Quietly

Allyson never yelled at him. Even when he had hurt her the most she hadn't yelled. She had calmly rationalized, she had pled, and she had cried but never yelled. He could have handle yelling but the crying broke his heart. She was finally yelling at him. Maybe this is where things really would change. "Da I talk about feels" he replied "You take everyone feels and forgive. You no forgive me. No matter what Evgeni do." "I don't know how Evgeni" she yelled "I don't have the first clue on how to say it's okay. From the moment I found out that I was pregnant with Nat I loved her with my entire being. I assumed you would love that baby from the beginning as well. I was so very wrong. Your entire camp closed in on you and they basically accused me of whoring myself out to trap you or just being a whore. No one would let me talk to you Evgeni. I had to talk to Jay, Sid, or Kris. So forgive me if I have trouble reconciling the idea that you didn't want Nat." Ally didn't wait for an answer she walked out of the room. Evgeni knew he should go after her but he could hear her changing in the next room. He pulled on the Pens track pants and came out of the bathroom. Ally was standing in the bedroom pulling his hoodie over her tank top and shorts. Evgeni crossed the bedroom he hauled Ally up against him. He tipped her face towards his. "I want you every day before Natashka and every day after Natashka. Never I not want Natashka. Never I not think her mine." Evgeni laid his forehead against her "I love you then, I love you now, I love you both always." He was quiet for a moment. Ally swore she could hear both of their hearts thundering. "Allyson" he said in a questioning manner. "Please moye, please forgive." Evgeni's hand tipped her face up to his again so that he could see her eyes. The tears building in her eyes and rolling down her face broke his heart. He made her cry again. He never wanted to her to feel an ounce of pain but he seemed to hurt her at every turn. Ally couldn't help the tears falling. So many thoughts went through her head. So many accusations. But she remembered what Jay told her that morning. Jay had no reason to lie to her. He'd been there for her at her worst. Evgeni's thumbs cleared the tears off her face. "Please no cry." pled Evgeni "Break heart when you cry." He continued wiping away tears. He was murmuring to her in Russian. She wasn't sure what he was saying but he was still pleading with her. "Ev" she said quietly "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have forgiven everyone but you. I guess I really didn't care what others thought. But your thoughts. You didn't just break my heart you shattered it." He was still wiping away tears. "I no ever want break you" he replied as he pulled her up against his chest "YA tak tebya lyublyu. YA lyublyu tebya tseluyu vechnost' . Prosti menya. Pozhaluysta." Ally looked up at Evgeni as he spoke to her in soft Russian. She didn't know what it all meant but she knew enough to know he loved her and he wanted her forgiveness. Ally hands moved up to his face. It was her turn to dry tears. Instead she pulled his face down to hers. She kissed him gently on the mouth. Ally swept her thumbs over his eyes before kissing him again. She kissed the corner of his mouth. "No more apologies about this, no more blame Ev, we have to move forward." she said against his mouth. "Da" he replied. Evgeni tangled his hand in the strands of her pale hair. He kissed her. He kissed her like he wanted to. He kissed her as if she was his entire world. Because she was his world. He walked them back to the bed. Her legs hit the mattress. She wasn't sure she was ready for this. Evgeni stopped kissing her and turned down the bed. "Get in. Need to hold you forever." "Ev I'm not sure" she said "We need to go slow. We were never good at that." "I snuggle" he said smiling "Just hold. Promise." She pulled the hoodie off and tossed in the chair beside the bed. She climbed into the bed. Evgeni followed her. He pulled her over so that she was laying on his chest. Evgeni kissed the top of her head. Ally had instinctively tangled her legs with his. She was currently stroking her hand over his hipbones. He tilted her face up and kissed on the lips. "Maybe I kiss a little." Ally felt the laugh bubble up from her toes. She missed this playful side of Evgeni. She scooted further up his body and laid on her head on his shoulder. Evgeni looked at her and for the first time in 5 years she was exactly where he wanted her. He kissed her mouth gently. Ally's hand had found her way to his hair. Ally