Just Say Yes

It was the middle of the third period and the score was ties 2-2 and people were getting worried about how the team was doing being tied with the Sabres. During the game Kennedy talked to some of the other friends and family. She didn’t see Patrick’s mom in the suite. Abby told her that she’s down in the stands with the fans. The horn,fans cheer were loud and happy that they broke up the tie. Kennedy didn’t see who got the goal.
“Kaner got to the goal.” Addison looked at Kennedy for anything from her face. Addison didn’t looked at the screen but at Kennedy’s face when Kennedy saw Amanda on the jumbo tron. She was sitting with Patrick’s mom. Kennedy’s heart sunk a little more in her chest seeing her with his mother.
“Yea I’m going to head out. I am really tried and I want to beat the traffic so I’ll met you at your place."
“Sure.” Addison handed her set of keys and Kennedy left without saying goodbye to anyone. Addison just wish that they should not be children.
At the end of the game everyone was heading into the dressing room. Patrick pick up his phone and there was a text from someone that he though he would never get from. It was from Lindsey.
“Wow you drove your EX to chop her hair.” There was a picture of Kennedy with her new hair cut and holding a glass of wine. Patrick didn’t know that Kennedy was back in town till he saw her at the restaurant that afternoon. Even Jon didn’t say anything to him about Kennedy coming to the home opener. He sets his phone back in his stall and dress for tonight. When everyone was ready for friends and family to come in. Addison went straight to Patrick. Jon was still talking to the reporters about the game tonight.
“Patrick I need to talk to you."
“It’s about Kennedy isn’t?"
“Yea how did you know?"
“I got a text from Lindsey that she cut her hair. I don’t know what to do because Amanda is here and I do want to talk to Kennedy."
“I’ll just tell her that you are to tired to go out tonight and you’re going to bed early."
“Thanks Addison I owe you a lot."
“Just get Kennedy back to Chicago.” Patrick nodded his head and headed out the door.

Kennedy was unpacking her stuff in her room and she did call Matt telling him about the game. Matt was upset about his game because it was the second time in the row that the Avalanche hasn’t score a goal yet. She was almost done up packing when there was a knock on the door.
“Come in.” When the door was open Patrick poke his head out in her room.
“Hey.” He walked inside and Kennedy turned around and kept putting clothes away.
“What are you doing here? Should you be in Denver for the home opener for Duchene."
“Jon wanted me to be here for Addison and Matt was fine with that. Good question, what are you doing here?"
“I heard about your new hair cut and I wanted to see it. It looks better in person than picture."
“What do yo mean picture?"
“Lindsey you know Jon EX she send me a text of a picture of you."
“Oh."
“So why did you get the hair cut?"
“I needed a change."
“You didn’t need to change."
“Yes I did from what I saw at the restaurant."
“Amanda and I are just friends now. I just needed to talk to someone that wasn’t Addison or Jon."
“About?"
“You ! I always talk about you!” Kennedy place the last shirt inside her drawer.
“Why do you need to talk about me?"
“Because I love you and there’s no one that can change that."
“Change?!” Kennedy slams the closest drawer and turned around.
"You’re the one that wanted to brake up with me because you think that I cheated you with Matt. But I didn’t, he made me happy and you made me feel like shit. How can I love you when you went back with her!?"
"I didn’t made you feel like shit and yes let’s not be adults here and not say out Amanda’s name.
“You can’t even say Matt’s first name, you are just using his last night."
"Like I said we are just friends.” Kennedy scoffed. Patrick stood in front of Kennedy.
“Why did I make you feel like shit?"
“When I told you about the trip and how you would go back to Buffalo to play hockey during your offseason.” Kennedy could feel the tears coming down.
“I didn’t like you putting me second when it comes to hockey. At first I was fine because I met you during the season but it’s the off season. Jon does put hockey off for Addison during the offseaon and be with her. I wanted that! Put fucking hockey on the side during the off season!” Kennedy couldn't hold her tears in as much as Patrick couldn’t either. Seeing Kennedy this hurt from what he did at the wedding.
“I’m so sorry for what I did and I want to make everything back to normal for us. I want to use that word for this. Us I love you so much and I'll work my ass off to make you happy and you’re all I have. Please Kennedy give me a chance to hold on.” He wipes the tears off of her cheeks. He kept his palms on her cheeks.
“Kennedy, Please what to you want me to do?"
“Kiss me.” She said softy.
“What did you say?” Patrick got closer to her face.
“Kiss me.” He carefully place his lips on to hers and it felt like they never left for that long. It didn’t took them that long for Kennedy to get Patrick’s shirt off. Patrick lifted Kennedy and place her on the bed. He started to kiss down her throat and her legs were wrapped around his waist. Kennedy was playing his hair and her eyes were close from how amazing Patrick does to her skin. From every push Patrick put into Kennedy he would look into her eyes. Seeing how much Kennedy misses Patrick not just body but soul. Patrick landed next to Kennedy she got up and straddle onto Patrick and started to kiss his chest. This didn’t slow down Patrick heart rate at all. He push himself back up and wrapped his arms around and went back to bed. Kennedy put her head on his chest and Patrick did hear her say “I love you” but it wasn’t found for him to know that she really said that. She close her eyes and drifted to sleep.

