Just Say Yes

It was four in the morning and she was listening to the voice mail that Patrick left her. She was in the living room so she won’t have to wake up Matt.
“Kennedy, wow it’s been a long time since I heard your voice. Look I miss you and I don’t know what to do. I’m drunk at a bar and don’t want to come home. I’m mad at you for leaving me for fucker Matt.” She could hear the sadness from Kaner’s voice and how drunk he was. Kennedy was thinking of how would Patrick know about her and Matt. She knows that Addison wouldn’t say anything about them.
“Your up early.” Matt came onto the couch.
“I couldn’t sleep last night.” Matt pulled Kennedy on to his chest.
“Are you thinking of Patrick right now?”
“Yea he left me a voice mail and he knows about us. I told Addison that I don’t what Patrick to know where I am.”
“Well if Patrick comes in Denver then I will be there for you. Besides when you might seen him soon.”
“How would you know?”
“You put Addison’s twin shower invited on the frig and you’re leaving in a couple of hours. You know that I want to go but I need to stay here for the team.”
“I know, but thank you for being here for me.”
“Tell them I said hi.”
“I will.”

In the dark apartment of Patrick Kane, Patrick was on his king size bed alone. While Rose Bishop was already dress from her outfit last night, took a picture of Patrick sleeping and headed out the door. It wasn’t quiet for long when someone was banging on Patrick’s door. Patrick didn’t want to know who was at the door.
“PATRICK TIMOTHY KANE!” Addison scream in the hallway of his apartment. Patrick shot straight up from bed forgetting all about his hangover he was having. When she reach to his room. She looked like she’s going to kill someone.
“What now Addison!?” Face back to the pillow. She walked over to him, grabbed the pillow that he was laying on and started to hit him.
“OK, OK I’m up.” He tried to get up him
“What the fuck are you doing !?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Addison grabs a piece of paper from her pocket. Then pushes it into his chest.
“This!” When Patrick opens the paper it was a picture of Rose Bishop sleeping in his bed. She post the picture on tumblr.
“So?”
“So!? Kennedy has a tumblr page and she called me that you left her a drunk voice mail this morning.”
“She slept with Matt, when I saw that I couldn’t be home and a drink sounded really good.”
“Patrick.” She sat down next to Patrick on the bed.
“You should have called me than having a one night stand.” Patrick was looking down at his hands.
“Tomorrow is a big day for me and Jon.”
“How so?”
“Tomorrow is the twin shower.”
“Oh, is Kennedy coming?”
“She's flying in today. Jon’s going to pick her up from the airport right now. Patrick I care for you a lot and I know that you will be in my life and the kids. But I think it would be best if you not to come to the baby shower. With everything that's going on with her and Matt. Let me talk to her and see what’s going on. I'm trying to help you get Kennedy back and it will take some time. What you did last night kinda pushed it back.”
"You should have told me that you were doing this then I wouldn't have done what I did last night."
“But you heard what going on between Matt and Kennedy?”
“Yes but not from her nor Matt yet.” Then Patrick’s phone was ringing.
“Hey Jon.”
“Is my wife there?” Sounded annoyed.
“Yep she’s here, almost beat the shit out of me but we talked.” Jon let out a big sigh.
“Please tell her to come home because Kennedy is here and waiting for her and the twins.”
“Will do.”
"Jon sounded not happy."
"Well that's what happen when you tell your pregnant wife not to leave the house after what she saw on tumblr this morning. I'm just looking out for the both of you. You are meant to be with her. She loves you more than Matt. So please Pat don't come to the twin shower."
"If you name the baby after me." Patrick gave her his famous smile.
"If I do that then Jon will kill you for that dumb idea. I will send you pictures of the shower later."