had usually had to work on game days but on those rare days when she could nap with him she would stroke his hair until her fell asleep. His mouth landed squarely on hers. He started to pull away. Ally tightened her hold on his hair. He growled. She knew all of his hot buttons. Ally bit at his full bottom lip. His tongue lashed out and sought entrance into her mouth. Dear lord she missed this. She missed him. Evgeni pulled away from her. "Nyet" he said "We napping. Slow." She kissed his mouth again. "Mean it. Just snuggle." She laughed again. Evgeni flipped them over so he was spooning her against his front. Ally's mind wouldn't stop whirling in a carousel of fear. She was scared that he would leave. She was scared that he would stay. She was scared that she would make the wrong decision. She felt Evgeni stir behind her. "Go sleep" he said "Brain is loud. We fix but not now." Ally closed her eyes. She cuddled into his warmth. Her brain flashed back to the first time he had held her this way. October 2008 Ally and Evgeni made their way in from the parking garage. She was still slightly breathless from their kiss. She wasn't sure what she was thinking inviting him to the apartment. Especially knowing that Kris was not going to be there to play chaperone that evening. Ally pulled of her boots by the door. Evgeni followed suit and left his trainers beside hers. Evgeni was still carrying her bag with her skates and work clothes. "Where you want?" Evgeni asked walking towards her. "I'll take it and put it in my room." she replied "You want to dig through the movies and pick one?" "Da or we can watch whatever you want" he answered he was still holding her bag. Evgeni obviously was going to be a gentleman and carry it to her room. He followed her into the guest room. She had been there a month and her room already looked more lived in that Kris's room. Kris had laughed as she had add little touches all over the apartment. Kris had laughed when she told him that coasters and a coffee pot were non negotiable items. Kris's idea of making coffee was running to Starbucks. He was very excited now when he woke up and coffee was brewed and usually some sort of breakfast. Evgeni had been in her room before. In fact he, Kris, and Pauly had helped her paint the room. She loved the dark chocolate brown color. Kris called it her cave. She had lightened everything up with Tiffany blue and white. Plus when the floor to ceiling curtains were open you could see all of Pittsburgh. So very different that the sights of rural Kentucky. He sat the bag on her desk and stepped up beside her. "You go to change" he asked "I should probably hang this one up so I can wear it tomorrow to your game. Or should I not wear it to the game. What are the rules for that? I am rambling again." she replied. "You definitely wear my number tomorrow. But I get you home jersey. That away. And I like when ramble." he said closing the distance between them "no rule who wear jersey. Everyone have different one. But you have my jersey. It be big but no one else have." Evgeni was smiling at her. She didn't know what to say. "Um girlfriends usually sit in box. You can sit in box with Vero or sit by glass." "I've never been to a hockey game Evgeni. I have no clue what to expect. Where ever you want me is where I will be." she answered. "Dangerous words Lyubimaya" replied Evgeni "Lot of place I want you." Evgeni pulled her up against him. Ally looked up at Evgeni from the circle of his arms. "See here work." He smiled at her. He leaned down and pressed his mouth against hers. "Here better." he said against her lips. Ally opened her mouth to answer him but he took advantage and deepened the kiss. Ally melted against him as his tongue slid against hers. She tangled her tongue with his. Evgeni pulled away from her and smiled at her again. His dark eyes nearly black with lust. "That best. You dress I find movie. Evgeni be gentleman." She smiled as he left the bedroom. Ally had thought about Evgeni kissing her hundreds of times but the idea was nothing close to the real thing. She wasn't sure if she should be excited or nervous about their date the following day. Ally pulled the jersey over her head and hung it up in the closet. She rummaged around in her drawer and found the Pens t-shirt that Kris had given her. It had Evgeni's number on the back of it and would definitely surprise him. She pulled the socks and legging off. Ally managed to redress herself in a pair of sofee shorts and the Pens shirt. She unbraided her hair and threw it up in a messy bun. Ally grabbed the UK