do in the off season, Jamie Benn?" She uses her best reporter voice.
Jamie laughs. "I like going and meeting strangely perfect girls and falling asleep next to them."
Rylee sips her coffee and says, "Please tell me you haven't slept with that bitch." Jamie almost spits his coffee. "Ali? Hell no! She's a pain in the ass!" Rylee giggles, "Good, I can't stand her..I mean, her reporting skills are shit." Jamie watches her quizzically before looking back at the fridge. "I can't find anything to eat, sorry." Rylee shrugs then looks at the clock, "Shit! I've gotta go. I have something in like, an hour."
"Let me drive you." Jamie offers while Rylee runs around his apartment throwing her stuff together. "That would be fantastic." She smiles flawlessly at him.
They get into Jamie's clean, black SUV. "So where are we headed?" Jamie pulls out of the parking lot. "Dr. Pepper Center, please." "What?" Jamie laughs. "I'm meeting someone there, for a business thing." "Who?" Jamie has been suspicious of her for a while, now, and this is just heightening his concern.
"Nieuwendyk, we're meeting to discuss business transactions."
Jamie nods.
Neither of them say much until they pull into a spot at the Dr. Pepper Center. "Thanks for the ride, Jamie."
"I'll walk you in, I've gotta talk to someone about the skate sharpeners." Jamie also wants to see her reaction.
"..Okay, let's go, then." Rylee starts to fidget with her skirt as they approach the doors. He watches her, but pretends to not notice.
They walk into the rink and Jamie hears a booming voice say, "Where were you last night, Ry?" Joe Nieuwendyk approaches them. Rylee's eyes widen. "I was with a friend." Jamie shifts, uneasily, thinking he releases what's going on. "Jamie Benn? Please don't tell me you slept with my daughter last night?" Jamie chokes and Rylee snaps: "Daddy!" "No, we were just talking, I swear." Jamie sputters, his eyes huge. "You have better been. Don't think I won't turn you in for sleeping with my 17 year old daughter." Jamie chokes again. He looks bewildered at Rylee.
"I swear to God I didn't know. Shit..I mean, dammit..AGHH."
"Just get outta here." Joe instructs the stricken Jamie.
Jamie walks to his car, still reeling, and calls the only person he can think of. "Jordie, I almost slept with Nieuwendyk's daughter.
"Bro, I almost slept with a seventeen year old."
