Chapter 5
Tylers POV
"You guys have got to see this girl!" I said as I removed my skate. I looked at my teammates who were all listenining attentively.
"She coming out to your party tomorrow?" One of them asked, I laughed.
"Nah, she can't make it... But I'm telling you shes hot as fuck and sooo easy to get, believe it or not she was the one who came on to me, strong!" I said, almost everyone in the locker room looked at me in disbelief.
"Must have been a puck bunny dude, shes probably pregnant and wants you to be her baby daddy!" Peverly said as he shook his head.
"You gotta watch who you go for Tyler, no way she was just interested like that, she knows who you are and is just using you, drop her." Val managed to say, which followed into the rest of the team giving me mini lectures on how I can't trust her, let alone any girl who comes onto me the way V did. I guess they were right in a way, I mean she somehow got into Chads private party..uninvited...and immediately wanted me, and the way she sprang up when she saw me at the bar last time, it kind of made sense. But the way she treated me, I dunno, it was almost like I was just a one night stand, I wanted her bad, I can't lie.
"Tyler you don't even know her name!" Jamie reminded me, he was right, all I knew was that she went by 'V'. I nodded my head and decided to just put on my clothes and head home and shower there instead. I had a flight to Toronto to catch in 3 hours so I needed to be ready in an hour and a half. I couldn't help but think about her though, I could barely remember what happened between the two of us, all I wanted to do was see her. She was stunning, her long dark hair, and light grey eyes, he amazing legs, God! Those legs. She was like a dream come true. I took a quick shower, called my family up in Toronto and made my way to the airport.
Vanessas POV
The team and I got to miss school on friday to grab breakfast and head to the airport. It was a four hour plane ride but it was better than taking a bus, it would've taken over a day to get there! I let the team in on Tyler's party and Mia and I's plan to go after our first tournament, only 4 of them agreed to join us, the rest didn't feel like coming out because they were too scared of getting caught. Once we got to Toronto we immediately headed to the hotel, coach ordered some take out which consisted of a lot of spaghetti, perfect! Mia and I shared a room along with Grace, our rookie. We decided to watch a couple movies on Netflix and before we knew it, we were knocked out. Guess there was no there were no rookie pranks for tonight.
The next morning we all grabbed some breakfast and went out to the gym in which the tourny would be held. Alexandria was captain of this volleyball team, although I felt that the team looked more towards me as a leader. Alexandria was 'more responsible' I guess. We won 1 out of the 4 games we played today. None of the games lasted more than an hour, dang! These Toronto teams were the real deal! In between games we went shopping and the six of us that were going to Tyler's decided to buy him some cologne (lacoste)... Not that he smelled bad or anything. We were all pretty upset at our loses, we were ranked in second last so far, hopefully we could at least make playoffs. We all headed back to the hotel after our dinner, coach said gave us some constructive criticism and in the end said he was happy with the way we played, but we all knew he wasn't. Grace, Mia, and I rushed to our rooms and immediately began to get ready for tonight, I couldn't wait for them to meet Tyler! He was so attractive. I heard a knock on the door and quickly wrapped myself up in my robe and open up, thank goodness it was just Maria, Chantelle and their rookie, Diana. I let out a sigh of relief.
"You guys ready its almost ten" Chantelle said.
"Not quite" I reached under my bed and pulled out a plastic bag that held as bottle of belvedere vodka, everyone had a grin on their face now knowing that it was going to be a good night.
"Did you sneak that through the airport?" Grace piped up.
"Course not! We bought it earlier, well some guy booted for us" I replied. We all took shots and I filled my flask up, I carefully placed the bottle under the bed and we made our way out. Mia called the cab and I gave him the address.
"So, what do you think this 'Tyler' does? Since he's always in Canada for business?' Mia asked.