throw off the chair in her room and went to look for Evgeni. Ally bumped into Kris in the hallway. Kris steadied her before she fell over. Kris began laughing at her. "Someone iz in a 'urry" he teased "Geno iz digging through your cartoons." "I didn't mean to run into you again. I'm always doing that. I was distracted. Cartoons. Shit I am rambling again. I always do this." Kris was laughing harder. He threw and arm around her and pulled her into his room. "The rambling iz ok" he said "'elp pick out my outfit." "Evgeni is waiting for me Kris." "And 'e will wait." Kris was stripping out of his clothes. Ally flopped down on the edge of his bed. Dear lord he was beautiful, too bad she felt the same for Kris as she did her cousins in Eastern Kentucky. Kris was tossing clothes on the bed. "What should I wear Ally?" "Where are you going?" she asked. "We are going to watch a basketball game then we are all going to the bar." he replied "Jeans and the black v neck t-shirt" she answered tossing the clothes at him. She watched him get dressed. It really was a shame to cover all that up. "Why am I in here playing paper dolls Kris." "Ally you know I love you like a sister. You know G iz my boy. I just want to make sure you understand things. I don't want you to get 'urt." "Kris we are just friends." she began as she watched him fuss with his hair. She knew he was just going to pull on a backwards ball cap but he always fixed his hair first. "Ally you are a 'orrible liar." said Kris "I know 'e likes you too. But we all tend to move fast. Slow chere." Ally kissed his cheek as she headed out of the bedroom "Noted" she said "I don't think he could hurt me." "I 'ope not." said Kris "'e iz a big bastard to 'ave to knock out. But I am me so I take care of it." He laughed but Ally knew he was being somewhat serious "I will be back late tonight. If you need me call me." Ally walked down the hall to the media room. Kris was definitely a spoiled bachelor. He had turned the 3rd and 4th bedroom in the apartment into a large media space with theatre style seating. It was awesome for games and movies. She wanted to laugh when she walked in because Evgeni was sitting in the floor next to the blu ray player digging through her Disney collection like a little kid. He was so focused on all the movies that he didn't hear her come in. "Find what we are watching" she asked coming to stand beside him. He smiled up at her. Him sitting flat on the floor made them close to eye to eye. She laughed when she looked at him. Kris wasn't psychic but Evgeni still had traces of her lipstick on his mouth. Before he spoke she ran her thumb across his bottom lip and removed all traces of glossy pink. "I think it looks better on me" she said showing him her thumb. "So that why Tanger threaten me." said Evgeni grabbing her small hand in his. "He tell you stay away from me." "Kind of" she replied "More along the lines of all of y'all are bad news." "Maybe used to be" said Evgeni still holding her hand "I know you not girl from bar." He pulled her down into his lap. "It be different with Ally." He replied. Ally expected him to kiss her or touch her in some manner. He held up the Sleeping Beauty blu ray she had recently bought. "Never see this one. Since not opened you watch with me." "You don't have to watch Sleeping Beauty. We can watch any of Kris's movies" she replied. He shook his head. "Nyet, I like Disney." he answered "Mama like princesses and my babushka always read me fairy stories." Ally shifted in his lap and open the blu ray and slid it in the machine. She grabbed the remote. Evgeni then stood up picking her up as he went. Ally threw an arm around his neck for balance. "Ev I really can walk around on my own." "Nyet" he replied "I like carry you." He walked over to the theatre seats and sat her on her own feet. "Chinese, Thai, pizza" asked Ally "What do you want?" "Whatever make Ally happy" he replied. Ally turned and walked out of the room. She called back to him that she left her phone in her room. Evgeni noticed that the Pens shirt she was wearing had his number on the back. He walked out of the room and looked for Ally. She had her phone and was digging in the kitchen drawer for menus. He was standing watching her. "Stalking not cool mon ami" said Kris coming up beside him. "When she get my shirt?" asked Evgeni. "I brought 'er two 'ome. Mine and yours." replied Kris "And I see which one she iz wearing" he called loudly. Ally smiled at both of them holding up the pizza place menu. "She lives with me and I am second place." Ally walked over and kissed Kris's