When Addison got home safe and sound. Jon was standing by the door waiting for Addison to get home. When she open the front door. Jon quickly grabbed Addison in a huge hug.
"Addison I told you not to go over there because I have no idea what Patrick has in that place he calls home."
"Don't worry babe, everything is fine and I wanted to talk to Patrick before Kennedy gets here. Where is she?"
"I think putting her stuff away and I heard her on the phone." When Addison reached to Kennedy's room for the weekend. She could hear Kennedy still on the phone.
"Yea I just got to their place, Jon said that Addison will be home soon but he won't tell me where she was at." Kennedy was sitting on the the bed with Matt on speaker. When Addison open the door wider, Kennedy jumped out of the bed.
"Matt your on speaker, say hi to Addison your self."
"How's my beach whale of a friend." Matt laugh.
"Glad that your still in Denver or I will kick your ass."
"I know you would, but how are you and the twins?"
"They are doing great now since aunty Kennedy is here. Why do you have to take her away from me?"
"Don't worry, I'll be there when you are in the delivery room screaming every profanity that you hear from the dressing room. Matt I'll talk you later."
"OK, I miss you. Bye Addison."
"Bye Matt."
When she got off the phone, Addison took her a tour around their new place. When they reached to the kitchen Jon was on the phone with someone.
"Let's go outside." When they got up the view of Chicago.
"Do you miss this?"
"I do, I miss everything about Chicago. Where you at Patrick's?"
"He got into trouble last night and I was there to make sure that it won't happen again."
"You're not his mom Addison."
"I know but I am his friend like I am with you. Patrick has changed a lot since you move to Denver. When he found out that you were with Matt. He just turn off his humanity switch and didn't care for the world. I know that he's trying his best to showed me that I don't have to worried about him. Then last night when he found out that you slept with Matt he just pick up a girl and had a one night stand. I know the girl to."
"Who?"
"Her name is Rose Bishop friends with Patrick's ex Amanda. So did you really slept with Matt ?" Kennedy didn't say that much, just looked at the sky and trying to not break down from what she just heard about Patrick.
"Kennedy, I want to know. My best friend didn't tell me this and I have to read this online where people know this kinda of stuff."
"We did slept together after I saw a picture on tumblr that Patrick slept with 2 girls a couple of days ago. It just made me so mad at him and Matt was there to comfort me."
"By putting his dick in you. Are you even sure that you're still in love with Patrick or that you think you love Matt?"
"I still do love Patrick but every time that I see, think or talk about Patrick I only think that it's my fault that I ruined this."
"You haven't ruined everything. You both were drunk at the wedding and you both weren't on the same page before the wedding."
"How did you know about Rose?"
"Jon saw the picture and he told me that she has seen her at a couple of parties that Amanda was hosting. Jon didn't like her at all when Patrick beg Jon to come to the parties. When I saw the picture all I wanted to do was talk to Patrick. I tired to call him but he didn't answer his phone. Jon didn't want me to go at all. It's getting frustrated when Jon doesn't want me to go anywhere just home or the UC, that's it."
"He's trying to keep you safe."
"We got into an arugment last night."
"About what?"
"Jon wants me to go on my leave at the end of October than November than my plan is. He already got me grounded so that means I can't fly with the team right now. I'm going to be all by myself when he's out of town before the twins even get here. You're gone and I only have the WAGS to talked to. It's just boring." Addison was crying that the one part of her job that she loves is to be with the team it being taken away from her.
"Even Stan agree with Jon about this." Kennedy went up to her and gave her a hug.
"I hate to you see cry but you are having twins, if it was just one baby Toews then it would have been different." "You're right." Addison wipe the tears off her face and make sure that her eye liner didn't get ruined.
"You should have seen Patrick this morning. When I came into his place screaming the top of my lungs he look like someone ripped his dick off. Then regret giving me a spare key to his new place."
"He moved?"
"Yea he moved out of the Trump Towers and found another place that looks just like his old place." They headed back inside because Addison was getting hungry.
"Jon were hungry."
"Ok, let's get take in."
"No Jon I want to go out and I don't want to hear it. Kennedy is here and if I see the same walls of the dinning room, living room or any walls of this place. I will lose it." Jon put his hands up in the air to give up.
"Fine,we'll go out but I want to pick out the place then."
"Agree." They went up to their room to change into something different for the night."

