Chapter Sixty Nine
Nathan must have taken a cab back to his home, I sped to his house in hopes of making it there before him. Luckily I did, but only like two minutes earlier. The cab dropped Nathan off and he looked at me angrily, but I knew that he wasn’t angry at me.

“Nate-“

“Don’t stop me, Alyssa!” Nathan yelled as he stormed past me and walked towards the front door.

“Nate, hold on a second!” I yelled and then walked over towards him and looked towards the driveway to see that there was another car here, ‘…Don’t tell me that the idiots here!...’ I thought and then ran over towards Nathan as he went through his keys for the front door, “Nate, whose car is that?” I asked and Nathan looked up and his head shot towards the driveway.

“It’s his,” Nathan growled, “He’s here!”

“Nathan wait! Don’t do something stupid!” I yelled as Nathan kicked the door open and ran into
the house. I tried pulling on his arm, but I knew he was stronger than me, “Nate! Come on, you need to try to calm down!”

“Nathan? Where have you been?” we heard and turned our heads to see that Tammy was walking out of the bedroom in her nightgown, “Alyssa? What are you doing here?”

I looked at Tammy and saw that her hair was a mess and she looked like she had just finished having a round with the man that she was having an affair with, “Nate,” I called softly, afraid that my friend was going to attack his wife.

“Where is he?!” Nathan growled and I wrapped my arms around him, hoping that it might do something, stupid me. He shoved me to the side and then ran at Tammy.

“What are you doing?!” Tammy yelled and jumped out of the way as Nathan ran into the bedroom and looked around.

“Come out! I know you’re here!” Nathan yelled and I ran towards him and stood next to him.

‘…Should have brought Milan with me…’ I thought as I saw the closet door open and a guy with a sheet around his waist walked out, ‘…Definitely should have brought Milan…’ I thought as I looked and saw that Nathan was seeing red, “Nathan, breathe. Don’t kill him.”

“What the fuck, Tammy?!” Nathan yelled as Tammy ran over and stood next to the man. He took a step forward and I grabbed his wrist and stood in front of him. Nathan shoved me to the side and tried to go after the man, but I jumped on Nathan’s back and covered his eyes, “Alyssa stop! I’ll kill him!”

“I can’t have you doing that Nathan!” I yelled as I watched as the man ran past Nathan and I and went out the bedroom door. Tammy grabbed his clothes and followed him. Nathan tripped over his bed and fell to the ground. He rolled onto his back and tried to get up, but I climbed on top of him and tried to pin him down, “Stop it, Nate! You’ll ruin everything if you hit him!”

“Let me go, Alyssa!” Nathan growled and I struggled with him.

“Alyssa!”

I turned my head and saw Milan in the doorway, “Help!” I yelled and then felt Nathan push me off of him and my back slammed into the bed. Nathan jumped up and went to head towards the door, but Milan slammed it closed and stood in front of it.

“Sorry man, we’re just trying to help,” Milan said and I groaned and sat up, but felt a little prick in my thigh.

“Milan, where’s Dylan and Zach?” I asked and Nathan tensed up.

“They’re with Marshy,” he said and I sighed and nodded my head.

“Nate, I know you want to kill him,” Milan said and then walked over towards Nathan and placed his hand on his shoulder, “If you really want to kill him, I won’t stop you.”

“Milan!” I yelled wide eyed.

“Just know, that if you do, your kids, your career, your life will be over, you’ll be in jail,” Milan said and I sighed and tried to stand, but felt a little weird so decided to stay where I was, “Do you understand?” Nathan sighed and nodded his head, “I know you’re angry, but there’s a better way to handle this.”

“I want him to pay,” Nathan said and Milan nodded his head.

“He will, he messed with the wrong friend,” Milan said and Nathan patted Milan’s shoulder.

“Alyssa, I’m sorry, I know you were trying to help,” Nathan said and walked over towards me and held out his hand. I took a deep breath and then grabbed his hand and he helped me up. I felt dizzy and grabbed onto Nathan’s shirt, “Alyssa?” I heard Nathan call, but then felt my knees buck underneath me, “Alyssa!”

‘…What’s going on?...’