cheek. "I will wear yours tomorrow under my jersey" she promised. "Oui see that you do" he teased "Why do I 'ave the feeling it will be covered with a Geno jersey." "And they say pretty hockey boys aren't smart" winked Ally "Besides I don't even have a Letang jersey." "Ally Kat" said Kris "my closet it your closet." "I'll keep that in mind, Kristopher." she replied as he headed towards the door "Be good." "Non, what fun would that be?" he called over his shoulder "G be good to my girl. Oh Vero said she will sit on the glass with Ally." "Da" said Evgeni. Kris gave them a wave before leaving them alone in the apartment. Evgeni came into the kitchen. Ally climbed onto the counter and sat down with the menu. Evgeni stood beside her. "So what do you want on the pizza?" "It not matter." said Evgeni "Not picky eater." "So anything you aren't supposed to be eating?" asked Ally. "I run extra on treadmill order whatever." he answered. Ally felt herself smile at him again. She was constantly smiling at him. He probably thought she was daft. She dialed the pizza place and gave them the order a chicken alfredo pizza. She gave the guy her credit card information. Evgeni frowned at her. "Why are you frowning at me Mr. Malkin?" asked Ally laying the phone on the counter. He was still frowning when he stepped closer to her. Ally was sitting on top the counter with her legs crossed and he was standing directly in front of her. "You no pay" said Evgeni "I always take care of Ally." He was now making a face somewhere between a frown and a pout. Ally scooted forward and dangled her legs off the counter. She motioned for him to come closer. He was still pouting as he closed the distance. Ally wrapped her arms and around his neck and pulled his mouth down to hers. She kissed him gently. When she pulled back he was still pouting. "Ev you don't always have to take care of everything. It's okay to let me do things for you too." said Ally kissing him again. "Between you and Kris I never get to pay for anything." She kissed him a third time. Evgeni started to protest. Ally then locked her legs around his hips and pulled him even closer. "No arguing Malkin." "No like you call me Malkin" said Evgeni "How long until pizza here?" "He said 30 minutes." replied Ally. She heard him say good before his mouth was back on hers. His hands were no longer braced on the counter beside her but instead now holding her face. She felt his tongue probe the seam of her lips. His tongue swept in and tangled with hers. He kissed her until they were breathless. Her hands crept up his neck into his hair. She pulled him back to her. She settled her lips on his. She nipped at his bottom lip. Their dual began again until she leaned back away from him to catch her breath. They picked up where they left off. Evgeni finally let go of her when the doorbell rang. He left her on the counter and went to answer the door. Ally climbed down from the counter remembering that she had to sign the credit slip.
Ally laughed at the expression on the pizza guys face. Apparently wasn't expecting a Pen to answer the door. Kris and Ally always ordered in her name. Ally signed the slip and took the pizza to the kitchen while Evgeni signed the pizza guys Pens shirt. He came into the kitchen and she was on her tip toes trying to reach plates and cups. He knew he should help her but the tiny shorts were riding up as was her shirt. He needed a shower a cold one after kissing. Maybe G rated Disney was what they needed. He crossed the kitchen he got the glassware down while she pulled drinks out of the fridge. They decided to sit at the kitchen bar and eat before heading back to watch the movie. Ally loved how they could talk about everything and nothing. Time seemed to fly when she was with Evgeni. Ally cleaned up after them while Evgeni went to get the movie going. He was sitting the last row of the theatre seat near the middle. She down in the chair next to him. He hit the play button. The movie had barely started when Evgeni leaned over and pushed a button between them. The arm between the moved. Evgeni tucked it between the two chair backs. "I didn't know it did this" said Ally. "Just this set" replied Evgeni. He pulled Ally across the expanse and tucked her into his body "There now I snuggle." Ally laughed. They watched half the movie snuggled up until Ally got up to grab her blanket. Ally laid down on the seats and put her head in his lap. Evgeni smiled down at Ally in his lap. His Ally was perfect. He loved that she sang along with the movie. He was rubbing her back. They had discussed the