When they went to the restaurant Jon picked out a pizza place. It wasn't too big but they can have their own conversation without someone hearing it from another table. As they sat down in the booth. Jon was asking Kennedy if she has been to any good restaurant in Denver. Addison was looking at a text from Dayna.
"There's a lot that we wanted to try and we have been to some but since I come home early than Matt I cook for us." Then Addison's phone beep tell him that he has a text.
"So it looks like Abby and Dayna got everything ready for tomorrow. I'm so glad Abby and Dayna is helping me with this twin shower. I mean everyone is coming, Seabrooks, Sharps, Hjalmarssons, Bickells, Keiths, Hossa's, Richard's and the whole team. Even Jon's parents are flying in that morning and Kaner's family too."
"Is Patrick coming?" It was quiet for a moment because both Jon and Kennedy were both looking at Addison.
"I told him this morning not to come."
"What did he say?"
"When I told him that you were coming. He was fine not coming but I know he would be upset that he would miss everything."
"You didn't have to do that for me. I would have been fine if he came."
"Really?"
"Yea I need to see how he's doing since the wedding, if he did slept with those two girls."
"Speaking of that when did you see that photo?"
"About a week ago. Why?"
"Well I think that photo was fake because he wasn't home that night when the picture was taken."
"What do you mean?"
"Well Patrick has been seeing a neurologist and he was with his neurologist that night. So I don't know how they would get in to his place."
"Are you sure about that?"
"He had to be there all night. I'll ask Patrick later."
“Can he come to the twins shower?"
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yea I don't want you to univited someone because of me. I don't want people to think that way of me when I am here and Patrick can't come because of me. He's the god farther any way. He has to come." Kennedy was right, she's the god mother and Patrick is the god farther. While Addison and Kennedy were talking about baby names Jon was texting Patrick.
J: So I heard heard that Kennedy wants you at the twins shower.
K: Are you sure about that?
J: She said in front of my face and Addison's. I think you two need to talk sober.
K:OK I will come, tell Addison that I am coming.
"Jon?" Jon quickly looked up from his phone.
"Yea?"
"It was Kennedy that called your name."
"Are you going to teach them to speak french and get them to say eh a lot?"
"Well my mother taught me how to speak in french and the eh is in their blood since we are both Candienan."