-Milan-
Nathan helped Alyssa stand and I turned towards the door, but I whipped my body around when I heard Nathan call Alyssa’s name and saw Nathan laying her on the ground.

“What happened?” I asked and ran over.

“I don’t know, I helped her up and she looked dizzy and then she went down,” Nathan said and I placed my hand on Alyssa’s forehead and felt that she was hot.

“What the fuck?” I growled and then looked to see that there was a needle on the ground. I walked over and bent down to look at it, “Nate.”

“What?”

“You do drugs?” I asked and Nathan looked towards me.

“What the fuck, Looch?!” he growled.

“Look,” I said and he looked at the needle on the ground, “Does Tammy do drugs?”

“She would never!” Nathan said and I sighed.

“You never thought she would cheat on you, but here we are,” I said and Nathan growled. Alyssa let out a groan and I looked over to see that she had a pained look on her face, “We need to get her to the hospital, whatever was on that needle is in her.”

“Nathan! Nathan, I’m so sor- Oh my god, Alyssa! What happened?!” Nathan and I looked up to see Tammy walking into the room.

“This is your fault!” Nathan yelled and stood up and walked towards Tammy, “What the fuck were you thinking Tammy?! Doing drugs?!”

“Andy brought them-“

“I don’t give a shit Tammy! You left your needle on the ground and Alyssa fell on it!” Nathan yelled and I picked Alyssa up and looked towards Nathan.

“We need to get her to the hospital,” I said and Nathan nodded his head. I looked down towards Alyssa and saw that she was starting to breathe hard, “Like now!”

Nathan nodded his head and shoved Tammy out of the way as we practically ran out of the bedroom, down the stairs and out the door. We all jumped into my car and I had Nathan drive while I was in the backseat holding onto Alyssa.

“Hey, hey, babe, stay with me, stay awake!” I breathed as I patted her cheek to stop her from falling asleep, but it wasn’t working, “Damnit! Nate what drug was it?! What are we going to tell the doctor- or fuckin’ Coach?!”

“I don’t know,” Nathan said as he just ran a red light and was speeding down the street, “Aw
fuck- Just fuckin’ perfect!”

“What?” I asked and then turned my head to see that a cop was behind us, “Fuck.”

Nathan pulled over and the cop came over. We told him that we needed to go to the hospital, he recognized us as the Bruins and agreed to escort us there.

Nathan pulled up front and I jumped out of the car and carried Alyssa into the hospital, thinking of some bullshit story as nurse ran over and what happened. I couldn’t come up with one, my words were rambled and I was panicking. Nurses took Alyssa into the back and I stayed in the room pacing back and forth not wanting to make the call to her sister, or worse, Coach.

“Looch!” I heard and turned to see Nathan running into the room, “Where is she?”

“They took her in the back.”

“You come up with anything?” he asked and I shook my head.

“I don’t know what to say,” he said and Nathan sighed.

“Just tell the truth,” Nathan said and I looked at him shocked.

“But Tammy-“

“Look, at this point I don’t care, she crossed the line a long time ago!” Nathan growled and I
nodded my head, “We need to call Coach.”

“And Becca,” I said and Nathan nodded his head and pulled out his phone, “I guess I’ll get Becca.”

I sighed as I dialed Rebecca’s number and almost hoped that it went to voicemail, but it didn’t, “Hey Milan, what’s up? Alyssa’s not with me.”

“No, I know- I um, I’m calling about Alyssa,” I said and then sat down on the chair and held my head in my hands and rubbed my face, “We’re at the hospital right now.”

“What?! Why?!” Rebecca yelled and I sighed and looked over towards Nathan and saw that he just wanted to sink into the wall and disappear.

“There was a situation-“

“Milan, I’ll hurt you if you did-“

“NO! No, I didn’t do anything- Just come to the hospital, I’ll explain everything then,” I said and then sighed.

“I’m on my way right now!” she said and then hung up the phone.

I sighed and then stood up and walked over towards Nathan and could hear Coach yelling on the other line. I couldn’t understand what he was saying, just knew that he was yelling,
‘…What’s gunna happen now? The season just started…’
