Just Say Yes

Patrick did feel a little better after hanging out with Jon and Addison. He can feel that Kennedy will come back soon but didn’t know when. When he place one foot into his apartment he could hear that his sisters were there. Patrick didn’t have time to turn around when Jessica called out his name.
“Pat, please don’t leave. We need to talk."
“About what, that you let two puck sluts into my place without me knowing and trying to get Kennedy back. Yeah smart fucking move.” He walked into the kitchen.
“Please Pat you're not the only one that misses her, we miss her too."
“Why do you think that it was a good idea to do that? You two just pushed Kennedy more to Duchene’s bed than closer to Chicago or me."
“I don’t know Patrick we were just so upset from what’s going on that we didn’t think before we act on. We know that Addison and Jon knows about this. Addison being Kennedy’s best friend and the god mother of their twins. I know that she’s upset with the whole situation that we put you and Kennedy in."
“Just for once I just don’t want you to fix something that isn’t yours to fix. I need to fix things with Kennedy."
“Then why aren’t you in Denver right now to fix it ?! Then staying under your bed covers and making mom come all the way over here to treat you like a baby. Or thinking that Kennedy will change her mind when she knows that you broke up with her.” Patrick really wanted to break something because all of the anger was building in was about to burst. He was breathing heavy and Jackie could see that anger in his eyes and needed to get her sisters out before someone goes into the hospital.
"Can you guys just leave, I’m not in the mood for anyone right now.”Patrick’s fists were turning white.
“Come on girls you already did enough damages to Patrick.” Jackie pushed Erica and Jessica out the door. Jackie mouth out the words ‘I’m sorry’ again. He really needed to talk to someone that wasn’t Addison, Jon or his sisters. So he was doing something that he would never would have done. He pick up his phone and he was surprise that he didn’t delete her number.
“Hey, how are you?” He had a smile on his face.
“Do you mind if you come over, I just really need to talk to someone. Great the door will be unlocked."

When Kennedy got back from the airport she was still thinking about Patrick. How she left that stupid text before she left. She should have done it in person.
“Hey.” Matt came from the living room and in gulp her into a hug.
“How was Chicago?"
“It was good.” He kisses her forehead.
“Man I missed you. Gabe,Ryan and Tyson were giving me crap because the only thing I can talk about was you.” They went into the living room just watching tv and Kennedy talked about the twins shower.
“So when the twins are due?"
“Addison said that they are due like the first week of January. I was thinking of helping Addison out from Christmas eve till the end on February."
“So that means your not coming with me to see my parents in Halliburton for the holidays?"
“No, I want to take this slow and I think seeing your parents would be to fast. Addison would really need a lot of help with the whole holidays and the winter classic.” Matt just nodded his head and just listen to her just talk.
“How did you feel after we talk on the phone when Patrick was there?"
“I felt good and I knew that nothing bad would happen if we were around people.” Then Kenney was thinking if she should tell Matt what happen with Patrick’s sisters did or just leave that alone.
“Well I’m just glad that your home right now and we can just watch whatever is on netflix."
“Good I like that idea.” Then the jet lag hit Kennedy. It took only a matter of seconds for her to fall asleep next to Matt. Matt was really happy to have Kennedy back home and he was hoping that she didn't change her mind and go back to Patrick. He does trust Kennedy a lot more than any person that he knows.

In the morning Kennedy woke up in her bed. She didn’t remember walking to bed, only thing she remember was falling asleep on the couch when Matt started to play a movie from netflix. Kennedy didn’t hear anything and thinks Matt is not home. Getting up from bed, she walked around the apartment and sees that Matt wasn’t home. So she went back to her bathroom and started a shower. Letting the hot water and steam letting her mind drive somewhere else why washing her body off from everything from yesterday. Playing some music on her iPhone and one song that made her mind drift off. “Mercy” by Oncerepublic. Once she was done taking her shower, dress and headed back to the living room. When there was a knock on the door. She didn’t know who was coming over and Matt would have told her who’s coming over. Opening the door she didn’t believe who or a group was there at her front door.
“What are you doing here? Here in Denver?” It was Erica, Jess and Jackie couldn’t believe that they have found her.
“We need to talk to you."
“You know that you could have done this over the phone than flying all the way over here just to say sorry."
“Kennedy you wouldn’t answer your phone if you knew that we were calling you. Beside we want to have lunch. We know that Matt would be busy working out."
“How did you know where I was living?"
“Addison."
“I though so, come in and I'll change.”
When they all went downtown it was kinda weird for Kennedy that she having lunch with Patrick’s sisters.
“Does Patrick know what you were doing?"
“No, we tried to talk to him but he didn’t want anything with us. Which I don’t blame him at all. If someone did that to me I wouldn’t talk to that person for a long time. I just hope that Patrick can talk to us soon than not talk to us till were on our deathbeds. Kennedy we don’t know how many times we are going to say this but we are sorry for what we did to you and Patrick. Patrick was right we shouldn’t fix something that isn’t our to fix. Kennedy, I think that there a small chance that you will get back with Patrick but don’t know when that’s going to happen. He’s afraid that if he did one small thing he thinks that you are gone for good. Which you can’t since you both are the god parents. We keep on telling him that he should just fly here and tell you that he still loves you.” Jessica finally stop talking.