Jon and Addison's place looked amazing with the hard work that the WAGS set up with blue and pink ribbons everywhere around the house. Drinks and food were in the kitchen all ready to do. Even Dayna helped her pick out something for Addison to wear today. They have been close since helping her get this shower ready for her. Abby was already close to her since they are real family. Jon was finishing a project outside on the deck with Brent and Patrick. All the girls were waiting outside of Addison's bathroom to see the outfit that Dayna picked out of her. When she came out the bathroom everyone fell inlove with the dress that she was wearing. Where did you find it?"
"I was at the mall looking for a gift for the twins and I knew that Addison would love it."
"Wow Dayna the dress looks amazing on her."
"Thank you so much for the dress. You didn't have to."
"I had to because this is not only the twins day but it's also yours and Jon's day. I got something for Jon to when he's done outside." Addison hugged Dayna.
"You do look amazing Addison." Kennedy gave her a hug too.
"Are you still OK that Patrick is coming over?"
"Yea I am."
"Patrick coming?" Abby ask.
"Yea he is."
During the party everyone was having a good time. Parents were talking to one other, the kids were having a great time playing with each other. A lot of people were talking to Addison and Jon. The gifts were now a mountain in a couner of the room. All of them were pink and blue. Kennedy was getting nervous seeing Patrick for the first time since the wedding. Patrick hasn't shown yep yet and the party started about 2 hours ago. Kennedy wanted to call Matt to try to clam herself down. When she heard the door bell she ran into the bathroom. The bathroom was close to the front door. When Addison open the door it was Patrick holding his gift for the twins.
"Wow Addison you look amazing." He kisses Addison's cheek.
"Thank you Patrick for coming, sorry about the whole situation."
"No problem, I was just shock that she wanted me to be here. Do you think where she's at?"
"The last time I saw her she was talking to Richie." They both walked into the kitchen to find Kennedy. Kennedy seeks out of the bathroom and headed up to her room. Patrick did spotted her going up the stairs. Patrick followed her up the stairs till she shuts the door. He waited for a couple of seconds before he knock on the door. But then he didn't want to ruin the shower. So he turn around and headed back to the party.
'She has to come down sooner than later.' Patrick said to himself. About 10 minutes later Kennedy came down and feel a little bit better after calling Matt. She spotted Patrick talking to Addison. When Addison look where Patrick was looking she pushed him a little bit her way and walked away. When Kennedy got to the bottom of the stairs Patrick was there waiting for her.
"Hi." Kennedy looked right at Patrick's eye to see that he still loves her.
"Hi." Kennedy said it soflty.
"How have you been? You look amazing in that dress too."
"Good, Matt said hi. Thank you." Pat nodded his head.
"Where did you get that dress? I never seen you with that one one before."
"I bought it in Denver with Matt." Then those eyes turn from love to lost. Kennedy should have left Matt out about the dress.
"Do you mind if we talk somewhere where it's just you and I?" Right before Kennedy could get her answer out the door bell rung again. When Kennedy open the front door, her heart went down to the bottom of her feet. It was Patrick's family.
"Kennedy!" All the sisters scream in front of her face. Then went for a group hug.
"Oh my god I didn't know that you will be here for the twins shower." Jackie said, then Ericka spotted Patrick. The other sisters were asking a lot of questions to Kennedy.
"Now girls I think we should let Kennedy have some room to breath." Patrick's mom stepped in to save the day.
"How are you sweetie?" She gave her a hug.
"Good, how about you?"
"The same. It's great seeing you, as you can see that we all miss you. Where have you been?"
"I move to Denver for a better job than ESPN gave me." It was just her and Patrick's mom talking. The rest of the family went their own ways.
"Pat told me what happen between you guys and I think that Pat lost something that he shouldn't have. You have been everything for Patrick since the day you guys met. When he told me that you left, I can see it in his eyes that he misses you a lot." Kennedy couldn't get a word out of her mouth because she was in shock that Pat's mom misses her.
"Now I need to see Addison." She went around Kennedy and left her shock. Kennedy turn around Patrick was right there.
"Are you ready or do you want to wait till tonight where there's no one around?"
"Let's just wait because this is Jon and Addison's day." Patrick nodded their heads and went back to the party.
As the party beguins to die down they did ask Jon and Addison if they pick out the names yet. There answers were yes we have but he have a few and we want to see them before making them their real names. So some of the family stay and help them clean up. Patrick's parents left and they will see him tomorrow. But Jackie stayed behind to help them clean up.
"Jackie you didn't have to stay to help." Addison tried to help but Jon told her to relax from today.
"It's no problem. Besides I need to talk to Kennedy alone. Where is she?" They look everywhere but the deck. When Addison and Jackie went out to the deck. They could see that Kennedy and Patrick were talking.
"Do you think that they will get back together?"
"I hope so but she's with Matt."
"Duchene?" Addison nodded her head.
"That's why she moved to Denver. Both Patrick and Kennedy weren't on the same page during the wedding and that's why they broke up. When Matt told her to move to Denver it was easy for her to pick up her stuff and leave. She hated working at ESPN because of her boss. He was being such a tool."
"Well I have to tell you what my dumb sisters did."

"So how's life in Denver?"
"OK. Patrick I have been hearing things from Addison. I just want to know the truth."
"Like what?"
"She told me that you're seeing a sleep doctor and that you slept with Amanda's friends Rose." Now he knows why he has seen that face before. Patrick had to get drunk before her parties because they were so boring to him.
"Are you still in love with me?" Patrick looked at Kennedy. Kennedy still is but the words didn't want to come out of her lips.
"Please Kennedy I want to know what's going on inside of your mind." Should Kennedy lie that she doesn't or just spit it out.
"Kennedy!" She heard Jackie a foot away from them.
"Addison needs you right now." Before Kennedy passed Patrick he grabbed her shoulder.
"My family are staying at a hotel next to my new place. If you would like to finish this then meet me tonight." Kennedy didn't say anything and left with Jackie. Jackie mouth out the word sorry to Patrick. Then Patrick left.

When Patrick was sitting in his living room waiting for Kennedy to show up. He got a text from Kennedy.
"Can't make it tonight sorry. Found out some news that I need to take care of."
