Just Say Yes

It has been two weeks since both Kennedy and Patrick’s life has changed. Today Kennedy is taking Patrick to see the doctor to check how the collarbone. They didn’t say a lot in the car but they also knew that after Patrick’s doctor visits it’s going to be Kennedy’s turn with her doctor. Seeing how the baby is doing. Patrick got a text from his mother that she was at their place.

At the doctors office Kennedy was helping Patrick with everything. Opening the door, helping him sit down on a chair and it was getting Patrick mad that he can’t do that by himself.
“Do you want any water?” Patrick nodded his head. Kennedy grabbed a water bottle from the cafeteria. When she came back she handed him the water bottle. Kennedy forgot to removed the lid for him. So she quickly took back the water. Once the lid was removed from the bottle. Kennedy handed back to Patrick. Patrick was upset by that and took his time getting the bottle out of Kennedy’s hand.
“You know you don’t have to do everything for me.” He took the bottle out of her hand and chugged all of the water down.
“Sorry Patrick, I though since I am your fiancé and I love you. That I wanted to do that for you. I’ll wait outside when you’re done talking to your doctor.” Kennedy grabbed her purse and waited outside the door. She was so upset that Patrick was treating her like this. It didn’t take that long for Patrick’s visit to see his doctor. He knew that the heal time will be the same and the doctor thinks that he won’t be back on to the since not till May. He wants to play the sport that means to him a lot. Now he can’t play until the Blackhawks are in the final. If they can reach to that part of the playoffs without him. There’s one thing he needs to do before he leaves the office. He needs to apologies to Kennedy from the way he acted before the doctor came in.
When Patrick spotted Kennedy by the office door she was on her phone. She was on a group text with Addison and Patrick’s mother to have lunch over at Kennedy’s place. Addison of course will bring the twins since Jon and the Blackhawks are in New York to face the Rangers. Kennedy could see in the corner of her eye that Patrick was done seeing his doctor. When he got closer to Kennedy she turns to the door, opens it and walked to the car. Kennedy did open the car door for Patrick but she didn’t want to hear him say anything. Once again in the car it was dead quiet but it was a little intense.
As Kennedy put the car into parking, Patrick grabbed her hand before she turn off the car.
“Kennedy, I’m sorry that way I acted back there. I’m in pain a lot, I’m upset that I can’t play till May and that I can’t do anything on my left side of my upper body. Will you accept my apology?” Kennedy nodded her head and they both headed to Kennedy’s doctor.
“So Kennedy this is going to be a short visit because we can’t really see your baby since it’s all jut cells right now. When you come back in April we can listen to your baby’s heart beat. Do you have any questions for me?” Kennedy looked at Patrick to see if he had any questions.
“Just a couple.” Kennedy look back at her doctor.
“Do you know when the due date of our baby?” Her doctor looked at her chart.
“The second week of Nov."
“When do we know if it’s a boy or a girl?"
“That won’t be until the first week of July."

In the Kitchen Kennedy was getting their lunch ready. While Addison and Patrick’s mother was watching over the twins. Patrick was up in his room taking a nap. During the girl lunch Addison and Patrick’s mother were asking questions for Kennedy left and right.
“Have you and Patrick talk about the god parents yet?” Addison keeping a close eye on Kennedy.
“No not yet beside we have till November to pick."
“I bet it’s a girl.” Addison couldn’t take the smile off of her face.
“Any thing about the wedding yet?"
“Nope we really haven’t talk about the wedding stuff since having lunch with some of the Avalanche players. Hopefully we can talk about that later on." “Are you exited that this will be your first grand child?"
“I’m so happy and so proud of you and Patrick. If you need any help you know who to call."
“Thank you."

That night Kennedy was in the living room just reading a book. When Patrick came downstair from their bedroom.
“Are you coming up to bed soon?” Kennedy looked up and sees Patrick in his sling and just in his p.j bottoms. Seeing his abs made her back shiver.
“Yea in a little bit.” Patrick sat next to her.
“Can we talk about something?” Kennedy place the book down on the arm rest of the couch.
“Sure."
“I though maybe we can talk about dates. I know that with everything that has been going on with the both of us. I though that this was the only time that we could talk about it."
“I was thinking about the dates a little today when we found when our baby was going to be here. I was hoping that you will be ok that we have our wedding till next year. So I can have my body ready after having the baby."
“July then?"
“I don’t want it the same week with Jon and Addison thou.” Patrick look at his calendar on his phone.
“How about July 1st?” July 1st, Kennedy did like it because they are becoming one as a family.
“I like that."
“So July 1,16 will be our wedding date.” Patrick couldn’t take the smile off of his face.
“Kennedy?"
“Yea."
“Thank you, thank you for helping me from this collarbone. I love you."
“Love you to.”
“When they were walking to their bedroom, Patrick grabbed Kennedy shoulder to make her stop."
“There’s one more thing I need to tell you. i’m going to do whatever it takes to get back on the ice to win the cup for you and the baby."