Patrick knew that he was having a dream but he was right in front of the Kidney Bean during a snow fall. He didn’t know why he was there and why he wasdreaming out it. He could hear some music playing and he didn’t know what the song was at all. Getting closer to the Kidney Bean he sees a women standing by just waiting for someone. Every step closer it was clear for Patrick that it was Kennedy. When Kennedy sees Patrick she takes a step back. Patrick’s steps went faster to get close to Kennedy. Then he heard someone knocking on the door. His eyes flutter open and he was back on Kennedy’s bed. It was Addison that knocked on the door. She was wearing Jon’s sleep wear.
“Kaner, what are you doing here?” Patrick looked around and sees that Kennedy wasn’t in bed but heard the shower going off with the song playing that he heard from his dream. Addison came closer to the bed.
“Kaner did you and Kennedy talked last night?"
“Sure of but I think that I might get her back to Chicago.”
“I think it’s a sign. One she let you sleep with her and have you heard that song before?” Addison pointed to the bathroom door. Patrick shook his head.
“It’s one of her favorite songs. She couldn’t stop playing that after your first date. I think that’s a step closer to get her back to Chicago."
“What’s the song called?"
“Amazing by One Eskimo. Well breakfast is almost ready, Jon is making whole wheat pancakes for the great win last night.” Addison tapped Patrick’s knee and leaves.
“We’ll be down soon.”Addison shuts the door, Patrick jumps out of bed and heads into the bathroom. Kennedy was still in the shower and the song was over but it starts again. He taps on to the shower door and Kennedy opens it.
“Do you mind if I join in?” Kennedy smiled and nodded her head. It didn’t take that much time for him to strip down since he was in his underwear. Also it didn’t take much time for Kennedy and Patrick to have a full out make out in the shower. Once they were both were clean and dress they headed down to the kitchen.
“Morning you two.” Jon handed Kennedy a plate of pancakes. As they sat around the kitchen table it was quiet for a minute.
“So how long are you going to stay Kennedy? You didn’t really didn’t give us a time table?” Patrick looked at Kennedy hoping that she doesn’t have to leave for Denver anytime soon.
“I don’t know and I haven’t told Matt when I am coming back. But that was a great win last night."
“Well I got that goal for the twins.” Patrick spoke.

While Jon and Patrick were cleaning up breakfast. Kennedy and Addison were talking in the living room.
“Don’t tell me that you are trying to get Jon to like the name Dexter for your son.” Kennedy rolled her eyes.
“I mean that’s a great name.” Kennedy still rolled her eyes and laughed.
“There’s Kennedy that I know and loved. So did you get a little something last night?"
“Addison.” Kennedy cover her face.
“So you and Patrick had sex last night. Was it good?"
“Let’s just say.” Kennedy was now whispering and looking if Patrick was eavesdropping.
“Patrick is so much better than Matt.” They both started to laugh then Addison felt one of the twins kick.
“Ow!” Addison tough her stomach. Jon came running into the living room when he heard Addison.
“Honey are you alright ?!” He came over and put his hands on her stomach.
“Yes I’m fine it’s just one of them kick me."
“Hey you two, you both don’t need to kick your mommy. I know it’s getting small in there but in time you will have the whole world to give you space.” Jon was talking to Addison’s stomach. Addison place one of her hands on to his head and one on top of his hands. Kennedy loved this moment and she didn’t want this to end. She could see that Patrick was leaning against the wall. Kennedy got up to make room for Jon to sit next to Addison. She walked to where Patrick was at.
“Do you want to take a walk?"
“I would love that.” As they walked around the block holding hand to hand.
“So are you going to do now?"
“What do you want me to do?”
“I want you to move back to Chicago and be with your family. I know that you love Matt, I mean who can you love two people equally."
“Do you love your sisters equally?"
“Well at this point no because of what happen but it’s different because I’m not in love with any of my sisters."
“Good point.” They reach a park and sat down on a bench.
“Kennedy not just me that wants you back here but Addison. I mean Jon is leaving since hockey season is here and she needs lots of hands with the twins. You’re life is here in Chicago not Denver and I love you."
“I love you to. Let me think about it more than I will tell you soon. I promise that Patrick.” Kennedy lean closer to Patrick and place her head on his shoulder.
“Okay.” He whisper. They stay on the bench for 5 minutes then headed back to Jon and Addison’s place. While they were heading back Kennedy was thinking of the pros and cons of coming back to Chicago. But she could think is about how Amanda is back in his life. She didn’t want to be that girlfriend that choses his friends and where he can hang out. She stop walking and Patrick was wondering what she was doing.
“Kennedy?"
"I will come back to Chicago if you do one thing for me.
“That would be?"
“It’s stupid but can you not talk to Amanda again."
“Sure, I will do that for you."
“Thank you."
“So does that mean you coming back to Chicago then.” Kennedy nodded her head. Once they got to Jon and Addison’s place they were in the living room watching tv. Patrick burst through the front door.
“Kennedy is coming back to Chicago!"
“Really?!” Addison hugged Kennedy.
“So when are you going to tell Matt."
“I’m leaving tomorrow to Boston because the Avalanche are on this long road trip and they won’t be home for a while. I need to tell this to Matt in person."