It was getting close to the new season and things were getting busy in the Duchene’s house hold with Matt getting ready for the season. Kennedy was in the kitchen just reading some new letters about how the Avalanche are going to be great this season. Then Kennedy gets a phone call from Jon.
“Hi Jon, how are you?"
“Good, I was wondering if you wanted to come to the home opener?"
“Jon you know that’s the same day when the Avalanche plays the Wild."
“I know but it would make Addison very happy for you to be there."
“I just don’t want to miss Matt’s home opener.” Then Matt came into the kitchen with his gym bag.
“Please Kennedy I will do anything to get you here back in Chicago when we play against the Sabres.” Kennedy was looking at Matt and he was waiting for her to get off the phone.
“Hold on.” Kennedy put Jon on mute.
“That’s Jon. He wants me to come to the home opener for Addison."
“You should go then."
“Matt it’s the same day of your home opener."
“I know that but it’s your friend and I know that she can’t come here when the Blackhawks are in town. Beside I can see it in your eyes that you miss Chicago."
“Yea it’s been a couple of months since I was there.” She un mute Jon.
“Jon I am coming to the home opener."
“Well tell Matt thank you and tell him that his gift will be coming soon."
“What gift?” She looks at Matt. Before Kennedy could say anything else Jon ended the call.
“Matt what’s the gift?"
“Oh, Jon said that he would give me some new golf clubs for letting you go to the home opener."
“You men and golf."
“Well you women and shopping."

“Jon, I’m here at O’Hare airport and I’m getting in to my rental."
“Ok, me us here at this restaurant and see you soon."
When Kennedy got to the restaurant that Jon told her where they were at. She couldn’t wait to see the look on Addison’s face. Walking into the restaurant Kennedy sees Jon trying to hide that he was looking for her. When Kennedy closed Addison’s eyes.
“Guess who this is."
“Oh my Kennedy!” Addison jumped out of her chair and hug her.
“So why are you here ? Should you be back in Denver for the Avalanche’s home opener."
“Well Jon bribe Matt with golf clubs so that I can come to the Blackhawks home opener."
“So that’s why I couldn’t go into your office before you have a gift for someone and you didn’t want me to see it. Men and their golf."
“Well you and shopping."
“Matt said that to.”
“We also heard about Patrick’s sister stop by in Denver."
“That was a surprise. They just wanted to tell me in person about the whole situation. What was Patrick reaction when he heard about it?"
“I don’t think he’s talking to them right now but he’s mom is coming to the home opener."
About an hour later they were just talking about what happen since they saw each other. Then Kennedy could hear someone laughing and she knows that laugh. She turn around to spotted the laugh it was Patrick. Patrick was having lunch at the same place and he wasn’t alone. It was a women and long brown hair. Kennedy turn back to her table. Jon and Addison didn’t notice that Patrick was there. When they walked out of the restaurant Kennedy looked back and sees that Patrick was staring at her. Then the women he was having lunch turn around to see what he was looking at. It was Amanda,Patrick was having lunch with. Kennedy now could feel like someone has stab her in the heart and wish that she was back in Denver getting ready for the home opener for Matt.
“Kennedy?” Addison came over to her.
“Hey I’ll met you back at the UC I have something to do first.” Addison nodded her head and headed where Jon was waiting for her in the car.

Kennedy needed to get something done before the game starts. She found a hair salon near the United Center.
“Welcome to A Beautiful Day, do you have an appointment?"
“No I was wondering if anyone was free."
“I am. Come with me please.” A blonde came around.
When Kennedy sat down in the chair and she was ready
“So what are we going to do today.” The women was looking at her hair.
“ I need you to make this into a pixie hair cut."
“You want me to cut all of this hair off. What happen to you?"
“I broke up with someone a while ago and I needed a change."
“Here let me get some wine and we can talk about him. I’m Lindsey by the way.”
It was about getting close to the game and Kennedy loved her new hair cut and made a new friend to. She told Kennedy that she went through the same stage with her ex boyfriend. When Kennedy got up to the family and friends suite everyone was in shock of her hair.
“Kennedy what did you do?!” Addison went up to her and looked at her hair closely.
“I just need a new look, do you like it?"
“I do but why the new look?"
“I saw Patrick with Amanda while we were having lunch. I couldn’t handle it anymore and I went to the closest salon near the United Center."
“Did you go to A Beautiful Day?"
“Yeah what?"
“That’s where Jon’s EX girlfriend works at. Her name is Lindsey.”
“Well now Lindsey knows everything."
“Kennedy how could you!"
“I’m sorry when I saw Amanda I didn’t know what to do."
“That’s ok, the game about to start."