"Not sure, he must be in the oil industry or something" I laughed. "Guess I struck gold and found myself a keeper!" I joked. They all laughed. But actually, why was he frequently up here, and why was his birthday party in Toronto? It was dark and hard to make out where we were, it was a 20 minute car ride so it must have been far from the hotel. The cab driver stopped infront of this beautiful home. Tons of nice cars were parked infront of it, so this definitely was the right address. The lights were on and as soon as we stepped out we could hear the loud music. I let out a shriek of excitement, I couldn't wait for them to meet him. We walked up to the door and there were a couple people standing there, they looked at us. Im not sure if they didn't like us or anything but they didn't seem to be bothered by our presence. Grace reached over to ring the doorbell and I smacked her hand away, the group of people standing there laughed.
"Grace no ones going to hear the doorbell, and if they did, it would me awkward" Mia laughed. I pushed the knob down and opened the door, only to see a totally packed and no Tyler to be seen. No one seemed to noticed that we walked in so we were good. I looked around for Tyler but couldn't find him.
"Wow! Nice place!" Diana gasped. So here we were, a bunch of 17/18 year olds at a huge party in Toronto, this was going go be fun. We started to dance in our own little circle only to be joined by another group of guys and we all had a good time with one another. After a while the music stopped and someone stood up on one of the tabled and whistled in order to get everyones attention.
"ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! Everybody shhhhh... Today we celebrate the birthday of none other than my boy over her TYLER SEGUIN!!!!" He exclaimed, as a group of guys pushed Tyler up on the table with him. Tyler was plastered, everyone in the house cheered. I gasped and clutched onto Mia and pointed at Tyler.
"THATS HIM!" I whispered. Mia the rest of the girls and I were drunk and began to giggle, like normal drunks. Suddenly 'Versace' by Drake began to play, or so I had thought, the guy that was standing on the table began to rap completely different lyrics to the beat, guess he had his own remix. We raised our hands up and decided to play along, it was still a good time. I lift my flask only to realize that it was empty, I looked around and walked around to find some more booze.
"V!!!!!" I heads a drunken voice call. Tyler. I turned around and he stood there surrounded by a bunch of people. He had a blue up in his hand and wore his hat backwards and it was tipped up a bit. I smiled at him.
"This is the girl! See!" His words slurred out of his mouth. His buddies looked at me and smiled. I recognized two from the other night and waved at them.
"Let go of me!" Tyler demanded, his drunk voice was so cute. He stumbled over to me. "Hey.." His voice lowered, I guess he was trying to sound sexy. I laughed. "Im s..Im sor...sorry we had to meet like this, I didn't....think you were coming?" He managed to say, I chuckled and gave him an awkward hug.
"Yeah! Surprise! My friends and I got you something.." I pulled out the nicely wrapped cologne box from my clutch, (Thank God it was weighing it down) and tried to hand it to him, only to have his friend take it from me and place it on the table to our left. I looked over to see a large pile of huge presents on that same table, my eyes wandered to the floor, wow... Guess the present was going to mean nothing compared to the others.
"Oh thank you V!! You didn't h-have to! You being here is a nice enough present," Tyler planted a kiss on my cheek. I smiled awkwardly and sighed. His friends were still looking at me, their eyes were like daggers.
"I'm Vanessa" I finally said, trying to make my way in with them. They smiled at me and pulled Tyler off of me.
"Bye Vanessa" one of them said, coldly. Ouch..The night went on and we all met new people, it was a pretty good time, I made sure none of us drank to much to avoid getting a hangover. I decided to explore his home and went upstairs. The walls were filled with family pictures and pictures of him in hockey gear, figures he played hockey. From the pictures I realized he had two sisters and a dog, he was the only boy. I stumbled across a large picture frame with a jersey inside, it said 'SEGUIN 91' on it, I blinked quickly, hockey was this guys life. I began to think... Who was this guy? I checked the time on my phone, it was three in the morning, we had to be up by 6:30am, we had 3 hours of sleep left as of right now. I quickly called a cab for a pick up and ran downstairs. I was beginning to sober up. As I was going down, Tyler was coming up, he changed clothing. He grabbed my arm,
"Hey, where are you going?" He said. I exhaled loudly, I wanted him right now. I was lost for words at his touch. "Come here" he pulled me in close to him. "Follow me," I guess he was sobering up too. He lead me to his room and shut the door.