Disney princesses. Apparently the mermaid was her favorite but you couldn't get the movie on DVD or Blu Ray until December. He needed to find it for her. He realized she had quit singing. Ally was asleep in his lap. He continued watching the movie and was soon asleep as well. "G" called Kris "Man that can't be comfortable." Evgeni cracked his eyes open. Ally was still asleep in his lap. Kris was wrong holding Ally was very comfortable. "Come on carry her to her room." Kris was right Ally needed to be in her bed. He managed to get to his feet and scooped her up. She snuggled into his chest as he carried her. Kris had turned her bed down and turned on the bedside lamp. "Nite G" said Kris leaving the room "She needs to be up by 7:00am" As he was settling her in bed her eyes snapped open. "Sorry I fell asleep." She glanced at her bedside clock it was after 1 am. "No worries" he said "I fall sleep too." Evgeni set her alarm on her phone and sat it on the table. He leaned in and kissed her forehead. He started to leave the room and she grabbed his hand. "Stay" she said almost too quietly for him to hear "It's late. You promised to drive me to work in the morning." "It not far" said Evgeni he leaned in and kissed her again this time on the lips. "Please." she said quietly "Or I will worry and not sleep." "Da" he said. Evgeni pulled his socks off and tossed them on the chair. Ally sat up in the bed and watched Evgeni get ready for bed. He pulled his shirt off and tossed it to the chair. Ally felt her face flush bright red and she laid back down. She had managed to see glimpses of his body, but her imagination had nothing on the actual thing. It was all beautiful muscle. He turned towards Ally "Ok if I not sleep in jeans." Ally just nodded. She didn't trust her voice. He laid the jeans with the rest of his clothes. Dear lord whoever created boxer briefs had Evgeni in mind when they were designed. He was absolutely perfect. He climbed into the bed with her. She clicked of the lamp. She was lying on her side of the bed. Evgeni grabbed her and pulled her up against him. She found herself spooned against all the hot muscle he had just exposed. "I snuggle. Can't lay here not hold my Ally." he said. He dropped a kiss on the top of her head. "Sleep Lyubimaya. We just snuggle." Ally wiggled around until she found a comfortable spot in his arms. Normally it took Ally forever to fall asleep, but with Evgeni radiating heat and holding her close she was asleep in minutes. Ally woke up in her bed. She was burning up. Ally tried to move but couldn't. She then remember she had 200lbs pounds of Russian muscle in her bed. Sometime during their nap they had shifted positions. He was laying on her chest with his arm slung around her. He was holding her like a child might cuddle a favorite teddy bear. She glanced at the clock. The alarm would sound in 15 minutes. She ran her hand through his thick hair. She loved looking at him when he was asleep. She always had. Then again she just liked looking at him. Nat had so much of him in her tiny body. Her hand slid down his back. She felt the muscles shift. He looked up at her sleepily. He was lethally beautiful sleepy and disheveled. "I miss alarm" he asked. "Nope, I just woke because I got hot." she replied. She threaded her fingers back into his hair. He turned his head to make more contact. He kissed her stomach where her shirt rode up. She pulled it down quickly. "No hide from me" he said. "It's not the same after Natalya." she said shyly. He pulled at her shirt and kissed her again on her stomach. "It perfect. You perfect." he replied "I should have be there and feel her kick and grow." Her hands went to his face and she turned him to face her. "Ev, No more apologies. We can't keep rehashing this and survive it." she kissed his mouth. Then shoved him off her body "We have a recital to get ready for." "Natashka excited I be here. Which suit I wear?" he asked. Ally laughed "Ev we are in Prestonsburg no matter what suit you are over dressed. How about jeans and a button down?" "Da" he asked. "Wear one of the black ones with jeans." she replied. "What if I no bring black one?" he said "It's my favorite on you so I know you packed several" she sassed "Get dressed Malkin." She was climbing out of the bed when he hauled her back against him. His mouth found hers and he kissed her absolutely senseless. He sat her on her feet. "No call me Malkin" he said as he walked towards her bathroom. Ally laughed and headed for her closet. She could do this she could be with him and let him go on Friday. She had too.
